Ellie had arrived shortly after James and Lorraine had arrived at Ma's place. They sat with his grandmother and reminisced on the past.

Ma told stories of how James was currently the opposite of what he was when he was young. How he would run around her backyard chasing after butterflies in pants.

They all laughed.

James was not that embarrassed with his childhood stories instead he was grateful his grandmother was keeping him and Lorraine occupied before Ellie would arrive.

"You know, James would not agree to sleep until he's had me read him a story. He was a lovely and sweet child then. He never liked being lively like David does, oh! My sweet David, you didn't bring me my boy, Jammy. I miss him." Ma had no intention of stopping. She continued her story to the extent of disclosing how James had gotten the scar on his chest.
