2022-01-06 05:26:15Finding out where my childhood home might be located is invigorating. Even though I know that we need a plan, I am infinitely more determined to go and look for it. Is it as I remember or is it something different? Will there be clues as to what happened to my parents? All of these questions keep spinning in my head and I do not have an answer until we actually find the house.
Deciding it best that we focus on my training some more before we try to go find it, we settle down for some lunch. This time we are just having some nice and simple sandwiches and chips for lunch. There is a touch of horseradish on our deli style sandwiches which is simply amazing. We begin to plan when we can go and look for the house as we eat. He makes me promise that when I do find it I do not try to go into the house alone. I agree with it considering we do not know if it is going to be a trap or not.

Yes, I am just as sore this morning as I thought I might be. We ended up staying in the bedroom for the entire night. The only time Dante got up to leave was when he went to the kitchen to bring us some more sandwiches. When we got tired we turned on a movie in his room. I feel absolutely invigorated after my sparring match with Kevin. It seems strange to think that I am actually good at something. It seems pretty obvious that he is better than he let me see but it still feels amazing to have done that well. For once, I do not feel like I lack basic knowledge in some aspect. Making cupcakes with Scarlett while we talk and joke about my training is more fun than I had anticipated. A month ago, I would never have imagined myself here, making cupcakes with a friend, joking about beating a beta in a sparring match that was put together by my Alpha mate. Not even in my wildest dreams would this have been possible. The craziest thing that I could think of at the time was saying hi to somebody. Dinner last night was absolutely amazing. I think that little Italian restaurant is quickly going to become my favorite place to eat after Dante's own cooking. This morning some of my soreness is easing a little bit so I guess that means it is time to get back to training. The pack dinner is tonight so I should really try to get done early.Stretching, I look around and see that, like always, Dante is already ahead of me and in the gym. When Scarlett gets to the pack house with the cupcakes I go outside to help her bring them all in. "Hey Scarlett, I see you got them all here. Where is Quin? Shouldn't he be helping you?" Dante still seems rather worried about me coming with but he seems resigned to the fact that I am not staying behind. There is no way that I would let them go without me if it does, in fact, have to do with me. My only friend's mate is missing as well so if she is going then I am too. I do not think that there is anything that they could do at this point to make me stay behind. Since there is a pack dinner going on in the back, we figure that it is best to go out a side door instead. Once we arrive back at the pack house, Amora comes rushing over to make sure we are all alright. "What happened! Is everything okay? Did you find Quin?" Simonetta rushes towards me using wind to guide her speed. It is not enough to throw me off guard though and I shove a wall of dirt up in front of me. She almost crashes into it before she is able to skid to a stop at the last second. Each team splits up and gets ready to make their way through the obstacle course. They are all going to have to take turns trying to make it through safely. Each team has a designated amount of time before they get elminated. The one that makes it through the fastest and with the least amount of mistakes, will be the ones to win the competition. The course is very similar to the one that we did with the entire pack when we first started training. The one that really got the women moving faster as they fought to make good time through the course to beat the men. This one is just a little more geared towards children and not fully grown adults.Some of the obstacles are smaller to better accomodate their size, some things are closer together and they have even added some new obstacles that would have been difficult for the adults. It takes much longer than planned to get the babies ready for travel. I have never packed a diaper bag before but luckily Scarlett shows up to help me get them ready and squeal over the twins for a minute. The first night with the babies was quite a bit of a learning curve. Whenever we put them in their bassinets they just started to cry nonstop until we picked them up again. It took a couple of hours to find out that if we put them into the same bassinet they were able to sleep peacefully and not wake us up. By the time we managed learning that, I was beyond exhausted and ready to sleep. Chelsea comes running in once the babies start to cry for food. Her face is filled with excitement as she rushes over to me. Even though they are hungry, I allow her to hold and rock Caterine while I first feed Archer.
