“What in the hell are you doing in Rowan’s house?!” Amber screeched at me when I should have been asking her that instead. She had no right to be here.

She walked out of the elevator to look around and see that I had cooked and made this space mine in a way. “You came here uninvited, not me,” I replied coldly as she stared me down in disbelief. Her arms were crossed, and her face scrunched up in distaste.

With the way she was dressed fancy and sexy, wearing a mini black dress and blood-red lips, I knew she didn’t just come here on a whim; she had a plan.

If she planned to try to seduce Rowan without him knowing that I lived here, she was going to be very disappointed.

“As you can see, I was given a card when we were together,” she said, easing a card up to me to show her power. But I stepped forward and put my hands out.
