While talking with Elle has made me feel slightly better about my past and I understand her much better, I am still not sure that me being here is the best option for the pack. Even my own cousin might be leaving the pack to keep her pup safe. If she can leave then what is going to happen with the rest of the pack? Are they all going to start leaving as well?
Taking a deep breath, I walk over to Dante again. Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Elle heading off towards her house now. Tomorrow morning I will have to go and meet her for another lesson. Obviously a massage is not all that Dante had in mind when I handed him that oil. He apparently thought that after he massaged me he would be able to have his way with me. As I walk to Elle's new house I notice that while people are still smiling at me and welcoming me back they are also giving me a funny look after I pass them. What is this all about? For dinner Dante decides to make a taco bar with a few different proteins. There are steak, chicken and ground beef tacos for us all to choose from along with a variety of toppings. For some reason, I had expected more of an argument out of Scarlett so the fact that she does not argue much has me a little taken aback. Maybe now that she is thinking of a little one she realizes that she has to put her safety first for a while. Even though I have known for a few days now that Scarlett and Quin will be leaving the pack for a while, it still catches me off guard when the time finally comes just a few days later. Even though with my classes that I teach and the witch lessons that I take, I am completely booked at all times, I still managed to take her shopping before she leaves.As the closest relative still alive I take it upon myself to buy all kinds of baby items and gifts to decorate their new place. This way even when I am not there they can still think of me. Not knowing if the baby is a boy or girl really made shopping difficult but I somehow managed to find quite a few items that I would love to see for her child to grow up with.Overall, we spent every spare moment together leading up to them heading out. Morden struggles to fight me off but I caught her slightly off guard by landing on her the way that I did. She has a shield up that I have no idea how to get around but since she has not yet managed to regain her confidence I might have a chance of finding a way around it. Simonetta rushes towards me using wind to guide her speed. It is not enough to throw me off guard though and I shove a wall of dirt up in front of me. Each team splits up and gets ready to make their way through the obstacle course. They are all going to have to take turns trying to make it through safely. Each team has a designated amount of time before they get elminated. The one that makes it through the fastest and with the least amount of mistakes, will be the ones to win the competition. The course is very similar to the one that we did with the entire pack when we first started training. The one that really got the women moving faster as they fought to make good time through the course to beat the men. This one is just a little more geared towards children and not fully grown adults.Some of the obstacles are smaller to better accomodate their size, some things are closer together and they have even added some new obstacles that would have been difficult for the adults. It takes much longer than planned to get the babies ready for travel. I have never packed a diaper bag before but luckily Scarlett shows up to help me get them ready and squeal over the twins for a minute. The first night with the babies was quite a bit of a learning curve. Whenever we put them in their bassinets they just started to cry nonstop until we picked them up again. It took a couple of hours to find out that if we put them into the same bassinet they were able to sleep peacefully and not wake us up. By the time we managed learning that, I was beyond exhausted and ready to sleep. Chelsea comes running in once the babies start to cry for food. Her face is filled with excitement as she rushes over to me. Even though they are hungry, I allow her to hold and rock Caterine while I first feed Archer. I might get good enough to be able to feed them both at once in the future but for now feeding just one is tricky.
