“Oh my goodness, Charlotte!”and just like that, her hurried footsteps towards me filled the air while I mentally prepared myself to get what I wanted from her. I let my eyes wet with tears as she gently took my hands, her touch soft and comforting like she could understand it all. She could clearly see me… and even if it wasn’t part of the plan, I hugged her instantly.
