Chapter 2

She sat in a cool and calm place along the roadside feeling lost and alone. A light rain started to fall. She screamed and cried at the same time, She cried until no more tears left. 

The thought of her getting married tomorrow filled her with dread. She remained under the rain and cried out loud letting the rain wash away her tears. 

"I thought Harry loved me, after everything I did for him, this is how he pays me back, how could he do this to me? I hate you, Harry, I hate you. She shouted Out loud.

Mr. Perry enters Anna's room to drop her wedding dress and to check on her. He dropped the dress on Anna's bed but could not find her in her room. He got worried and rushed downstairs to look for her. 

He was about to ask their cook if she had seen Anna when the front door creaked open. 

Anna entered, looking exhausted, her hair unkempt. She holds her shoes in each hand. As she looked at her dad. 

"Where have you been, I have been looking for you. Mr. Perry asked as he walked close to Anna and hugged her. 

"I just need some time to think, That's the reason I just took a long walk," she answered softly. 

"Alright, sweetheart. Tomorrow is your wedding, stop crying okay, go to your room l left your wedding dress there check it and let me know if you like it. Stop crying and put a smile on your face. You are going to be a billionaire's wife tomorrow." He said with a smile on his face. 

Anna wiped her tears and started walking upstairs, each step she took was heavy with exhaustion and sadness. 

Anna lay down on her bed with tears flowing down her cheeks.

Next day 

"Anna wakes up at 6:00 already. Her dad called out her name. 

"Anna, it morning already"

"Alright, Dad". She answered. 

After thinking throughout the night, she has decided to go ahead with the wedding. 

Her eyes were red from the tears she had cried all night. She watched her face trying to compose herself,  but the pain she was feeling in her heart was still raw and fresh. 

She came downstairs to meet her dad and saw a woman standing close to him. 

"She is the one that is going to get you ready for your wedding. Take her to your room so that she can get started". Mr. Perry said in a low voice. 

The lady followed Anna to her room, and she started her work. About 20 minutes later She was done with Anna's makeup. 

Anna wore her wedding dress, as they left the house and headed to the wedding halls. She kept looking at her phone hoping that Harry would call her and apologize. But her phone remains silent. 

She was marrying a ruthless billionaire-a man she knew nothing about. As she stood on the altar, she knew there was no going back, and there was nothing she could do to escape the wedding. 

Anna stood at the altar with tears streaming down her face as different though kept going through her mind 

The priest rings the bell, drawing her attention back to the present. 

Do you, Anna, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?" He asked. 

For some moment her mind was blank. She looked over at her dad. Who gave her a smile, a silent plea for her to say yes. 

She remembered her sweet moment with her mum. This is the only way she could save her mum. 

She took a deep breath as she turned to face Jackson, her husband-to-be. He looked at Anna with a small smile at the corner of his lips. And at that moment, she knew it was the beginning of her new life. 

"Yes", she answered with her voice barely above a whisper. 

Her husband grabbed her, pulling her close for a kiss. 

She closed her eyes, trying to ignore the pain she still felt in her heart. This was her new life. And she would have to find happiness in a marriage she never wanted. 

She settled into the car with Jackson on their way to his mansion. The car was filled with silence as Jackson held a bottle of alcohol in his hand. 

Anna was nervous in her seat. 

"Jackson suddenly turned to her, offering her a bottle of drink. "Do you care for some drinks?" He asked his voice low. 

"No, I don't drink alcoholic drinks. She stammered. 

His expression hardened. And he took the drink away. "You are not as beautiful as your dad describes". He said. 

Anna looked at him, her anger being to boil. "Then why didn't you cancel the wedding when you saw me?" She asked, 

Jackson took a sip of his drink, not looking at her as he turned on the music, offering no explanation. 

Anna walked into Jackson's mansion, Her mouth wide open at the luxury surrounding her. She couldn't believe this was going to be her new home now. 

She looked around at the sheer scale and the beauty of the structure around her. The glittering chandeliers, the intricate molding, and the towering marble columns were like nothing she had ever seen. 

Jackson called one of his maids, who took Anna by her hand and led her to her room. 

She sits on her bed, looking around her room. "Wow, this is so beau  tiful," she thought to herself. 

She was about to take her bath when her phone started ringing, she checked her phone and it was a call from Harry, she picked up the call.

"How dare you call me?. She asked in an angry tone. 

"Baby calm down okay, I am coming to your room right now. He said in a calm tone before he hung up the call. 

What does he mean, coming to my room 

Anna was so confused, she is finding it hard to understand what he said. She went to the bathroom to take a quick shower. 

She was about to remove her towel when the door to her room pushed open.
