Renan Folder

She was there, standing before me, and I felt like the most powerless man alive. I couldn’t save her. She was Meridian, but at the same time, she wasn’t. She looked more like a demon than a wolf. She had rejected our origins.

But something wouldn’t leave my mind... Even though she probably didn’t remember us, she still wore the Moon Pendant—the symbol of our pack. How? Why? Could she remember and have chosen the other side?

For all these years, I waited for her. I waited for her heart to tell her that her home was here, to remind her of who she truly was. I swore to myself that the moment I saw her, I’d save her and bring her back home. And yet, I failed.

She stood there, right in front of me, but it was him she was protecting. Our enemy. That repulsive mage. She shielded him, standing between us. His dark, demonic eyes stared at me, daring me to strike, knowing Meridian would defend him.

Bastard, I thought, running a hand over my face.

I sat upright and let out a deep br

Meridian WaterThe meeting had been long, stretching throughout the day as the advisors debated new territories to be conquered, rebellions and uprisings of various creatures, and brought to light everything involving the eastern wing of the Kingdom of Umbra. When we finally finished, the Prince was invited to a banquet—like a royal tradition.Serving the Prince at the end of the meeting was akin to a peace treaty steeped in sin and lust. Once we got up to the room, our outfits were already laid out on the bed. I waited patiently for the prince to finish his bath, resisting the heated idea of joining him under the pretext that it would be faster. He emerged from the bathroom, and I had to take a thousand deep breaths to ignore the adrenaline surging through me at the sight of him dressed that way.The outfit was both elegant and sexy, highlighting his presence in a seductive manner while granting him his rightful place as royalty. It consisted of a dark-colored suit crafted from luxur

Meridian WaterHELLFIREI glided gracefully through the hall, following in the Prince’s footsteps with a captivating aura. As I greeted the nobles and servants present, I watched his expression—serious and impenetrable—taking in everything and everyone around him, until he finally settled into his armchair. While scanning the room, I felt lustful stares aimed my way, but I chose to ignore them. Jokes, off-color comments, and feeble attempts at flirting reached my ears in hushed tones, and I merely smiled discreetly and shook my head. I kept moving across the room, eventually positioning myself in the far corner, eyes fixed on the Prince. Our gazes locked—his, narrowed and watchful. Four naked women approached him, surrounding him with their dark, seductive presence. I suppressed a sigh of boredom, knowing full well I could deliver a far more unforgettable experience. While the women continued their performance, I discreetly picked up a glass filled with a liquid practically dripping w

Meridian WaterHIGH PRICEWe were back in the main hall, where the banquet was being served. Laughter, lively conversations, and the tempting aroma of delicious food filled the atmosphere. Everyone seemed caught up in a celebratory mood, but between the two of us, there was a palpable sexual tension hanging in the air.I did my best to appear focused on the other conversations around me, fulfilling my duty as his protector. Yet inside, I was burning. The image of him tangled up with those other women refused to leave my mind, setting my most private thoughts on fire. While jokes echoed and guests enjoyed the feast, our eyes would meet across the crowd. The game of seduction between us was as subtle as it was dangerous. He seemed to grasp the desire consuming me, and the look on his face toyed with that knowledge.Still, I kept my cool, masking the fireworks igniting within me. With every shared laugh and casual gesture, I feigned immunity to the electric charge that surrounded us.As

LET THE GAMES BEGIN – SWEENEYPrince Darlon Sweeney I don't know the exact moment I got so invested in playing this game, but now it feels like my life’s mission! When I first heard about my task, I felt pressured, wishing I could say no. But I couldn’t—my honor was on the line. Still, I never imagined it would be so damn satisfying to win over a woman.Having her eyes fixed on mine while I was fucking those whores gave me a kind of pleasure I’d never felt in my entire existence. I’ve always had everything I wanted, any woman I desired—didn’t matter what they were, I got them. But Meridian’s different. I want her. I crave her in a way I’ve never craved anyone else before. I want to show her what pleasure really is; I want her to burn in my hands while I’m going down on her like a man possessed. And I’m going to make it happen—’cause I always get what I want.“What do you want?” she asked, and I didn’t miss a beat before closing the space between us, pressing her body to mine.“You..

Meridian WaterBack in the Kingdom of Umbra, I finally felt that familiar comfort of being home once more. The return went down smoothly—totally different from the outbound trip and the ambush that still echoed in our thoughts. On the way, we kept it professional, even though our gazes crossed now and then, hinting at the sexual tension that still lingered between us.Arriving at the Kingdom, the relief was obvious. We walked the palace corridors, me trailing behind the Prince, and I could spot a subtle tension in his face. It got me curious, wondering what was going on in his head. There was a slight smell of suspicion in the air, but I couldn’t pinpoint its source. For a few seconds, something inside me stirred but quickly went back to sleep. As we neared the meeting hall, the nervousness on the Prince’s face became more apparent. Stepping inside, the nobles’ murmurs and chatter died away, like everyone was eager to see how our mission had gone. My heart pounded unevenly, even thoug

CHAOTICMeridian WaterWhen I shut the door behind me, I really should’ve hurried off and done what I’d been planning—get some rest. But I forced myself not to pry, even though every step I took away from that hall made something stir deep inside me. Then it happened… I took a couple steps backward, and that’s when I heard it.“Did you do what we agreed on?” the King asked, his voice laced with something like disdain.“It wasn’t that simple, Father,” the Prince replied, sounding tense, like he was doing something against his will.“How so? You mean you can’t handle something that easy?” the King asked, accusatory and dripping with sarcasm.“I’m just saying it’s gonna take more time,” the prince said. And then everything went quiet. Those words echoed in my mind, and I wanted to know what the hell they

DON’T DISAPPOINT MEPrince Darlon SweeneyWhen Meridian left and shut the doors, I turned to the King, who fixed me with a stern look and raised his voice.“Did you do what we agreed on?” he asked, and I could hear the triumphant note in his tone—it rubbed me the wrong way.“It wasn’t that straightforward, Father,” I replied, trying to mask my tension. When he phrased it like that, it felt like I existed solely to fulfill that one purpose.“What do you mean, you couldn’t pull off something so simple?” he asked in an accusing tone, though the irony and disdain in his voice were unmistakable.“I’m just saying it’ll take more time,” I said, avoiding his gaze.I could’ve told him everything was going according to plan, but something held me back. My father could be pretty manipulative when he wanted to be.“We’ve trained for this for years on end. You know every last detail of this mission. Meridian WaterThe sound of hooves echoed along the road as the carriage rocked us from side to side. We’d left the castle for an urgent audience in a nearby village that rebels had attacked earlier that morning. I was on high alert, eyeing every twist and turn. The Prince wore a closed-off expression, but I could feel his eyes studying me every second.“If you want, we can stop to rest, Your Majesty,” I said, something telling me it was time for a quick break.“Are you worried about me, or just trying to dodge this… tense atmosphere?” The prince raised an eyebrow with a sly little smirk.I took a deep breath. The tension between us was tangible, like a storm about to break. He didn’t seem to be hiding the fact that he was playing along—and deeply invested.“Your safety is my only priority,” I said, not bothering to hide the sarcasm in my voice. “If we stop, I can check out the surroundings and make sure everything’s safe for us to continue.”“Are you sure you’re not just looking for

39 - I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE ANYMORERenan FolderI sat in that clearing, unable to move, stuck replaying every detail of the training session with Meridian in my mind. Tonight was the Full Moon Gathering—a night where we all sat around the fire, listening to the stories of our ancestors. It was supposed to be a beautiful night, but I couldn’t focus on any of it. My mind was too full of intrusive thoughts. The clearing had been decorated, and it looked beautiful. The moon was already creeping into the space, and I used to find comfort in its light, but tonight, it felt more like a spotlight, exposing the parts of me I preferred to keep buried.People were starting to arrive, but I kept my distance, leaning against the same rock where I had once talked to Meridian before she was taken. Lauren appeared beside me, carrying a jar of flowers. She always had this lightness about her, as if nothing could really shake her, but her eyes told a different story.“So…” she started, setting t

When we finally arrived, he opened the door and stood at the entrance like a sentinel."Get in," he said, his voice mechanical, devoid of any emotion."Back to the prisoner quarters," I mocked."That’s what you are," he shot back, his eyes sparking with a fury that hadn’t been there before."How cute." I smirked. "Feels good, doesn’t it? I’d love to see all this power when I’m not vulnerable!" I crossed my arms as I stepped inside."If you were as good as you think, you wouldn’t be here," he replied, a cynical smile tugging at his lips. "Honestly, for someone with such a reputation, you were terrible.""Easy to say when I wasn’t in a position to fight. I’d love a match—just you and me," I challenged, masking how much his words stung."I’d love to end this ridiculous charade. But unfortunately, I can’t

37 – THAT SOUNDS... PATHETIC!Meridian WaterThe air around us was charged, electric, as I followed Renan down the narrow path. Every step he took was an annoying reminder that I was in enemy territory, under the escort of a man who seemed eager to put me in my place."Don't try to run," he said, not even bothering to look back at me. His voice was calm, but there was something about his tone that irritated me to my core."Oh, right, because I'd be dumb enough to try to escape unarmed in a forest full of wolves. Have you actually heard of my reputation?" I shot back, laced with sarcasm. He stopped abruptly, forcing me to halt before I could crash into his back. When he turned to face me, his expression was ice-cold."Yeah, I’ve heard plenty about the blood and chaos you’ve left behind. Wow, what a brilliant woman." His words dripped with sarcasm."Thanks," I said with a smirk. The muscle in his jaw twitched, and for a second, I thought he was either going to lunge at me or throw some

36 – NOTHING TO SAVEMeridian WaterThe air around me felt heavy, as if shadows weighed on my shoulders. Everything seemed too loud, too stifling. I felt trapped inside that room, with only the window offering a sliver of freedom. The crunching sound of dry leaves under boots echoed in my ears. Creatures wandered through the forest, their presence unsettling. Nothing about this place made me feel comfortable. I felt like an intruder—the damp earth’s scent, the distant murmurs of streams, and the occasional howls stirred a deep unease within me.The sound of the door opening pulled my attention, and there he was. I narrowed my eyes at him. What was he doing here?“Hey…” His voice was low, tinged with a kind of wistfulness, and his piercing blue eyes seemed to glow.I didn’t respond. He stopped a few steps away, his jaw clenched, hands shoved deep in his pockets—probably fists, I imagined. He looked as though he were trying to contain something boiling just beneath the surface. I sat on the edge of the bed, my hands resting on my knees, as I stared at the faint moonlight seeping through the window. Dark magic left marks on me—not visible to others but etched deep into my soul. A part of me resisted the shadows that lived within me. I felt like an intruder in my own body. Even as a renegade from the Kingdom of Umbra, I wasn’t a creature of darkness, and now my mind was at war with itself. The door creaked open, and I turned. A girl stood there, her eyes—like everyone else’s—carrying a mix of concern that I found puzzling. She held a cup of something warm, its herbal aroma wafting through the air.“I brought you something. Thought it might help you relax,” she said, setting the cup on the table beside the bed before sitting next to me, keeping a respectful distance.“I don’t want it,” I muttered, not l

The sunlight filtered through the forest leaves, but its warm glow offered no comfort.I shot up suddenly, throwing off the fur blanket that had been keeping me warm. My breathing was heavy, my heart racing. My body was screaming for something—something that wasn’t there. The palace. The prince. That was where I was supposed to be.“What did you do with my clothes?” I demanded, glancing down at the loose, floral dress I was wearing. My voice cut through the silence, cold and decisive.A young man sitting by the bedside stared at me. He was young, and there was something unfamiliar in his gaze.“These are your clothes, Mel,” he said, his tone carrying something sentimental. I scoffed, irritated. He stepped closer cautiously, concern etched across his face—concern I couldn’t comprehend.“No, these aren’t my clothes, and my name isn’t Mel,” I growled. “You’ve got me confuse

32 – The Plan - SweeneyPrince Darlon SweeneyThe silence in the room was oppressive, broken only by the echo of my own footsteps as I approached the throne. My father sat in his usual pose of authority, his black eyes fixed on me, as though trying to read every thought in my mind before I could speak it aloud.“Well, look who finally decided to show up...” he said without breaking eye contact. His voice was deep, laced with the kind of irony I’d come to know all too well. “Feeling better?”“I was summoned. Yes, I’m fine,” I replied curtly, unable to keep the disapproval out of my tone. The Voice of the Veil is a forbidden spell. For the person transported, the side effects include dizziness, weakness, and blindness. For the caster, it can lead to death—or worse, bind their soul to the magic, leaving them consumed by darkness.“Why do I hear reproach in your voice?” he asked, studying my face. “What is it you want to say?”“I wasn’t informed about this part of the plan,” I said, clasp

31 - The Voice of the VeilMeridian WaterThe shadows stretched across the forest as I walked in silence. We’d been summoned urgently due to an attack dangerously close to the palace.Since our last night together, the prince and I had grown closer, and he seemed so different from the man I first met. Within the castle, he was reserved and serious, every bit the diplomat. In his father’s presence, he became tense, shrouded in darkness. But when we were alone, everything changed—stolen kisses, caresses, intimacy. His face softened, his posture relaxed. But the onslaught of attacks had worsened, forcing us into constant missions, clearing the destruction left behind, and strategizing to anticipate the wolves’ next move. The prince walked beside me, but something about the night felt... off. My senses were picking up a scent that felt strangely familiar, tugging at the edges of my memory. It was earthy, like the forest after rain, mingled with the coolness of the night wind.“Do you smel
