Safiya is conspicuously absent the next morning at breakfast. I can tell by her power signature that she is here but she did not come to eat breakfast with the rest of us. Simonetta, on the other hand, had no issues coming to breakfast with the Coven.

"So, Laina, when do you plan on getting the witches and the werewolves to mingle some more?" Simonetta asks.

I ponder the question before answering. This would be a wonderful question to have Safiya with us for. Hoping that my hunch that they have a way to communicate with their minds, I choose my next words well.

"I am hoping to have a dinner soon with both species. Considering a lot of the mingling that has happened lately, I have high hopes that it will be fruitful." I tell her sweetly.

"Oh, do the species mingle often that you know of then?" She asks with a brow raised.

"The few times that I know of they seem to." I admit. While I am talking Hazel is very unsuccessfully hiding the fact that she is freaking out over what I am say

Sorry about the sporadic posts guys. Right after my wedding my Mom got really sick and has been in and out of the hospital. Hopefully I will be able to get back into the book more soon.
