Sorry this chapter came in a bit late but it was a bit hard writing Ares and Jax in one chapter since these are two opposite characters with different emotions. This was their first message to each other and I had to make it perfect. The spy in Ares pack keeps feeding Jax with more information giving him more leverage over Ares. The climax of this book is rising. I will try to update tomorrow to make up for Monday but please it is not a promise. Who do you think the spy is? And what do you think of Jax? Thankfully he doesn't know it is Alora yet in Ares’ pack, how long before the spy finds out who she is and tells Jax? And poor Alex, he already lost his mother now his grandparents. Let me know your thoughts in in the comments and see you all soon.
Alora. “Lana said I’ll find you here.” I heard Isabel say as I sat up from the couch. After Lana had left, I felt so alone in the house. Camilla and Carmen had gone to the mall and Raya was busy cleaning out a room for Alex while Lana went about her duties. It was starting to get hard being locked up here with nothing to do. Ares didn't even let me go even out of the estate doors as my encounter with him this morning had made me sad, his tone and his cold eyes reminded me of Jax even though I knew Ares would never hit me. I wasn’t in a much different situation from when I was Jax’s slave. I didn’t know what freedom was back then, so I never felt bored locked up in his home. I felt empty. But here, I had experienced the outside world and I wanted to be there. Always. “Are you ok?” Isabel asked as she looked around the room. “It’s weird being here, since I started working with the Alpha this room had always been locked. It’s funny how you were the reason he opened it.” She said
Ares. “Why do you want to be Alpha?” I asked Seth as he stalked down a rabbit that was a few feet away from us. His grey eyes turned to me sharply, raising his finger to his lips to silent me. “Shut up,” he said, looking at the rabbit that sniffed around and followed the scent of the carrots we had laid as bait for it. The rabbit was small, dark brown and a part of me was sad that it would fall into our trap and our stomachs later. But we were hungry, we hadn’t eaten for days except fruits and berries, and we were tired of it already. “But the Alpha is the strongest in the pack right?” I asked Seth as he rolled his eyes at me. It wasn’t difficult knowing who had power in a pack, and what positions they had. If Seth was a better teacher then I would have learnt faster, but he was mean and cold towards me. “Yes. And I want to be the strongest. I want to rule over everyone and my father said I would.” He told me, his eyes flashing with anger as he ducked behind the tree when the r
Alora. “I finally have you!” I heard a voice behind me as I stood in my bathroom in my towel, my red hair dripping wet as I stood in shock, staring at the face of the monster I had lived with for years. Jax stood at my bathroom door, he was wearing a dark suit, his shirt unbuttoned revealing tan skin and a series of tattoos running down his chest. His long legs closing the distance between us. He pushed his long black hair away from his face revealing an evil gleam in those green eyes that put the garden outside to shame. “H—how did you get in?” I asked, my heart thumping loudly in my chest as I took a step back even Jax grabbed me, pressing me against his chest as he smiled, his eyes fixed on my lips. “It was easy.” He drawled, his fingers circling my waist as he held me still when I tried to let go but Jax was powerful, he wasn’t the Alpha for nothing and I feared him. “Ares let me. He let me get to you.” He told me as he smiled when I froze. I shook my head, unable to proc
Alora. I was born on a moonless night, and that meant I had no wolf. According to the laws of my pack, anyone born on the moonless night was neither wolf nor human. And that child would be killed along with the parents. My parents being the selfish wolves made a pact with my Alpha that I would be given to him on my fifteenth birthday as a slave in exchange for their lives. The first ten years of my life weren't pleasant because I was a constant reminder of the mockery my parents faced every day and they never failed to show me how much they hated me. I was made to do hard labor and face abuse, and the pack didn't pity me either. I was an outcast, neither human nor wolf. So I was often treated as a nobody, insulted and looked down on and it didn't help that I was smaller than the average human form. I had no identity, no freedom and no peace. I worked hard daily from pleasing my parents and pleasing the pack. But I still found no favor in the sight of either of them. Often
Alora. Thump. Thump. Thump. The sound of heavy footsteps that sent vibrations on the floor I was currently kneeling on sent shivers down my spine. Each sound like the sound of beating war drums, it resonated in my ears as the hair on the back of my head stood erect. The sound of the powerful being, the Alpha that owned me making his way down the hall just outside our room. Those footsteps that I had grown accustomed to sent goosebumps flying over my skin. My heart thumped loudly in my chest, threatening to jump out any minute. It was dark outside and inside too, but I had grown accustomed to it. I scrambled from the kneeling position near the bed as the footsteps became louder and closer. The chains that connected to the one on my neck before joining with the wall pinning me to only a few centimeters rattled against my movement. My hands shook in fear as I pushed myself underneath the bed, shielding myself from the monster that was about to walk into the room. But even I k
Alora. I struggled once more as soon as Jax took off his clothing and I saw his big member fully erect and pointed at me as if it was telling me to stay still. Despite all Jax's disgusting features he was still handsome and his tan skin glittered under the moonlight, his wolf head tattoo was the only dark contrast to his skin and when he flexed his biceps it moved a little as if howling at me. "You know what happens next, so stop moving around. I'm too hungry to care." Jax said, his voice losing its usual tone overshadowed by his wolf as his red eyes shimmered brightly before he climbed the bed. He climbed above me, pinning me to the bed and I struggled to get away but he grabbed the chains on my neck and spun me back, cutting off the air that traveled down my lung as he slammed my back to the bed. Panic rose from within me as Jax smirked at me, revealing a row of pearly white teeth with his canine growing longer and it was only a matter of time before he sank them into my neck
Alora. I waited a few hours until I was certain Jax was fully asleep. On full moons like this while he was strongest, he was also weak. The power of the moon fueled and drained him completely and when he slept off like this it wasn't until afternoon before he woke up. But the risky part of it was that Jax was a very light sleeper and he had extremely good hearing. If a pin would drop he would be fully awake, eyes blazing and ready for attack. I glanced back at him, his eyes closed and his long lashes falling on his cheeks, there was no imperfection on Jax's face and I understood why she wolves wanted him but he had rejected everyone of them. I didn't know where Jax stood on having a mate but it was obvious he wasn't letting me go any time soon. And for that I hated him. He had caused me so much pain and misery and this was my only chance to get away from him. I wiggled under his arm and he growled before pulling me closer to him. I frowned as I looked outside, the moon was stil
Ares. "Is he ready to talk now?" I asked Victor, one of my most trusted warriors, as I looked around the basement boredly. It was past midnight and I was getting tired from the days job but the little fucker we had captured snooping around my borders wasn't willing to talk. Victor turned to me, he was a tall man almost my height but I towered over him, over everyone. He had short blonde hair and a deep scar running down the side of his face narrowly missing his cold grey eyes. He was my second right hand man after my Beta and after he had proven himself worthy to me, he had gained my trust and now I trusted him with my life. "No Alpha, he still refuses to talk." Victor said and I yawned, pulling myself away from the wall I was resting against as I approached the captive. It was a man who was around his late thirties, he was strapped to the chair and bloodied from all the beating he had endured. His left eye was swollen shut and his other eyes looked up at me in fear. That's
