CHAPTER HUNDRED FIFTY SIX

Roseline's POV

Flashback continued.

I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as I ran through the dark alleyways, my footsteps echoing against the damp concrete walls. Every fiber of my being screamed at me to keep going, to run as fast as I possibly could. My life depended on it. I had stumbled upon something dangerous, something that could cost me everything, and now I needed to reach Tyler and let him know.

Tyler was the only person I trusted in this treacherous city. He had always been there for me, a constant presence in my life when everything else seemed to crumble. When I finally found him, he promised to devise a plan that would ensure our safety and give us a chance to escape from the clutches of those who sought to harm us.

But as I approached Tyler, his expression told me that something was off. His eyes, once filled with warmth and kindness, now seemed murky and distant. There was a sadness in them, a heaviness that weighed upon his soul. I couldn't help but ask him
