Chapter 34

The cool night air was punctuated by the sparkling stars that flickered amidst the dark clouds which cast a warmth all over.

There was serenity in the whizzing breeze that was trying its best to wake the sleeping leaves up. A breeze like this is nothing but lullaby to whatever it touches.

David poked his left hand outside through the window to feel the breeze. "Such a beautiful day to die."

David had just parked his car somewhere far away from the inn. He took a deep breath before gently breathing in and out, the crisp night air filled his lungs as he gazed around.

It was either going to be today or tomorrow, whenever it was it would be Abigail's last; this, David had promised himself.

He and the rest of the team members alighted from the car after David had made sure he explained the plan clearly once again, leaving out no single detail.

As usual, Kayla was to stay with the car. While Kyle, Zak and Joseph were to stick around and make sure nothing went the other way.
