Scarlett manages to remain quiet for most of the recap of my dream. There are a few times that she tries to interject but I just hold up a hand so she waits. It is much easier to get it all out at once than it is to have to keep restarting my rehash."So, you are telling me that you are going to be our Luna and take over the Coven? That is amazing! At least you know that you already have the skills for both positions." She says sounding excited."But I do not want to be in charge of the Coven. I would rather not have to deal with all of those witches at all. They have done nothing but hunt me and my family since I was born. Why would I want to be in their Coven?" I ask her.It feels strange asking it out loud even though everybody knew how I felt about it. Dante and Elle both know why I do not want to be in charge of the Coven. I know that it has been deemed necessary but that does not mean that I have to like it. I have not been in a Coven before but it seems like a place where you c
"So how was Scarlett when you stopped by to see her today?" Dante asks me when we finally meet back up for dinner."She was doing pretty well over all. Going a little stir crazy. Apparently since the doctor put her on bed rest and Quin is gone all of the time it is only adding to her stress." I inform him."I did not know that she was on bed rest. If I had then I would have given him some more time off. I will have to tell him tomorrow first thing. Is there anything else that she is stressed about?" He asks me worriedly."Just getting stuff around for the baby. She showed me the room and there is nothing in there that is ready for the baby to be born. She has not even been able to get it painted. It won't be too much longer and she will be up trying to get it all done no matter what the doctor says." I tell him.He thinks for a little while and I can tell that he is talking to some of the other pack members through their mind link. I continue to eat in silence. We have not yet brought
Getting back to reality is extremely difficult after the weekend that we had alone. Now, the need to get back into our routine and all of our training seems depressing. We have so much to accomplish and we have no idea how long we actually have to get it done. That is all up to the witches and whenever they decide to attack again. As I head to Scarlett's house before classes start, I cannot help but enjoy the wonderful day while planning out everything that I still have to get done for the day. The sun is shining brightly which will help when we head to the lake. Will the fish show up today? Even though Dante is afraid of the connection, I cannot help but feel as if it was there for me the last time. Scarlett calls me in sounding annoyed before I even manage to knock on the door. Uh oh, what is going on with her already? She is once again on the couch and looking even less excited than the last time I was here. What could have happened already that caused her mood to turn more sour?
"Hello again Morden, I did not expect to see you again so soon." I say with false friendliness."Aw why not? I was so looking forward to this meeting. It is about time that something goes my way for once when it comes to you." She sneers back. "Oh yeah, and what might that be?" I ask her."Just what you have been refusing to do the entire time that you have been living with this pack. You are going to come with me and stay with my Coven for a few days. It is time that you learn who, exactly, I am." She says victoriously."And just how do you expect to get me to agree to something like this?" I ask her."Do you want me to have one of my sisters go and grab your pregnant little friend in there? You might be able to take some of us out but I highly doubt that you can do that while protecting her. If you want to keep her safe, then you will come with us right now." She tells me matter-of-factly.If she is right then I really do not have much of a choice. I know that I can do everything i
They keep my sense dulled to where I cannot see where they are taking me until we finally pull to a stop. It feels like we have been driving for hours but with nothing to keep my mind occupied it might not have been anywhere near that long. Heck, they might have driven in circles for quite a while before we got here just to throw me off. When they finally pull to a stop, hands grab my and guide me out of the vehicle. I expected them to be rough but they are surprisingly gentle as they lead me on. I can smell pine trees and the air seems to be a bit thinner so I would expect that I am on a mountain of some sort. Maybe the ones that were by my old house but I am not sure without more information to go on.We come to a stop for a while and I can sense what seems to be some sort of arguement going on next to me. I cannot hear or see it but I can feel what seems to be a disagreement lingering in the air before I am escorted forward once more. I keep expecting to walk into a building and f
I start awake at the feeling of somebody approaching me. They got closer than I thought they would before I notice them. Still feigning sleep, I reach out with my senses and try to glean some information on who they actually are. Judging by the confident walk and the better than everyone attitude that I am getting from this person, it has to be Morden coming to visit me finally. She stops next to the cage, studying it closely. Tutting, she says, "You know that I can sense that you are awake right? You might as well give up the act now and get up."Guess I should have expected that. Still, I was hoping that I could learn something from her before she found out that I was already awake. I am going to do everything that I can to come out on top of each encounter that I have with her.Sitting up, I turn and look at her. The sun is just rising behind her which makes it a little harder to see her face. I am sure that she planned it that way but I will not even give her the satisfaction of
After a few hours of lounging in my new abode, the hunger pains finally begin creeping in. They brought me here in the afternoon yesterday and I have not eaten yet. Of course, I have ways of getting food without relying on them but I was sincerely hoping that somebody would have enough heart to bring me a meal.Walking up my stairs, I sigh as I reach the sunlight. It is a truly beautiful day outside right now which makes the boredom lesson slightly. I startle a little when I notice that I am not alone. Apparently, the earth did not wish to give me the warning that it so helpfully gave me earlier."Hello Laina." The woman says softly, stepping out of the shadows of a nearby tree.I incline my head to her the slightest amount and say, "Rosa."I watch her as she shifts uncomfortably in front of me. She does not seem like she was injured in any way or even forced here. Morden made it seem a while ago like she learned about Rosa but judging by what I see in front of me, it does not seem li
It has been almost a week since I arrived here. The first day both Morden and later Rosa visited me. Since then, I have had no visitors at all unless you can count a few birds. I have not been this lonely since I found the pack and my mate. The feeling is soul wrenching but I still manage to find ways to make it just a little easier. I set a routine that I follow everyday. I wake up as the sun comes up and begin doing what I remember from the brief period of yoga that I did. After the yoga, I go upstairs and gather some more food for breakfast. Each day the food varies in variety a small amount but each day I end up full. This is the only time of day that I gather food as I am always gifted with enough to last the entire day. After I eat, I begin to go over some of my magic lessons as my food settles. I only do this for about an hour before going back to my physical training. The first part of my training is solely cardio and weight training. I do not work with the practice dummy unt
