100. A chance

Emma could hear her own beat as she contemplated what Frieda just told her. Her plan wasn’t flawless, there were way too many risks involved; the both of them could get killed within a minute of this failing, but yet, she believed it was worth giving a shot. She could possibly escape from these evil men for once and never have to come back. From what Frieda told her, she would be set free too.

Emma left a sigh of exasperation as she looked at the iron bars of the cell. Frieda assured her that it was recently built and had a faulty foundation holding it together. Once she shifted to her wolf, it wouldn’t be so hard to break it open. After that, she was instructed to head toward Jamie’s room, where there was another path leading to the outside of the house, taking which the two of them could head into the forest.

“I’m going to head upstairs, Emma.” She said, "As soon as I’m out of the cell, you do what I told you, alright?”
