MARGERY I was almost out of breath as I kept running through the woods. The loud howling and growling coming from behind me had my feet moving at a fast speed. He was going to catch me, I had to try to stay away from him.
ZAIRE “Hey, wake up sweetheart,” Mom whispered. I fluttered my eyes open and groaned as I snuggled closer to Connor, who was still asleep. The bite really got to him and it would take a while before he fully recovered. “Hi, Mom. What’s wrong?” I asked curiously as I slowly got out of the hospital bed, realizing it was already morning. We must have been really exhausted and lost track of time. “You have to come to the throne room,” she looked concerned and that had me worried. I followed her while asking myself what they needed me for. Mom was fidgeting with her fingers on our way there. BLAKE “You love me?” she asked. There was hope in her eyes.
ZAIRE I wanted to hug Margery and tell her it would be okay, but after what happened in the dungeon I doubt that’s the most appropriate thing at the moment.
CONNOR A week has gone by and Louve was feeling better according to Zaire. She was still upset at Alpha Jedrick, and even dinner nights were awkward. Her parents were finally able to return to their home since there haven't been any more rogue attacks, but we were still alert.
BLAKE I transported back to the spirit world, only to find my Father standing in front of the cloud with his arms folded on his chest and a scowl on his face. The rogues were holding Athena as she mouthed a ‘sorry’ under her breath.
