“You’re distracted.” Jamie looked up from the ground to Rafa’s accusing voice.

Feigning nonchalance, he kept his gaze steady and said, “What do you want?”

“It’s the borders.” He said, pushing a piece of paper toward him. Jamie caught it on the other end of the table and quickly scanned the text on it. “There’s some trouble.”

Jamie read through the text with a frown on his face. It was a letter from one of the men posted in the boundary, Nate was his name. He was part of the army that takes care of the security of the nation, ensuring that no rogue wolves or foreign invaders slip through the borders. There have been no active wars in the past few years, thanks to their carefully planned relations with the neighboring packs.
