Being able to sleep under the stars was amazing. I got used to sleeping under them when I was living on my own and had not realized how much I missed it. Waking up and seeing the sunrise through the window above me was just as amazing as sleeping under the stars. The amount of thought that went into this room has me taken aback. Maybe she knows me better than I realized she had all of these years. Maybe this is her showing that she actually cares about me since she comes off as so cold all of the time.
Elle is already awake and making some oatmeal and coffee for breakfast. It has been a while since I have had oatmeal since Dante always makes a more elaborate meal but it sounds pretty good today. In fact, when she sits it in front of me I find myself practically inhaling it. There are little bits of fruit and honey mixed into it making it absolutely incredible.

I know that Rosa had expected that I was going to be an extremely strong witch but hearing Elle say it was more surprising. Is she going to expect something from me the same way that Morden and even Rosa seemed to?I manage to find some leggings that aren't as comfortable as my normal leggings and throw one of the lighter dresses over it so that I can feel comfortable jogging in it. When Elle had warned me that she was going to be tough on me she was not kidding. As soon as I woke up she had me learning how to make breakfast using the elements. Some of it was simple, like getting water into the bowl. Other ones were much trickier. I was not to touch the spoon to stir the oatmeal and had to use wind to stir it instead. Seems much easier said than done because it took me forever to be able to get the spoon to stir the oatmeal enough. It took me almost an hour just to make oatmeal without all of the additives that she had used yesterday. I swear I even saw a twinkle of humor in her eyes at one point.After we got done eating she did take pity on me and let me use my hands to wash the dishes as long as I warmed the water up with fire. Fire is not something that I have ever attempted to summon before. Just the thought of not having control of the flame is terrifying to me. Now that I know what to expect at breakfast I do not take my time trying to figure out how to make the oatmeal. My only issue is still the stirring but the rest of the preparations went together so quickly that it did not bother me that it took quite a bit longer to stir. Maybe tomorrow I will feel confident enough to try to cut up some fruit using air to add it to the oatmeal.Elle just sits silently while I prepare both of our bowls of oatmeal. The first week of training just flies by. By the end of the week I have already come close to mastering my elements. Even though Elle has not said anything else on the matter I believe that she is surprised how much I have already learned. I have not been for a jog since the mishap with the witches but Elle has helped me learn how to shadow box with a figure made from air to keep myself in shape. I can even have the air push against me as I exercise the way weights would so I am not losing any of the muscle that I had gained while staying with my pack.Today we are going to start working on spells. Elle has also promised to start teaching me how to find spells and disable them before I learn how to do the spells. Apparently, learning how to disable them makes learning how to do them easier. Kind of like untying a knot."Are you ready to move past the basics?" Elle asks me."I thought that some of the elemental work was beyond the basic?" I say confus

"So, when you look at the spell that I put onto the plant to change its color how do you think you would change it back?" Elle asks me."Um, maybe I would try to convince it to change back?" I suggest."You could. But, then it would just be laying one spell on top of another. That will work but only temporarily and could leave the plant feeling confused. Try again." She says."Maybe I could remind it of the color that it actually is?" I say questioningly."Yes but how would go about doing so? Would you tell it everything was a lie or would you go back to the beginning?" She says.I think about it for a while before answering, "I would go all of the way back to the beginning of its creation. I would remind it of what it actually is and what it looks like. For the next couple of weeks we settle into a routine. When we wake up I start breakfast using only magic to cook it. Now that I have been practicing for quite a while I find myself trying to make it better each day so that it is not as boring. For the first half of the day we work on me undoing Elle's spells and learning how to cast the same spells.After we eat the salad that I prepare for lunch we begin working on potions. I learn how to gather and store ingredients. Elle has me prepare some potions that have a specific process to be followed as they are highly volatile.For dinner every night we have another meal that is minus meat. It varies each night but the one thing that never changes is the lack of meat. Pretty soon I might find myself hunting in wolf form just so that I can eat something higher in protein. I have somehow avoided asking why we never eat meat so far but I am not sure how much more of it I can take.As we eat a pasta dinner with al

Today is the day. For the first time since I came to start my training a couple of weeks ago I am going to get some meat to eat. I have been dreaming about eating meat almost all night. The fact that I have made it this long without attacking something is impressive if I do say so myself.Dante just chuckles every time I tell him of my meals again. I always ate my fruits and vegetables before and I was fairly careful of how I ate but I have never went this long without eating meat before. Just the thought of how long it has been makes me cringe. The only thing that has kept me going is the feeling that the plants give me when they offer up some food for us to eat.When I finally let myself climb out of bed I get dressed and head out to make our breakfast. I know that I get to hunt today but hunting on an empty stomach makes for sloppy mistakes so it will most likely be for either lunch or dinner instead. I have not had a good run in my wolf form since I got here.

After an uncomfortably long silence of me staring at Elle in complete shock, I finally manage to snap myself out of it. That admission was beyond unexpected. I had never thought that I would get that much out of her and especially not that quickly."I didn't mean what I said like that. It kind of just slipped out." I admit to her."That is because you have been thinking it for quite a while now. I knew that you felt that way about me but I have no idea how to change your mind about it because I understand how you got that idea. I have never been there. I never tried that hard to find you or to protect you until it was too late. I know that it is hard to believe me now but I will continue to try my hardest to protect you and your family from now on. In fact, if you will allow me, I will go back to your pack with you when you leave to continue your training and help you protect them. If you will allow me to then I will stay with you until the threat of the other witches
