James turned from the counter and headed towards her she couldn't stop herself from drooling after him. She found herself looking at him in a new way . He was every woman's dream man but not an idea type for marriage .

''Look else where , and get this thought away from your head , he has every woman wrapped around his finger and you not included,' she thought.

You probably used to getting this kind of attention . she said bluntly

''What ? he sounded surprised

Without thinking she said first thing that came to her head sounding jealous. ''The young blonde would love to be in the menu if you let her be included',

James smiled. "I know but she isn't my type.'

You dont like blonde ?

His eyes holding hers for long moment ,which made her feel uncomfortable . She hoped her jealousy wasnt obvious , shame clouding her vision . She didnt want to lose her job which meant the world to her . she needed her job as a distraction else she might loose it .

"Sorry ,'she said . ''It not of my business and i was crossing the line .'

Alex shrugged ''I am about to ask you a personal question .'

''Oh?

''You dont expect me not to be curious about what really transpired leading to the cause of the breakup .I brought you here so you can be free and open to talk from the office

Amelia sighed . ''There are no details .'she murmured

''So you caught him cheating ? with someone close to you.

''No . she said

''Then what did he do ?

Amelia knew she had to tell him , and he might sound weird or feel sorry for her knowing the full story. James would not stop till he knew what really happened .She knew he was a man that doesn't take No for an answer.

''He just didnt feel like home anymore and measure up as a husband material.'

''Ah '! Trying to understand the meaning of what she just told him. I rather suspected that his self centeredness was the main dish

''I knew he was self centered but didn't know how bad it was . He nags at every little thing and finds me always at fault and been the one to say sorry even when I'm not at fault .

"We were invited to a friend's party i didnt have a dress to wear and i told him about it .

It didnt go well when he bought an expensive game the same day i told him about needing a dress and he wanted me to wear the old one i have .

James brow lifted . ''He wanted you to wear a dress when he just got an expensive game?

''Yes ,' she admitted . He felt that we could just go late , and wearing the old dress and nobody would notice .

''Ah,' knowing how she felt . Amelia was gratified that her boss understood that his penny pinching suggestion and selfishness might have been a deal breaker .

"I dont like men who are mean , she explained . I promised my self never to be with someone who doesn't put me as his priority and also a scrooge.'

''I agree . But didn't you know he was disrespectful and tight with money when you started dating?

''He wasnt always like that . He used to take me out, concert and any places i wanted .

He gets me gift and shower me with flowers and gives me the best of everything .

"I knew him as a sweet person,He never showed his disrespectful side till recently. Thinking about it i still cant believe he would change so much .

"A man like him, certainly gets what he wants and would do anything even if its to pretend for a while .He would have had to do everything to impress a woman like you, which he succeeded . You were charmed by him and fell inlove with him , agreeing to live together before getting married. Which you were trying to see how it works before getting hitched .Once he succeeded , he stopped giving you the attention you wanted and started showing his true colors and intention . Luckily you were able to come out of it before becoming miserable in marriage .

"Am i correct ?

''Right ,' Amelia agreed . ''What do you mean by a woman like me ?

James grinned . ''It must have been unpleasant to find out that your prince charming was a scam . A stingy one . He knew you were not on his league , you were what he always imagined to be in looks , personality and smartness. He must have known when you first met that he had to double his A game when it comes to you, if he wanted to win the beautiful Amelia knott .But he couldnt keep it up and ended up giving up.

Amelia blushed greatly by his constant compliment , She didn't know what to believe . James was inclined to flattery no wonder women fall at his feet . He had always known how to be charming with women .He had once told her she looked magnificent the night they went for a dinner party . She had been wearing a new sequence dress that had looked well on her with her emerald eyes glittering.

She had been a sensation that night , having him at her side and all eyes had been on them.

''So what made you think you've had enough ? james question .' The dress issue or it was just an excuse ?

"I think i was blinded by love , i was able to see all his flaws but i didnt see it as a big deal and since i loved him , i hoped he could change.

"But the dress certainly brought things to light . I'd being unhappy for sometime . A worried . He suggested we lived together , and it was good at first since we were dating and marriage was included too . But it didnt go went because we started seeing too much of ourselves .

Not that i was complaining , but i saw a part of him i didnt know existed . It was obvious he wasnt the man i thought he was .He wasnt acting like the man i fell inlove with .He had become Lazy around the house and with me .We practically were living like roommate instead of as a couple. He doesn't tell me about his where about .

''Your sex life suffered'.

Amelia laughed .''What sex life ?

''You cant tell me you didnt have sex ,'James went on . ''He is a fool , what was he expecting when he was neglecting you in bed ?

She didn't want to think about sex with him , she couldnt remember the last time she had an orgasm. she had been able to bear the sex because she loved him and hoped he could not only make her crazy but it was always about him even when they talked about it .

Amelia sighed , thinking she couldnt imagine james neglecting any of his girlfriends in bed .The man has a body you couldn't get enough of , a very gorgeous body and a broad shoulders. she was hot just imagining him naked in bed .

Trying to bring herself out of it

Amelia snap out of it , he is your boss don't except anything out of this . he his just trying to make you feel better since you're on of his staff.

''He wasnt expecting my reaction . He was shocked at my nonchalant attitude at first. He started saying hurtful things to me , he knew I'd fallen out of love with him. Despite him not coming home for days and making me feel like a fool. He was filled with rage and accusing me of all sort of crazy things."

''Crazy things like what ?"

james would love to hear about what Antony has to say , he knew Amelia wasnt the kind of woman to cheat without been forced to . she has worked for him for awhile and she knew what kind of a person she is.

Amelia knew he was determined to hear the full truth behind the break up.

"Like i no longer wanted to be with him since working here "

''Working here?He must have a low self esteem

''That i no longer love him , and we grew apart because i was crazy and in love with someone else ".

''Someone else ? His gaze was on her and she couldnt help it .

she didn't want to tell him this and didnt want him looking at her weirdly or in the process they feel awkward . she loved her work relationship with him even if her body wants something else . she knew she wouldn't be able to cope without her job . she always ended up falling in love with the bad guys . She had to tell him all of it , he is the type that he doesn't take No for an answer . she'll rather be the brave one than end up been a fool .

''He said i was inlove with you .... As if I'd be stupid enough to do something like that ,' she quickly before james could jump into dangerous conclusion.
