Chapter 46 - Breaking the Curse

Stella POV

I opened my eyes and realized that I was lying in bed naked, strong arms holding me, and a wall of skin, muscles, and warmth engulfing me. His scent, fresh forest, and rain invaded my senses. I took a deep breath and a silly smile showed on my face, his phone rang announcing that he got a message, he moved away from my body and I felt a deep emptiness in my soul.

Soon, I moved and wrapped myself in his body, placing my head on his shoulder. I could stay like this forever, but I know soon we will be heading back. After all, he is the new Supreme Alpha and has a ton of responsibilities. I have no idea what he is still doing here with me in bed, but I love the fact that he stayed with me until I woke up. I traced his muscles, again, my fingers making contact with his soft skin. I was expecting tingles or sparks, but it wasn't happening. Maybe, after all, he is not my fated mate, because even after mating, I don't feel the mate bond.<
