Chapter 1

{FERNANDO COMPANY AMERICAN ^8AM^ }

Six different black-tinted cars arrive at the company at exactly 8 a.m. Four bodyguards rush out of one of the cars. Three of the bodyguards remain standing while one of them quickly opens the door to the boss's car.

Jack Fernando comes out of the car majestically. His blue suit was so well fitted, it looked like a second skin on him. His dazzling black shoe and his glasses complimented his look but not his gloomy face.

His secretary—Braina stepped out of the car after him.

As he walked towards his office, all the staff who had seen him arrived greeted him. 

"Good morning sir, a young man says with a bow

"Hope you are well, sir," another young chap greets him

"Lovely morning sir," a young lady muttered and smiled.

To their surprise, Jack does not respond to their greetings. He just kept on walking without regard for any of them.

He was looking moody and didn't have the usual cheerful appearance he always had. It was obvious Jack was having a bad day, he was angry and anxious.

On a good day, Jack smiles and waves back when he is being greeted. But today it was different.

His secretary scurried behind him, carrying a Macbook, notebook and a pen.

He was angry that his dad was forcing him to get married in a few weeks and at the same time anxious that he doesn't want anything to ruin the big surprise he has for Beatrice—his girlfriend.

Jack began asking Briana some questions, he seemed very concerned.

"Have you arranged for the cake?" Jack questioned me

"Yes sir, I have done that " Briana replied 

"What about the hotel reservations? 

"Yes sir"

"I told you to organize drinks, get my clothes……? What about those?" Jack continued to inquire without halting for a second.

He does not give her a chance to answer his questions before pushing more questions on her.

And Briana has no choice but to answer him. She knows her boss well. So she was careful not to piss him off even more.

When they reached the office. Jack yanks the door open aggressively. He sits down looking furious, he wasn't sure about how he was going to do this but nonetheless, he has to go through with it.

 He unknots his tie and unbuttons a few buttons in his shirt. He was finding it hard to focus.

Everyone who saw Jack today knew there was something wrong with Jack but only his secretary knew what exactly was making him feel this tense.

She stood silently, watching Jack and waiting for his next order.

"Briana" Jack calls her

"Sir" Briana replied

"Briana" Jack calls her for the second time

"Sir" 

"Briana, Braina, Braina" Jack repeated

"Sir," She replied, trembling and looking confused.

"Is anything wrong sir?" She asked 

He started by getting on his feet and walking towards her. "You can see that I am in a tight spot. I wouldn't want any mistakes. If this turns out to be a mess, you wouldn't like what I'll do to you. I am calling your name repeatedly because that is how I will repeatedly torment you. Do you understand me?" 

"Yes… sir. I understand you sir" She answered

"Good. I want everything to go as planned. If you fuck me up, you wouldn't like what will come afterwards " Jack warns her again

He walked towards her until he approached where she stood. He moved closer to her. She was now trembling, she looked pitiful because Briana was the one taking up all the heat from this problem.

She doesn't know what he is about to do now that he is close. Jack can be jovial when he wants to but the moment he becomes angry or tensed up, he is unpredictable.

Jack came so close to Briana, he was towering over her. He took Briana's hair in his hands. 

"Are you too busy to wash your hair, why is your hair looking oily and rough? Is this how you went around calling yourself my secretary looking like this? Unbelievable."

"I am sorry, I was so… late today I couldn't wash my hair, hence why… it's oily." Braina says stuttering 

"You better not show up at the event looking this untidy or that will fetch you its punishment'' Jack yelled 

The door opens suddenly and Edward, Jack's friend, enters and questions Jack's attitude.

"Jack stop, I could hear you yelling from outside the door. Haven't you been too harsh on her?" Edward said 

Jack releases Braina's hair and looks at Edward—his best friend and also his business partner. They both work in the company.

" Why do you address her harshly whenever you are angry? One can't even speak to a child like that. I don't think there will be any secretary who is willing to put up with this amount of stress besides Briana."

Jack cuts him off by interrupting him,

"What do you want, Edward? You are interrupting me. I am speaking with my secretary, not yours. I can't remember laying my hands on her. I think of you. This is yelling but to me, I am just trying to pass a point. And are you not supposed to be at a meeting this morning?"Jack said

"You are trying to keep me off your office dude, well don't won't happen. And so what if I have a meeting now? I came to see my friend this morning, just to see him yelling and scolding his secretary." Edward said trying not to laugh

"Edward you know keeping such a stern face with me doesn't work"

Edward burst out laughing. 

"Let the young lady go, Jack. You very well know you are an expert when it comes to keeping a stern face. And now that's what is written all over your face" Edward says as he watches Jack walk back to his seat.

"By the way, what's the matter with you, Jack?" Edward asks.

Briana keeps waiting to be dismissed from the office.

"So much is the matter, man," Jack said

"So much? Like what." Edward asked  

"As you already know, my dad isn't making it easy on me. Why would he give me just a few weeks to look for a woman to settle down with and now I am anxious and hoping everything turns out well"

"Mr husband to be. Why don't you trust us? We have told you everything is ready and you have nothing to worry about. So why worry yourself unnecessarily," Edward said

"And Briana, why didn't you inform your boss that everything is ready as discussed?" Edward asked

"I did," Briana said 

She was about to say something else until she met Jack's disapproving stare. She had to keep shut.

"Briana you can leave now" Jack finally says 

Jack leans forward speaking to Edward who was now sitting.

"Do you think she will accept my proposal, and do you think she will love the surprise?" Jack asks

"Come on man, she would love it. Beatrice has been your girl for five years. What reason does she have not to accept your proposal? It's quite obvious that since she loved you, that will be what she has been waiting for. Keep calm." Edward asks

"Then why do I feel so anxious," Jack asks

"It's because you haven't done this before" Edward replies

Jack was a bit calmer now that Edward assured him he didn't need to worry about anything.

{MARINA CLUB HOUSE, AMERICAN^8pm^ }

Jack arrives at the resort. His face was beaming with excitement. He was happy to see that everything was going as planned. The romantic music in the background was just as he wanted it. Soft and cool…

A few family and friends were here. He wanted it to be a surprise. It was organized as a small party but not everyone knew a proposal was taking place tonight.

"Hey, Jack. What time did you tell Beatrice to come over? It's 8:30 pm now." Edwards says

"Yeah, let me call her to find out if everything is okay. She was supposed to be here by 8:15 pm," Jack replies, He collects his phone from Briana.

Jack called severally but Beatrice wasn't picking up…

{AT BEATRICE NEW RICH BOYFRIEND'S HOUSE}

Beatrice's phone rang continuously,

"Who the fuck is calling you? This is like the hundredth time" Harrison said

Beatrice was having fun with her new boyfriend—Harrison. They were in the middle of having sex when the phone kept bugging them.

"Baby, don't worry about whoever it is. I'll attend to it later. let's finish up what we started..haha.." Beatrice said

And they continue with the sex. Beatrice keeps moaning hard as Harrison thrusts in and out of her.

"Give it to me harder," Beatrice moaned

The phone keeps vibrating nonstop.

After about 5 minutes of what she considered a good sexual activity. She gets up from the bed and walks naked to the table in the centre of the room to pick up her phone.

"You are so…sexy, Beatrice. The sex was great " Harrison said

She smiles softly as she picks up the phone,

"Hello baby" …. Beatrice said, Harrison leaves the bed and comes to where Beatrice stood, kissing her neck and grabbing her butt cheek from behind. 

Harrison withdrew from her when he heard the word Beatrice used.

She was romantically speaking to another man in his presence and Beatrice nudged him not to act displeased.

She kissed him on his lips and motioned him to sit on the bed. While she sat on his thighs and continued her call. 

He smiles at her and Briana continues with her phone call.

"Babe. I am sorry, I was asleep. Just saw your missed calls" 

"Finally, I was getting worried. You haven't gotten here yet, so I decide to call to find out if everything is okay'' Jack explained

"Sorry Babe, I am not feeling too well and I had to sleep for a bit "Beatrice replied 

"And you didn't call me to inform me in time? How are you feeling now? Did getting a little sleep make you rest a bit?"

"Yeah, I think I am much better now."

"I want to take you out today and I have already sent my driver to your place. He should be at your house now" Jack reveals

Beatrice stands up in shock 

"What! You mean now?!!"

"Yes now, Babe"

Harrison looked at Beatrice in amazement wondering what made her yell in shock.

"Get ready, Beatrice. Don't keep him waiting"

"Okay" Beatrice simply said 

"Alright stay safe babe, I love you, "Jack said

"Love you too," Beatrice said

And they hang up. Harrison begins to ask questions. He was mad that Beatrice didn't care about him and had no respect for him. Beatrice tells him that the man she just spoke with is her current boyfriend, Jack Fernando. She made Harrison understand that she just met Harrison and had to give up sometime before she could consider leaving Jack for him so that she didn't have to do it too soon.

Harrison was a cute guy and also a billionaire. So he was exactly the kind of guy who could compete with Jack for her attention.

"So where are you off to now?" Harrison asked 

"I want to quickly meet up with Jack" Beatrice replied 

"Are you leaving me now, I thought we are gonna spend this night together?" Harrison said

"Yes, but am sorry babe, I have already explained to you why I can't. Jack doesn't need to know I am seeing anyone else for now. Just give me a little time. Let me go and meet him, I promise I'll be back " Beatrice replied 

He moves closer to her and draws her closer to him for a kiss but Beatrice cuts him off

"Umm…no…when I come back, we would continue from where we stopped," Beatrice says

Beatrice dressed up quickly and tried to leave. Harrison gets hold of her arms and pulls her towards him.

"Do you think I can't take care of you the way he does? I am even wealthier than he is…I know Jack Fernando. He can't compete with me when it comes to influence and affluence " Harrison bragged

"I never said Jack was more than you are. I will end our relationship soon. So you have nothing to worry about. It's you I love." Beatrice replied 

"Just break up with this Jack guy fast. I can't wait to have you all to myself." Harrison said pulling her close to him

"You know I am a very jealous man" Harrison added

He began kissing her again, this time yanking her clothes off and began to put her in the mood for another intimate session. Despite her protest, Beatrice could not do anything but succumb to his pleasurable torture.

She was overpowered and Harrison was trying to pin her down intimately, preventing her from going to Jack.

He spreads her legs apart and he moves in and out of her with so much passion.

Beatrice enjoys her steamy sex with Harrison while Jack patiently awaits her arrival.
