For the next week, I spend almost every spare moment that I have helping the witches create a new house for themselves. The great big dome that I created the first night turns into a commom area for all of them to share. Even most of the furniture is made from the earth.I also use this as an exercise to see which of the witches are strong in using the elements and if any need to work on them. There are a few that have a great eye for detail and are able to add details that I might not have thought of before. Some of the witches have just neglected training in the elements so they have a lot of work to do to catch up.If I am not there with the witches then Elle is. I still do not feel safe leaving them alone so one of us stays with them at all times. Elle also takes it upon herself to begin training some of the witches so that we have more hands to work on the place. Overall, by the end of the week, each witch has their own bedroom and bathroom, there is a kitchen and a joint dining
My world is crashing down as I watch Scarlett struggle to stay with us and her pup. Dante and Quin come rushing back when Dante notices my sudden change in mood. There is no more sugar coating what is going on as her blood continues to seep out of her while Elle tries to get the pup to shift back."I need you to help." Elle says sounding strained."What do you need me to do?" I ask with no hesitation."I need you to try to talk to the pup. It knows that you and it's mother are friends and even family so it might listen to you better. It is similar to plants so it does not quite understand the words completely. You will need to send pictures to get the point across." She tells me hurriedly.Alright, well here goes nothing. I send my awareness straight to her pup and am shocked to notice just how cute and furry the little one is. As it senses me there, I can feel that it is scared of what is going on. I send pictures of myself and Scarlett hanging out before I try to convince it of anyt
As we exit Scarlett's house I can feel the Moon Goddess smiling on what we accomplished today. Only this time, instead of smiling on me, she is smiling on Elle. If Elle had been capable of making a decision that would lead to saving a werewolf life before I was born then we would not be here right now. I peek over at Elle and see that she has a small smile on her face as we continue to make our way down the street to the pack house. I never would have thought that I would see this day when I first met her. She purposefully went to a werewolf's house with full intentions to be there just in case something went wrong and she was needed. The witch walking next to me is a far cry from the one that did not stand up for her son until it was too late."Would you like to join us for dinner tonight?" I ask her."No, that is alright. Thank you but I have been neglecting Julia for the passed week. It is about time I head there and spend some time talking to her. Besides, you have been so busy s
I ended up sleeping for over 24 hours before I finally woke back up. This was definitely not the plan. I hope that Scarlett does not think that I thought anything was more important than her and her new baby boy. In fact, that is going to be my first stop after I get up and get dressed. My rumbling stomach also reminds me that I have not eaten for over a day and should most likely get that out of the way before going to get my baby fix as well."I see that somebody is finally awake again. I had Elle come and check on you once. I was worried when you did not wake up." Dante tells me when I enter the kitchen in the morning."You called Elle over because I was sleeping?" I ask amused."Well, I have never seen you sleep that long. You did not even move most of the time. It was almost like you were in a coma. Elle promised that you were just exhausted. She suggested that you take some time off from training and using magic. Just a day or two." He adds in a hurry at my flustered expression.
Walking into Scarlett's house immediately lifts a weight from my shoulders. As soon as I see Scarlett laying on the couch with her new baby laying on her stomach, I breath a sigh of relief. This is definitely as it should be. They are just bonding and enjoying their time together, stress free.I walk over to them and watch the faces that the baby is making at his mother. He cannot seem to figure out what to do with his mouth. As he stares at her face like she is the only thing in the world that means anything, his mouth just keeps forming shapes. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. "You made it! I was worried that you would not make it to see my anytime soon." Scarlett says smiling at me. She never takes her eyes off of the baby as she talks to me. I have never seen anybody stare so intently at another person. The love that I can feel between the two is awe inspiring. Quin is nowhere to be seen but I am sure that he is still here for when she needs him."Of course I did
Not using magic is much harder than I had expected. I did not realize how familiar I had grown with it until I tried to not use it. Every time I walked outside or passed a plant, I would automatically try to connect with the earth and help the plants out but at a pointed look from Dante, I stopped. I have not seen Julia or Kevin since I got back and that is something that I am looking forward too. Dante may have let slip that they have been spending a lot of time together. Even Elle mentioned that Julia has not been at the house much lately. They must be growing really close if they are spending all of that time together. "So, what else is planned for today?" I ask Dante."You, in bed." He tells me humorlously."Oh yeah. For some reason you are not making that sound like a fun time." I admit."It will be. There will be movies, and popcorn. Maybe even some nice food. Or junk food. Whichever way you want to go." He tells me with a no nonsense look."Is that all? If so we might have to
All due to the lazy day of hanging out in our bedroom and watching movies all day, I am now ready to get up and back to work the next morning. After a rushed promise just to supervise and not actually use my magic, I am out the door and on my way to the witch's house.Elle must have been hard at work while I was down for the day because the outside of the house is looking way nicer than it was before. Somebody managed to use smooth stones on the entire outside of the house. The dome is still glass but there are now silver trimmings and designs all over the glass. It is tall enough that it can be seen from a distance with the sun glinting off of it."Nice to see you back. Did everything go okay the other day? You rushed out of here rather quickly." Rosa asks as I walk around the house to find her supervising a couple of witches along the side of the house."Yeah, just a baby being delivered. Some unforseen difficulties but everything is much better now. First pup to be born since I hav
As I find yet another argument breaking out between the wolf contractors and the witches, I have come to the conclusion that this might not have been the best idea. Maybe we should have hired humans? Then again, if we had we would not be able to explain any of the stuff that is going on around here. "Rosa, what is going on?" I ask exasperated."They are telling me that they are going to paint the cabinets in here. I thought that we were going to just use magic on them?" She says to me.Right, the painting. Everybody is all upset over some silly paint. This is getting exhausting. It will be a relief when this is all over and everybody can just get to training instead."I told them that I wanted to paint the cupboards. The wood is fantastic but it is going to fade over time. I want them painted but there are some things I am going to add over the paint. Everything that they are doing, I asked them to do." I tell her.She looks at me for a few minutes before spinning on her heel and mar
