"Come on Leon! We need to leave now!" I yell at him as I hold my stomach at the door. He is running around the house making sure he has everything we need, not caring that we needed to leave for the hospital ten minutes ago, "I'm going to drive myself if you aren't at this door in five seconds!" I hear footsteps and a panting Leon reveals from around the corner.
"Okay we can go now," He breaths out and practically drags me to the car. I almost fall flat on my face but I regain my footing. I get into the car and he throws the bag into the back seat, "why is this so stressful?"
"Because it's a baby," I tell him with a giggle. He glares at me as he reverses out of the garage. "It's not even ours. It's your brother's."
"But we have to get there to watch Luca because my parents are in Italy right now and Andrea's don't live in New York," Leon says in a fast pace as he turns down the road.
"Yes, which is exactly why you shouldn't hav
"Leo," I giggle as he drags me up onto the stage in our back yard. There are two white smoke bombs on the table and two lighters next to it. That's right we found out we were having twins when I was nearly three months. It's still hard to wrap my head around. "Calm down," I say, "not everyone is ready. We still need to announce it." "They are right there Ana!" He smiles as he points to the smoke bombs. "Go to the mic and tell everybody we are going to announce it," I give in, letting go of his hand. He quickly goes to the mic and gets everyone's attention. "Hey everyone," he says into the mic, "we are going to reveal the genders now." Everyone claps as he comes back to the table. "Are you ready?" He asks me and I nod my head. We both light the lighters and put them to the wick of the smoke bombs. It reaches the bottom of the wick after a couple seconds and smoke starts to come out of them. "Boys!" I squeal as I hug Leon. He hug
I love November. The weather is cool, which means I get to wear my sweaters, and the colors are gorgeous. Plus Leon is getting me hot chocolate this morning and I'm excited. He gets me it every Tuesday and Thursday morning, which is also the days he stays home from work. Mom isn't letting me work and my assistant is in charge, seeing as my mom is out of the country for the time being. "Love, I'm back!" I hear Leon call from the bottom of the stairs. I roll out of bed, which takes a few minutes. My stomach is so freaking huge it looks like I've stuffed two watermelons under my shirt. I'm around five weeks from my due date and I'm so excited. "Give me a minute!" I shout as I get off my bed. My walk, is basically a waddle now that my stomach is so freaking big. Leo got me the most comfortable shoes that I ever worn because me feet look like sausages. Slowly making my way down the stairs, I put as much weight as I can on the hand rail. "Took you
--> Three weeks later "This is your home," Bianca coos as she sets down Alec's carrier in his room. I follow in right behind her carrying Octavian in his car seat, "I think you'll both love it here." I roll my eyes at my wife and she picks up Alec, me doing the same with Octavian. Alec had a rough first week but these past two weeks have been great. The doctors think he may be deaf in his right ear but they can't tell for sure yet. "Let's get them fed and ready for bed," I tell Bianca, "the doctor's said you need to get on a feeding schedule." "Ok dad," she jokes as she goes to the rocking chair. I kiss Octavian's head before giving him to Bianca. The nurses, back at the hospital, spent quite a bit of time teaching her how to breast feed the babies. They taught her how to feed them both as well which is a plus for me. "Can you go make me some hot chocolate?" Bianca asks once she is situated with both babi
Bianca's POV: "My little babies are one!" I squeal as I pick up Octavi from his play pen. He smiles at me but looks down to his brother right after. Leon scoops up Alec and the two boys smile at each other. "Don't squeal too loud," Leon reminds me, "Alec's hearing is really sensitive." I always forget, which makes me feel so sorry. His right ear has no hearing but his left does, it's just super sensitive. "Sorry buddy," I say to Alec and he starts to babble on, "I'm so glad the party is over." "So am I," Leon sighs in relief, "who knew two one year old parties could be so stressful." "Now we know what to expect next year," I tell him, "one more year until November 5. You two aren't allowed to age anymore." Alec giggles and starts going 'Tav'. "He said Tav! Leo! Say it again baby boy!" Leon switches the babies in our arms and I smile at my son, "Is Tav your brother? Yes he is!" "Tav T
"Mom!" I run to the living room, after I turned the stove off. I was trying to make pancakes for my children but how can I do that in peace? "What is it Selena?" I ask as I see her chasing her brothers around the living room. Selena Phyllis is thirteen years old. Her eldest brothers, Octavian and Alexander, love to pick on her. "They took my phone again mom!" She exclaims as she jumps over the couch to try and cut of Octavian. "Boys give it back," I say sternly and they look up at me. "We just wanna know who-" Alec starts "Drew is mom," Octavian finishes as he twirls the phone in his hand. I hold my hand out and raise an eyebrow at the two, "now. You two are going to be grounded from the car for two weeks and no leaving this house for any reason besides school." They both groan and hand me the phone. I give it to Selena who runs up to her room to escape her brothers. "You two are eighteen," I scold t
"Dinner is ready!" I yell to my kids who are all playing with the new puppy and kitten we got. It was a birthday gift for me, from Leo. My two eighteen year olds come in first, one carrying Nara on their back and the other carrying Selena. Miles comes in after them, the dog and cat chasing him. Leo really just wanted another dog after Max died a couple years ago. So he finally got the excuse to get one. I can't really be mad at him for it, they are so cute! "Smells delicious love," Leon smiles as he pecks my lip. "Thanks," I smile up at him, "I really wanted this dinner to be good." "I told you that I could've made it," Leon chuckles as the kids pile food on to their plates, miles helping Nara. "It is your birthday." "Then you can feed the animals for me," I reply and walk towards the table. "You already did!" Leon jokes back and I roll my eyes. "Momma?" Nara asks and I look down at her, "why can't T
Two years later "Is he really coming back home?" I ask Alec with a large smiling spreading across my face. "Not for long though," Alec tells me, "a couple weeks, a month at the most." "My baby boy is finally coming back home!" I squeal and hug Alec, so tight that he starts gasping for air. "Don't tell anyone else," he says, "I already told Dad but that is it. He wants it to be a surprise." I nod, my giddy smile never leaving my face. Octavian enlisted into the navy right out of high school. He started right at the beginning of August that year and came back home that Christmas. I haven't seen him since, it's been a long year, well a little more, it's May now. "Aly is going to be so excited!" I exclaim and run to the kitchen, "when is he coming home?" "I believe tomorrow," Alec says and I give him wide eyes, "he told me to tell you last minute. I'm following orders here." I roll my ey
—> Octavian's POV: I'm home a day later than planned. It's Saturday night and I haven't seen my family yet but there is something important I have to do. It's been a year and a half practically since I've seen anyone I loved in person. Alec knows I'm back but that's because I texted him, letting him know where I'll be. He understood and gave me the best of luck. I haven't had time to change out of my uniform. I was going to at least change into something where I won't get stared at but I don't care right now. My hands are a little sweaty, not quite sure how they'll react to seeing me after so long. When the doors open it squeaks and I cringe at the sound. I walk down the hall and open the next set of doors. A few people look at me as the see me enter but no one really pays attention. I look around the room to try and find the person I'm looking for and I get tackled in a hug. I'm startled at first but then I r
"Hey Nara," he mumbles with a boyish grin, one hand on the nape of his neck and the other in his leather jacket pocket. He was always up for riding his motorcycle, said the leather jackets were just a plus. "Will," I practically growl, "Why the hell are you here?" "I need to talk to you," he says and I go to shut the door. He stops it with his hand that was previously on his neck, "Please Nara. Just hear what I have to say." "Why should I do that?" I snap, "you never did for me." "I am going to apologize for everything Nara," he replies, "please just give me a chance." "You know I don't believe in second chances," I mutter, "it leads to nothing but trouble." "Believe me, I know," he says, "but I'm not asking you to take me back. Just to hear me out." "I have a party to get ready for," I mumble and walk away, starting my way to my room. I hear the door shut, hoping he left but my
"Nara I need help in the kitchen!" Mom exclaims and I get off of the couch. Mom and Dad decided they wanted to have a graduation party for me, saying they love how I got my business degree, I want to be an interior designer. Uncle Blake said that I can partner with his company once I get a solid start. I'm excited, Georgie is going to be working with me. She said she doesn't think she could handle the responsibility of owning a whole business but it willing to be a worker. I of course agreed, who wouldn't want their best friend working with them? "I thought I told you I didn't want a cake," I say as I walk into the kitchen. My mom has her hair tied back into a short ponytail and a black apron over her clothes. She has flour handprints all over it from patting her hands clean, "you do realize the party is in an hour right? You still need to get ready." "It's almost one already?" Mom asks shocked as she sets the spoon in the bowl, "shoot! Can you please fin
"I now introduce you all to the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Patten!" The priest announces and everyone cheers. I give Selena back her bouquet and she happily walks down the aisle with her husband. I follow behind her with Zeke, his best man. "I feel bad for you Nara," Zeke jokes as we continue to walk, "Ryan is officially your brother now." "I know," I fake groan, "my life get worse by the day." "Aunt Nara! Aunt Nara!" A squeal comes from behind us. I glance back to see my nephew, Drake. He's two and is the cutest little boy ever. He has his mom's fiery red hair and his dad's brown eyes. "Where's your Dad Drake?" I ask as he walks with us down the aisle. "Back der," he says and points behind us, "he is loud." "Believe me I know," I chuckle and we are at the end of the aisle. "I'm sorry Nara," Cara apologizes as she picks up her son, "he's been very energetic today." "It's
Three weeks later "Calm her curls Mom," I say as Ellie sits in front of my vanity. Mom grabs a bottle and starts to work on Ellie's hair. I go to my bathroom and start on my makeup. I already did my hair while Mom did Ellie's makeup. Ellie's Mom died when she was eight so she never really had a mother figure in her house, but whenever she came here my mom would treat Ellie as one of her own. "Your dresses are laid out in the guest room," Mom tells us as she leaves my room. I grab my phone and realize that we have to leave in ten minutes. I drag Ellie to the guest room and throw her dress at her. I slip on my dress and Ellie does as well. I slip on a pair of white platform heels and Ellie puts on a pair of silver pumps. Mom got each of us a new clutch, mine a dull red and Ellie's is silver with navy accents. "They are here to pick you up!" Mom calls and that's our cue to go downstairs. At the door my dad is talking wit
"Hows this dress?" Ellie asks as she twirls out of the changing room. I roll my eyes and and she raises her eyebrows waiting for a response. "I told you," I sigh, "you are trying way to hard, just find something you like. Or you can have my mom make you one." "I said I'm not having her make me one if I can't pay for it," she replies and pulls the end of the dress down, "I guess this dress is a little short." "You guess right," I reply, "now change back. We are going somewhere else." She knows not to question me because o won't give it. She heads back in and changes into her clothes, leaving the dress in the changing room. We go out to my car and I drive off. Ellie switches the radio station and Halo by Beyoncé comes on. We both smile before we start to scream the lyrics. I turn down the busy city street and wait through traffic, which sucks. "Selena I said no," Ellie groans as I pull in front of my mom's bu
"She was just gone?" Austin says and I nod, "ooh man. That sucks hard." A quick image flashes through my mind causing my to smirk but it quickly falls. "Believe me it does," I groan and lean back in my chair. "Mr. Bailey, I expect you to be quiet while I'm teaching," Professor Ulrik says. "Sorry Professor," I say and continue to draw circles on my notebook. I turn back to Austin and whisper, "girls are being annoying as fuck to me lately." "I know, first Jenna now Cara," he replies and glare at him, "sorry bro but she was like your first serious girlfriend." "Cause I thought she wasn't a hoe," I scoff, "looks can be deceiving, so can words." "That's why I'm not settling down yet," he smirks, "I'm finding out which girls are hoes are not. Perfect plan." "All while you are being a hoe," I chuckle but cover it with a cough as our Professor looks up. "That's it for class
This chapter gets very mature~~~ "Slow the fuck down," Austin says as he hits my head. "Shut the fuck up Austin," I groan and down another shot, tequila just like my mom. "Miles, man the fuck up," Austin practically demands as he forces me to stand. "You two," Fiona says sternly, "stop saying 'fuck' and come dance with me." Austin and Fiona are my two closest friends. I've known Austin since third grade and we met Fiona in high school. We've been pretty close since, we are even at the same college, NYU. I thought senior year was going to be pretty laid back but no, it's fucking April and I'm so fucked up in my head. I can't believe I'm letting this get to me. "Forget about her tonight Miles," Fiona smiles as she wraps her arm around mine, "there is a pretty red head over there." "Can't argue with that," I mutter as I glance at the red head who is swinging her hips to th
"Xavier! Stop running!" I yell as I chase after my son. He turned two last week and thinks he's in charge of everything now. He gets to tell Jaden and I when his bedtime is and when he thinks he should take a bath. He's also starting to say no to the clothes we try to change him into to. "Not hungry Daddy!" He squeals as he runs around the couch. "It's dinnertime bud," I tell him, "you don't want mommy upset because you won't eat her food." He stops running and looks at the doorway to the dining room. He glances at me before he sprints to the table and climbs up on to his booster seat. I roll my eyes as he smiles at his mom, who walks in with a bowl of spaghetti. "Alec, can you get the parmesan?" She asks as she sets the bowl on the table. I walk past her, kissing her cheek, before I get into the kitchen. I bring it back out and she smiles. "Thank you. Now sit so we can eat." I sit in my seat and take a plate for myself. After
Alec's POV: The last time I went to a club was six months ago. My friends try to drag me to every party they hear about but I stay at my place. Six months ago I met a girl at this club. Jaden Driggs. She was the most gorgeous girl I've ever seen. Long wavy light brown hair, bright green eyes, the greatest smile I've ever seen. I can't believe that I met her at a club. She looks like a girl who would never go out. Anyway, I can't stop thinking about her and it's fucking up my head. It isn't helping because finals are soon then I'm graduating college, then I'm getting ready to take over dad's business. Octavian is back, which helps. He's back for a whole year now, and it can be extended to two. Aly and him are getting married in a few weeks, June second. I know Octavian is ecstatic, especially since Aly made this choice. He figured they wouldn't get married until we were almost thirty, but here he is at twenty-two getting married.
