Dante got the kids up nice and early to go fishing. Instead of cooking breakfast like he would normally do, he took the kids to get some donuts. What he is thinking by getting them a lot of sugar and then taking them fishing, I am not sure but I will sure enjoy watching them through his eyes when the sugar hits. After I helped to get them ready for fishing, I left to head to the witch's house knowing full well that they will already be getting up and moving for the day. The witches that focus on the house garden have most likely been up for quite a while taking care of the plants before it gets too hot outside.Even though I could take the hidden tunnel to the house, I decide to walk instead. It is a gorgeous morning out there with the sun just starting to peak out over the horizon. The sunrise has always been one of my favorite times of the day. A time when I can see the Moon and the sun in the sky at the same time even if only for a bit. The walk is really peaceful with most of th
"Which of these witches need to be tested today?" I ask as I walk up to Elle and Rosa after we get done with our buffet of a breakfast."Samara and Tabitha should be ready. They are both Telekinetic." Rosa answers."Actually, if we are going with Telekinetic witches there are two others as well. Over there, that is Zoe and Fiona. Both of them are fairly close to being on par with Samara and Tabitha. They should be tested at the same time. That way we can always test in groups of four." Elle offers. It would make sense to keep the same testing size. That way no group could ever say that another group had it easier. I have not spent much time when it comes to Telekinesis so that is something that I am not as familiar with. "Okay, we can test all four. Now, I am not as sure on this area of witchcraft as you two are so would you join me during their practice so that I can get your opinions as well. Maybe you could even show me what to look for when I am testing this particular area." I
Once all of the witches arrive, I am shocked to see that there are only 5 novices total. That means that if we are going to test 4 of them to move up to the next level then there is only one more novice left in training. This is a severe problem that we are definitely going to have to find a solution to. Soon, too.Samara and Tabitha seem to be byond ready for their test to move on. Zoe and Fiona are not far behind by any means. With Fiona joining the Coven late, I am more than happy to see the progress that she must have made in such a short time. The dedication that she has shown to her studies is quite comendable. As class is finishing up, I stand up to make an announcement to everyone. All of the witches in the class sit down and focus their attention solely on me as soon as I stand up. The witch teaching the class is Circe who is also telekinetic. She gives me a small wave towards the center of the room so that I can tell them all the news."Hello, my fellow witches. We have come
With the door propped open for everybody to have temporary access to the family quarters, I work on starting Chelsea's room. The witches all stroll in to add some touches one at a time. Since her room back at the pack house is a pretty blue color, it only seems natural to change that up a bit here. Plus, with it being inside a Coven's home I want to keep it looking like a witch's room even if she is not capable of doing magic on her own."I was wondering if I could be the first to contribute to her room?" Hazel says walking through the door.Smiling at her, I nod my head and watch as she gets to work. She turns the walls into a nice a subtle green color. That is not all that she does though, she causes some ash white tree branches to grow up the walls in different patterns. In some spots, the branches jut out more and form shelves while in others they are so sunken into the wall that if they were the same color as the wall you would not be able to tell that htey were even there. Next
When I make it back to the pack house for lunch, I am unsurprised to find that all the kids can talk about is the fish that they caught. They keep going on and on about how different their fish were as well as how hard it was for them to reel them in. I smile as they tell me all about it since they do not realize that I was watching through Dante's eyes."Did you get my room finished then?" Chelsea asks excitedly."I thought that your room was already finished? If not then where have you been staying?" Caleb asks confused."No, my room at the Witch house. I have a room here and a room there. She was finishing that room this morning while we were fishing." Chelsea explains before turning to me with that look of excitement still written on her face. "Yes, I did get it done. Actually, we all got it done. All of the witches wanted to make sure that you felt comfortable there so they all contributed to your room today. Each witch added something of their own to your bedroom to make it spe
As soon as everything was cleaned up from lunch, I gathered the kids around and began walking them towards the witch house. I thought briefly of taking the tunnel but I do not want to many others knowing about it. Chelsea will, of course, learn about it and Kevin and Julia already know but I am not sure that I want a child to know just yet. They sometimes find it awfully hard to keep secrets. Especially one as cool as this one.Instead, we take a walk through the town towards the witch's territory. All of the wolves stop and wave at us as we pass them. Julia has decided to join me in case Caleb gets nervous at all. It is not everyday that a wolf pup goes into a house full of witches on their own. Normally, it is something that a wolf would avoid. Caleb has not had a chance to get to know any other witches besides Julia and I so far and I do not want him to be too nervous.Dante and Kevin are staying behind to take care of some pack business until we get back to watch movies. There is
Chelsea and Caleb spent almost an hour getting to know Rojo before they began to grow bored. I just enjoyed watching them as they got better aquainted with him. He was playful and sweet the entire time. He seemed to really flourish while the children were spending time with him. He might have grown in power spending time with me but the time spent with the kids seemed to help his demeanor quite a bit. Finally, it is time for us to begin getting the catfish settled into its new home. Rojo seems happy enough to help keep an eye on the fish as Chelsea talked on and on about it. She really seems to like a fish that she has only known for a short period of time. The fight to reel it in must have caused some type of bond. "Bring the bucket with your fish over here. Rojo come back in the water and join me please. Let's get this fish a new home." I say happily.Rojo walks to the edge of the water before turning into a bird, flying over the water a few feet and flopping back into the water a
Once Chelsea finally finishes saying goodbye to Rojo and her catfish, I lead her into the house to show her her room. As soon as we enter the front door Chelsea and Caleb stop and stare on in awe at the foyer. When Chelsea notices the fountain with the witches and the wolves she runs over to it laughing. Her hands instantly go into the water as she continues to laugh. With a flick of my hand I cause air to make its way out of the wolve's upturned mouth sounding like a genuine wolf howl. The witches in the foyer all stop and take in the scene as Chelsea's laughter bounces off of the walls. Caleb joins in as well as the howl goes on for a few moments.Once her laughter slows down some, I join her at the fountain. She is covered in water all of the way down to her knees. It is a good thing that we have already placed some of her clothes in the closet upstairs. She will be able to use her new bedroom and bathroom to clean up before heading back."Are you ready to go and see your room? If
"Wait, you can do that?" Frank asks shocked. "Yes, of course I can. It is not something that I have done often, actually only one other time but it is an option. It is one that terrifies her." I admit. "Who did you do it to before?" Rand asks me. "I did it to Morden. There was no other way to stop her from coming after my pack or my family." I answer simply. "Your grandmother said that Simonetta was behind that the entire time. That only makes it right that she gets the same punishment if not worse than what Morden received." Rand points out. I had not thought of it that way but it is true. Still, we need to have a system set up for something like this. Otherwise, there will always be somebody that takes advantage of the power and that is not something that I can condone. "That is very true. I had not thought of that but this is not a decision to be made lightly. There might be longer reaching consequences that even I am not aware of by using this ability. Still, I see no other o
It did not take long at all for the Hybrid Council to arrive. They all file in looking a little shocked to see Simonetta there, unable to use her magic as she floats slightly in the air. Quickly, they find their seats. Then, both Rand and Frank walk in as well. I had not thought of inviting them but I am glad that Dante did. With how long she terrorized their pack it is only fitting that they are here for this as well.I smile at them all as they whisper among themselves for a few moments. This is a bit of a shock for those that were not here to see Simonetta arrive. For Frank and Rand, they finally see their enemy tied up and floating in the air. They are not aware that I can take away her ability to use magic so this is going to be a shock to them when the meeting starts. "I take it you called us all here for a reason?" Elle says once everyone starts to calm down."Yes, I did. As everybody here knows, Simonetta has caused quite a few problems for us. She has terrorized werewolves,
Simonetta rushes towards me using wind to guide her speed. It is not enough to throw me off guard though and I shove a wall of dirt up in front of me. She almost crashes into it before she is able to skid to a stop at the last second. If she had prepared then she might have been able to use the air that was helping her speed up to me to jump over the wall but instead, she is used to using her other powers for combat and did not make the decision in time.As soon as she begins to stop, I tear down the wall and shift into werewolf form quickly to land on top of her with my teeth to her neck. Out of all of the forms that I could have turned into this was the only one that registered as an option. I would like for her to see the one thing that she thinks is beneath her be the thing that brings her down. For once, she surprises me when she throws me off of her with some air. I quickly flip over and land on my paws. I shift back and face her again. She is breathing hard and I find myself a
As soon as my illsuion drops I see Simonetta's face blanche. Chelsea drops to the ground and has it swallow her up as she falls through it to meet the others. I send her a brief thank you as she helps to keep them all safe from whatever back up plan Simonetta could have. She sends me a sad farewell. Apparently she is worried about whether or not I am going to make it out of this one. I might not have used much magic recently but I guarantee that there is no way I will let her get away with this threat. Today, she is going to go down and she is not going to be a threat to anybody with werewolf blood ever again."Wait, you had the baby? No! You can't have had it already!" She screams in rage."Actually, I can. There was nothing stopping me from having it. There is also nothing in the way of me putting a stop to you and your bullying once and for all" I say. She takes a few steps back as she steels herself for what we bothk now is going to happen next. It is a shame that the rest of the
"Why would she ever want to go with you?" I ask Simonetta in shock."I am sure that she can see the benefits when she realizes that if she doesn't then she will never get to meet the bundle of joy in your stomach. I will personally make sure that you are unable to deliever them. After all, the more powerful the babes the less the mother can use magic so I am sure that you are not able to defend yourself very well." Simonetta says triumphantly.I try my best to look worried. I really do. I find that it is difficult to be worried about her though. She has never really had a lot of sway over me. Even when I first realized how much stronger than her I am I had found it difficult to be scared of her. "You really think that I am afraid of you? Even without being able to use my powers you do not worry me. I have plenty of other witches that are able to come and help me." I say."Not before something bad happens to you. Chelsea, I would hate to see for anything bad to happen to Laina. I just
Each team splits up and gets ready to make their way through the obstacle course. They are all going to have to take turns trying to make it through safely. Each team has a designated amount of time before they get elminated. The one that makes it through the fastest and with the least amount of mistakes, will be the ones to win the competition. The course is very similar to the one that we did with the entire pack when we first started training. The one that really got the women moving faster as they fought to make good time through the course to beat the men. This one is just a little more geared towards children and not fully grown adults. Some of the obstacles are smaller to better accomodate their size, some things are closer together and they have even added some new obstacles that would have been difficult for the adults. There are also some obstacles that are going to require teamwork to make it through. If they do not work together then they have no hope of making it to the
It takes much longer than planned to get the babies ready for travel. I have never packed a diaper bag before but luckily Scarlett shows up to help me get them ready and squeal over the twins for a minute. Or more precisely, several minutes."I can't believe that they are finally here! I swear it felt like your pregnancy was never going to end. Every time that I thought you were going into labor and you never did. Yesterday, I had no idea that you were going into labor. How did you keep that from me?!" She says to me."It was not exactly on purpose. I did not even know that I was in labor until I spoke to Dante and then Elle confirmed it. It was a really odd day. We had a lot that happened that day so I thought that everything I was feeling was just from stress." I admit to her."Ha! For once, I could have answered that if you had just talked to me. Instead, you have me doing made up jobs with you to help me out." She says excitedly.I shake my head as she begins showing me exactly h
The first night with the babies was quite a bit of a learning curve. Whenever we put them in their bassinets they just started to cry nonstop until we picked them up again. It took a couple of hours to find out that if we put them into the same bassinet they were able to sleep peacefully and not wake us up. By the time we managed learning that, I was beyond exhausted and ready to sleep. Thankfully, there was more than enough people in the house to help us out throughout the night. When I wake up I find that Dante is already standing over their bassinet watching them sleep. They have managed a few hours of sleep straight which for me was quite shocking considering that they are newborns. "How are they?" I ask him sleepily.Chelsea decided to sleep on one of the loveseats last night as well. She was just too excited to go to sleep in her bedroom after I had the babies. I do not blame her but as she shifts when I start talking I do realize that that might have been a mistake. She is goi
Chelsea comes running in once the babies start to cry for food. Her face is filled with excitement as she rushes over to me. Even though they are hungry, I allow her to hold and rock Caterine while I first feed Archer. I might get good enough to be able to feed them both at once in the future but for now feeding just one is tricky. I never knew that it could be this hard to feed a baby."Hi Caterine, I am your Aunt Chelsea. We are going to be best friends. You are going to get to go to school with werewolf pups and use magic. It is going to be wonderful. I can't wait to teach you everything that I know." Chelsea coos to the baby making all of us smile. It is a good thing that she already has so much experience being around babies because she does a great job holding Caterine while Archer is feeding. She does sit down though as she looks at her. Even though Caterine was crying just a moment ago from hunger, she is now looking at Chelsea with wide eyes. Werewolf pups have much better ey
