They spent afternoons strategizing about future moves with discussions on pertinent topics, leaving evenings as short periods to unwind from constant vigilance by temporarily blocking out impending perilous situations.

"Deven, have you ever considered what life will look like after everything is finished?" Amora asked while sipping her coffee.

Deven sighed before responding, "It's always on my mind. However, at the moment I can't allow myself to ponder too much about what lies ahead. Our attention must remain fixated on today."
