Rosa meant what she said about trying to get as much training done as she could before she had to head back to the other witches. We showed her to her room and then went to make lunch. As soon as we all sat down for lunch the questions began.
"So, what kind of abilities do you have?" Rosa asked.
"Um, I am not sure. What do you mean?" I ask confused.
"Well, each witch has one area that they specialize in even though you should be able to dabble a little bit in each area of witch studies. The fact that you are also a werewolf means that your abilities might differ slightly or maybe you even have less abilities. Some witches have an elemental affinity, some have almost skinwalker tendencies while others mostly focus on herbs and potions. Have you noticed anything unique about you that might hint at any of these abilities?" She asks sweetly.

After we finish our lunch, Rosa and I head outside to start training. She immediately takes off into the woods like she knows the way around already. I guess if she has been keeping an eye on me for a while now then there is a chance that she knows where she is going. I am not quite sure where we are heading yet though.She keeps striding purposely through the undergrowth and after a few minutes I start to get a sense of where she is taking me. Keeping my mind link with Dante open I tell him that I think we are heading to my old den. He is to inform the patrols to stay away from there while we are out and warns me to be careful. He is just as nervous as I am about me being alone with a witch but Rosa insisted that our craft is supposed to stay between women only and no man can be present. With Rosa's help, I quickly learn different herbs and plants that are used for potions as well as how to store them. She makes sure that I write down different uses as well as the ones that are not to be mixed at all. I even have to keep track of different side effects of the ones that are not to be mixed so I know what to expect. Some combinations cause a deadly gas, some explode and others will turn to cement. I cannot imagine having all of this memorized the way that she does but she just keeps rambling off facts about different ingredients that I am expected to remember. By the time dinner rolls around my mind is so exhausted that I can barely think straight anymore. Rosa told me that she was going to teach me how to make protections spells and potions but ever since we started with potions we have not gotten past learning ingredients. There is a lot more to this than I thought there would be. How much am I going to be able to learn before she has to leave?

Rosa had some very valid points concerning the future of both witches and werewolves. We do need to find a way for both races to work together and find some semblance of peace. If there were more hybrids like myself we could find a way to be mediums between the two races but as it is Rosa still insists that I am the only one she knows of.As Dante finishes up cooking, I stand next to him in thoughtful silence. He seems to be just as lost in thought as I am as he has not tried to talk to me either. The silence is a little comforting as we each have time to work through our thoughts before we talk about things together. Rosa has been inside ever since she left us with the bombshell thoughts about someone taking over the Coven and changing the way things are run. When we go to bed that night Dante and I are still oddly quiet after the day's events. Not sure where to start on the entire subject, I, instead, sit in quiet contemplation for a while. How are we supposed to get the entire pack to let me put protection spells on them? I am not sure about the potions but I do not think that there is a way to slip them all a protection potion without them knowing what is going on. I would really rather not worry the entire pack about the situation with the witches but it is beginning to look like we will not have a choice."Sweetheart, you have been quiet all evening. I know this is a lot to handle but is there anything that I can do to help you out?" Dante offers."Not unless you know exactly how we should slip these potions to the entire pack?" The last morning with Rosa I decided it best to get a head start. After our experiment in the woods that resulted in me opening my senses to nature more, I feel like I have a hyper awareness of my surroundings. Before, just my 5 main senses were enhanced from being a werewolf. Now, it feels like they are almost secondary to the awareness that I receive from being a witch. I canfeel what is going on around me instead of just hearing, smelling, or seeing it. I can feel each breath that Dante takes from beside me, I can feel Rosa already awake and waiting for me. I can evenfeela sense of danger in the air for the future.Now that I know that Rosa is to leave today, I cannot help but wonder if we have been right to trust her all along. Is she really leaving so that she does not draw more attention to me, or is she leaving before I learn more than she wants me to learn? I want to believe that she really is trying to help

We made the fast trek to my old den without any witnesses as to where we were going. I am still nervous to step back inside after Quin was attacked. I am not sure what to expect. Hopefully, no more damage has been done to the place after the last time I stopped by. When I go to climb inside, I realize that I am definitely not the same size I was before I moved in with Dante. I definitely gained some more meat and muscle on my previously skeletal frame.As we enter the den formally I am slightly pleased to see that it does not look like anybody else has invaded my den. I might not have been here for a while but it still feels like a piece of me in here. "I see what you mean by somebody stopping in. It looks like they were trying to find out who, exactly, you are. I am not sure who was here but it definitely looks like they were trying to find out if you are the hybrid that we have been searching for or not." Learning potions and spells is not as easy as opening myself up to nature was. I was hoping that it would come much more naturally to me than it did but turns out, I might actually have to practice this. I have never done homework before so this is going to go interestingly. "Good, now make sure that whenever you say a spell that you say it with intent while picturing exactly what you want to happen as well. DO NOT let yourself get distracted during a spell or a potion. That can cause the spell to have the opposite effect as desired if not worse. Now, I want you to keep practicing every day until this all comes second nature to you. Even if I am not around you have to keep up with it to make sure that you are not doing more harm than good with your potions." Rosa instructs. It is time for us to head back to the pack house and for Rosa to leave for the Coven again. I would like to learn more from her before she leaves but I am out of time for that. Will I

With Rosa gone making the extra protection potions takes a little longer. I did not realize how much I relied on her to guide me in making these potions. Sometimes, I find myself second guessing what I already know while other times I make simple mistakes that I know better than to make. When Rosa was here, I did not second guess myself because she was constantly with me keeping an eye on me. Now that I rely on just myself, I find it much harder to keep track of everything.Dante wants to help me with the potions but there is not much that he can do. With the threat of the witches closer than ever we have to amp up the defense classes and add in some moves that would be more oriented towards witches instead of other wolves. I still feel as if we should tell the rest of the pack what is going on with them and I think that Dante is starting to agree. He has not fully admitted it but it seems ridiculous to try and keep this from them much longer since we know more about wh
