MARGERY
“Well, since Zaire didn’t accept to join us, why don’t we go with Leonard?” Ximena said as I looked at Zaire and Connor walking away.
ZAIRE The sound of the owls hooting and the paws of our wolves on the dirt were soothing. Louve and Amoux were enjoying themselves and we just let them be for a bit longer. Ruelle and Lowell were not far behind, and they were enjoying each other’s company as well. We reached a cliff and just sat there, admiring the horizon. The full moon was bright in the sky, and the stars were as beautiful as ever. Amoux stood straight, and let out a big, powerful howl to the moon, followed by the others. It felt so freeing, so… magical. As soon as they all stopped, Louve nuzzled her head against Amoux’s fur, showing how much she was loving his company. His blue eyes glowed as he let out a low growl before licking her snout playfully. He suddenly turned around, growling at the shadows. I wondered what had him feeling so uneasy? Then Lowell did the same, making Ruelle stand behind him. But not Louve, she was next to Amoux, ready to jump into action if needed. My wolf was no
CONNOR Alpha Jedrick and Luna Adira led us to the big dining hall and gestured for us to sit down on any chair. The table was so long, it probably fit over forty people at once. I pulled a chair for Zaire and with a sweet smile, she sat down before I helped her push the chair back in. She looked around and I could see how in awe she was of the place. The hall’s decor was more likely from the 18th century and it had its charm and also its mystery. There were paintings of different pack members, royals and warriors alike. They both sat down at the end of the table, and Luna Adira looked at Zaire with a soft gaze and a kind smile. “It makes us happy to have you here for dinner, Zaire. I’m sure you have a lot of questions for us,” she asked. Zaire tensed next to me as I sat down, grabbing her hand to squeeze it in reassurance. “It’s okay,” I whispered. She took a deep breath and smiled back at Luna Adira, taking a deep breath before she spoke. “The only thing I w
BLAKE “Father, I found him again like you said, but we have a problem. His human along with the others promised to protect him. It might be hard to bring him back home, especially without the witch that brought him out,” I said as I
MARGERY
ZAIRE Margery never made it back to school after she left the classroom. Ximena was not able to get anything out of her except that she needed fresh air, and I was concerned. It was lunch hour, I picked up my food tray and sat down on my usual spot in the cafeteria.
CONNOR Louve was inside the clinic, trying to heal from the attack earlier. Every nurse and doctor were at her disposal and even my mom offered to help them. I was outside of the room, pacing back and forth. The pack maids offered me food, but I had lost my appetite.
ZAIRE “Yes, you did it princess,” mom cheered as I walked for the first time. Dad recorded everything, and I could see myself, that tiny baby, clapping my hands. One minute, they turned their backs on me and I looked out the glass sliding door, a tall figure.
CONNOR As soon as she fell asleep, I slowly got out of the bed, careful not to wake her up. I walked out of the room an

CONNORThey were here, attacking from every angle. The wizard was very powerful and I just hoped the coven would be able to stop him.
ZAIRE“Mommy, who is that?” I asked mom as I walked into her hospital room and hopped on her bed. I was only seven years old when she had her baby.
MARGERYAlpha Adryan had called us to the pack house for a special training session. It made me happy to know Zaire and her family didn’t leave, and I have to thank Amoux for that.

ZAIRE“Is she okay?”“I don’t know, we have to wait until she wakes up.”
CONNORSchool day was a bit awkward, not to mention Margery being depressed about Blake being gone for a month. She has been either too quiet, or snapping at us about anything we would ask her.
MARGERY A month. Blake has been gone for a month, not telling me. When I woke up from my sleep, I found out he had disappeared after talking to Connor and Leonard, but they didn’t have any idea where he had gone off to.
BLAKEThis bastard is still alive. After trying to end them all, I couldn’t believe he was still here. Zaire saw him just as well as I did, but she got ahead and followed him while my job was to worry about Margery, who was being carried away by the warriors.“Hand her to me. I’m not letting any of you touc
