Romeo POV

After the little meet-cute with Stella, Paige was extra clingy. I hate it when girls feel insecure and get clingy and annoying, so that was Paige right now. Max, my wolf, was not making things easier for me, he peaked from now and then, only when Stella was present, like trying to figure something out, and honestly, as soon as my eyes laid on her, I knew there was something about her drawing me in.

We went into Paige's room, and when we stopped at the door, I knew immediately that the door across from Paige's was Stella's. I knew because she smelled like strawberry cheesecake, and Max was peeking out as soon as her scent hit my nose. With my enhanced Alpha hearing, I could catch the noise of water running, and I immediately knew she was taking a shower. My mind started running away with Stella naked just a wall away. Wait what? Why am I thinking that way about my future sister-in-law? I needed to get a grip. Unfortunately for me, “Romeo… Come in,” Paige pulled me back out from my thoughts, and we walked inside Paige's room.

Paige's room was so unappealing that I knew immediately I would have trouble sleeping, the wide variety of pinks and heavy ornaments made me dizzy. It was like a plaster, fabric, and carpet mushy cupcake. A big unicorn pooped glitter and sparkles all around this place. Her room at college was feminine and sophisticated. This was nauseous. When I entered her bathroom, the story was worse. I know she is a girl, but for fucks sake, have some taste and control the frills.

I cleaned my face, wondering if I had rushed things with her. Since I barely knew this side of her. I finished my business, and she wanted to get intimate, but unfortunately, her room was a cock blocker altogether. I yawned pretending I was tired and cuddled with her. She fell asleep immediately.

I was about to fall asleep when I heard a faint noise, a door opening and closing across the hall, and silent steps descending the staircase. Max was alert immediately. I mind-linked, “Max, what the hell? She is her sister!” I reprimanded and Max answered, “I don't know, there is something about her, we need to have some alone time with her, maybe I can figure it out.” He said, while I shook my head no to him, he finished “Well, don't do it, but good luck trying to sleep in cotton candyland.” He mocked me, and I was out of bed in a second. I checked and Paige was sound asleep, so I walked downstairs.

As soon as I reached the kitchen, I saw the fridge door open, someone peeking in, her ass sticking out from the door. Her pajama bottoms are a bit see-through by the fridge light. I felt my member twitch at the sight and immediately knew this meant trouble. A lot of it. Trying to control myself, I gulped down, and on instinct cleared my throat, making my presence noticed.

She stiffened, but she didn't turn around. I knew she was uncomfortable around me, and to my surprise, she mumbled “What are you doing here? I thought you were all going to sleep.” She said with a soft voice. I am sure it was not meant for me to hear, but with my Alpha senses, it was impossible to miss.

I couldn't help but laugh, she is so cute and, not to mention fucking sexy, she is so sexy that she doesn't even notice it. She turned her face just over her shoulder, trying to see me. I decided to tease her. “You are very noisy, Stella. I went to see who was around. I couldn't risk having a burglar coming inside the house, could I?” I said. Of course, I knew she was downstairs, and I came down on purpose, but she didn't have to know. “Well, I live here, you can go to your room.” Her soft voice said, and I could tell she was not comfortable around, and felt a bit of venom in her words.

“You don't seem happy.” I decided to expose her and tease her again. I guess I struck a sensitive chord because suddenly she turned around facing me full front, shit she is fucking sexy, and she is getting me hard. Her little top hugged all her curves, showing the roundness of her breasts, with the cold, her nipples showing. Her little shorts showed her long and toned legs, leaving so little to the imagination. She looked at me with anger. “How dare you? You don't know me? I love my...” She was saying, but I interrupted her rant, “You are right Stella, I don't know you, but I can clearly see you.” My eyes lusted over her delicious figure, Max pushing me towards her. I struggled to control Max. I have no idea if we are on the same page regarding our future and mate. Why is he acting this way? She quickly tried to cover herself and exit the kitchen, but I caught her back with my Alpha speed. “I was just joking Stella, I didn't mean to disrespect or scare you,” I said, trying to soften the situation, since she would soon be my sister-in-law.

Her beautiful sky-blue eyes locked with mine. Shit she has the most pure sight I have ever met. She nodded and said “Well, apology accepted. Now, if you don't mind, I would like to go and eat. I am starving.”

I knew she wanted me to go back and leave her alone, but she was just too cute, and I was enjoying this game of trying to get her attention. Max, on the other hand, was way too happy for my liking. When I touched her I didn't feel sparks, so she was not my mate, so I was more confused as to why Max was this stupidly happy around her. “So what are you having?” I said, releasing my grasp from her arm. I felt compelled to sniff my hand discreetly. I needed to know if the amazing scent I noticed when I entered the house was hers. Yeah, the amazing scent was hers.

Paige's scent was citric, like oranges and pomegranate. Her scent was nice and refreshing; appealing even. But Stella's was intoxicating. I walked towards the kitchen, Stella was like a magnet, I just felt compelled to know more about her. While walking towards the kitchen, I checked with Max. “Max, what do you think?” I said, and Max answered, “I have no idea. I can't say she is our mate, but I can't say she isn't. I am trying to contact her wolf. I am not getting any responses. You know she is a she-wolf, but her wolf is missing.” Max said, whimpering in my head. Well, that was weird.

“I don't know, some leftovers” She answered my question and pulled me back for a moment. “Mind if I keep you company? Aside from being your future Supreme Alpha, I would also like to be your friend.” I wanted her to feel comfortable around me. I wanted to see her happy and smiling at me, but I didn't want to push her. Her answer startled me, she immediately said, “Why?”. Honestly, I didn't know what to say. Why do I want to be close to her? I have no idea. Why do I feel attracted to her? That question is eating me alive. Why am I offering her my friendship instead of pulling her to me and kissing her to find out what the hell is happening? It´s beyond me.

“I already told you, you are part of my family. Every werewolf is," I tried to play it cool, but I also avoided telling her that her sister was my chosen mate. She scoffed. “Sure...” She said with lots of sarcasm, in a parallel world anyone who dared talk to me that way would be beheaded instantly. Max never tolerated disrespect, but with Stella, he was completely different, he was tamed.

She was peeking at the fridge again when she started swaying her hips and doing a little victory dance. I couldn't move my eyes out of her body. “Yei, chocolate cake!” She said, turning towards me with a big chunk of cake from the fridge.

“Want some?” She offered with a smile. I was feeling her loosening up around me, feeling more confident and secure around me, and to my pleasure, she suddenly stopped caring about being half-dressed in front of me. I shook my head no. I like chocolate, but one piece is enough for me, it would have been a different story if it was cheesecake. “No, thanks, I already had some earlier. Besides, my favorite cake is not chocolate, it is strawberry cheesecake.” I said, and then she turned around, and her movements around the kitchen were like a well-choreographed dance. She pulled out two plates, two forks, and one knife. Then she went to a cupboard and took two glasses. She settled everything in the kitchen bar. I was sitting on a stool by it, following her with my eyes. I honestly thought I had been clear about not wanting a chocolate cake. I have no idea why she was setting a plate for me. She noticed my confusion and walked to the fridge pulling out an amazing-looking strawberry cheesecake.

My mouth watered instantly. I honestly didn't know if it was because of the amazing dessert or the sight of her holding the dessert. Yeah, she is trouble. I thought I had everything figured out, but unfortunately for me, she is making me feel things I have never felt before. She is the first she-wolf who treats me like a normal wolf, not as a future Supreme Alpha. She jokes, scoffs and even rolls her eyes at me. I find that quite appealing and refreshing. Max agrees with me, she is unique.

“Wow, it looks delicious.” I said my mouth was watering, she just smiled at me, then she said “Wait until you try it.” She cut a big piece and plated it in front of me. I took the fork and took a mouthful of the amazing dessert. The texture and flavor were almost orgasmic. Embarrassingly, I moaned. It was that delicious. “This is the best cheesecake I have ever had. Where did you buy it?” I said and suddenly she blushed. Oh! For fucks sake, I wanted to make her blush more often. “I didn't,” she answered. Wait, did she bake this? Are you fucking kidding me? I could live my whole life on this amazing cheesecake.

She fixed a piece of chocolate cake for her and poured a couple of glasses of cold milk. Again, how does she know that ice-cold plain milk is my absolute favorite? Maximus was dancing around with a big grin. I had to reprimand him. “Stop it you fool, she is not our fated mate, and we chose her sister. That is impossible.”

I decided to make small talk, trying to get to know more about her interests. She looks younger than Paige, so she is definitely in college. I asked a simple question, “So are you in college?” “No, I am not,” she responded in an instant. I felt compelled to know more, so I blurted out “Why?”. I saw her taking a minute to figure out what to answer, then bluntly said “Because my parents didn't think it was worth sending through college the weakling and wolf-less daughter of Beta Sebastian” " she said, leaving me with my mouth hanging open. Wait what? Wolf-less?

She shrugged her shoulders and stood up quickly, setting her plate at the sink to leave the kitchen. The clock on the wall stroked midnight and then again she mumbled to herself, “Well, I guess my birthday is over.”

Wait a minute, are they serious? Did they dismiss her birthday altogether? What is wrong with these people? I can't believe Paige would do that to her own sister. How can Nadia and Sebastian treat her like shit?. Max whimpered in my head, and I hated that he reacted towards her as if she were something to us. She turned towards me and by the expression on my face, she figured out I had heard her.

I stopped her again, I needed to say something, this was not right. “Hey, Stella. I don't know what is happening to your family, but I want to offer my honest friendship.” I winked at her, trying to be friendly, but I immediately knew it came out creepy. She locked eyes with me and I immediately had a moment appreciating her beauty, until a screechy voice broke it. “So a little party without me?” Paige's high-pitched annoyed voice sounded all over the place. She quickly released her arm from my grip, shrugged her shoulders towards Paige, and sweetly said “I have to go.” She walked away, lowering her head.

I decided to inquire a bit more about Stella. ”So Paige, when is your sister's birthday?” I asked, hoping that maybe she had forgotten with all the excitement about her announcement. She coldly replied “Oh, she turned 21 today, well yesterday”. She took my hand and pulled me towards her room. “Oh, baby, you need to stop the midnight snacks, you know you could get fat before our wedding, and we don't want that.” She said, patting my perfectly toned abs. Oh Goddess, I was not expecting this 180-degree transformation from Paige, and I didn´t like it one bit.

Stella POVToday is the Warfare Challenge. As usual, I am on the same team as Rosa and Pete. They are the only ones in my pack who like me, so they usually pick me for their team. My ankle and wrist are far from healed, but I can manage. The whole challenge consisted of going around a battlefield, several teams competing simultaneously. We needed to plan our strategy, and we needed to conquer and retrieve a flag that was placed on top of the mountain. Sounds simple, but having us going at each other, human and wolf form, having teams with powerful wolves that had heightened senses, and the rule that everything goes, but killing, made this challenge dangerous. We were assigned team leaders, experienced wolves, that would help us through the challenge. Nathan, Rose's mate, was appointed our leader. Nathan happens to be older than us, and he is the best warrior the Royal Pack has. I guess having him around would be good. Each team had ten participants, plus the team leader, and the whole

Romeo POVWe were ready for the Warfare Challenge, so I stationed my special ops team to guard the flag. The flag was right in front of an old shack where we installed cameras and equipment. That was our station. We had the perimeter secured, and we were ready to move in a surprise attack on the upcoming teams. I also had cameras installed down the whole mountain to provide surveillance on the whole challenge.I was surprised to see Stella's team making it so far down the furthest route. I saw how Nathan was moving with the half-team in human form and half in wolf. That is very smart. That way, they have wolf force and senses, combined with weaponry. I saw how the wolves picked up the other team down that route. It was the CrescentMoon team. Tony was leading that team. I saw all the Silvercrown wolves gather on one side and I saw Stella breaking apart from the group leading the one on foot. I could tell Nathan would go for a surprise ambush, and the success of it depends on the locatio

Stella POVI am so confused about what happened, and why I fainted. Paige's weird explanation doesn't make sense, and there is also the whole thing about me hearing voices in my head. The message was clear, as far as I understood, we were Elemental, and we were meant to be with Romeo.I was lying on the hospital bed, laughing at the whole ordeal. Maybe the drugs administered by the medical staff made me go crazy for a while, because for me to be an Elemental, I should have a wolf, and my wolf has been MIA for forever. Also, Romeo is so annoying that I would never see myself with someone like him. Yeah, those were the drugs talking in my head. That is the most feasible explanation, and I am going to go with that…Soon a knock on the door, brought me back to the present, “Come in…” I said, and the door opened revealing a concerned-looking Nathan. “Hey Nathan, How are you?” I casually asked and he shook his head. “You are one lucky girl, Stella… I am a bit disappointed, but I will get ove

Stella POVI was waiting for my discharge papers at the Royal Pack Hospital when I got a phone call on my cell phone. “Hey Mom, How are you?” I asked, and she sounded concerned.“What the hell is going on? I just heard that you decided to stay at the Royal Pack and agreed to become part of a Special Ops team. Are you insane? You are wolf-less!” She yelled at me. I could understand her concern for my well-being, but her words were harsh, and the way she said them was unnecessarily aggressive. They hurt. After all, she is my mother. The one person who should have accepted me unconditionally.“Look, Mom, I know what I am, and am aware of what I am capable of. I would take the opportunity if Nathan asks me to join his team. I hate to feel weak and helpless, just doing meaningless house chores, like an Omega, just because I can't shift into my wolf. I know I am capable of more, Mom!” I said

So, to keep my sanity, I was certain that Max would be nagging the whole time, and decided to place her in the room next to my suite. I got a mind-link from the hospital saying that she was ready to be discharged, and per my request, they were waiting for orders.”I will be right there…” I said.

I was also curious as to why I was in bed since the last thing I remember was watching a movie with Romeo.I quickly jumped into the shower and wore a sports bra, tank top, leggings, and training shoes. I pulled my long dark ashy blond hair into a ponytail. I was ready to go. I wondered if Romeo was still sleeping. He must be since he is the future Supreme Alpha. He does lots of office work.I wondered if I could fix some coffee to wake up, but since the kitchen nearby was his private kitchen, I refrained from using it.
