Human Remains In This Cave?

Here is what happened last time on The Werewolf’s Superiority

I start cleaning the doorway to see more of the details on the door. Everyone is standing around to look at the discovery we made. We are having it photographed and video recorded. I figure how to open the door, and we send in the drone to see what is behind the door. We look but see the round room is empty, but there is some writing on the walls. We send the drone back out, and we start walking in. We take some floodlights with us in to see a bit more clearly.

We walk into the entrance of the round room. Both of us stand there in amazement at the detail of the drawings on the wall. In complete awe of the level of detail of the sketchings, I say to Roman;

"The markings on the walls must have taken months, even years to have complete all of it. The details are so detailed."

He says astounded;

"I know what you mean. And look at how many drawings these people did. Now I wonder how long it took them to finish every last one."

I light around the room and see that it is empty. I take out my radio and call the team;

"Good news, everyone. It is all clear. Send in the photographer and videographer, please. We need this detailed and documented. And please send in some more lights, as one is not enough."

"Rodger, Dr. Andrews."

I walk around with my flashlight and see that there seems to be a hidden section behind a wall. I peek around and get the scare of my life. I see a pile of human bones and skulls. The skull is placed in such a weird location, that it seems like it is staring at me. Roman shines his flashlight over to me and asks;

"What is wrong, Dr. Andrews?"

After catching my breath, I say;

"Oh, nothing much. Just human remains behind this wall."

Roman asks, confused;

"What? Why would there be human remains in this cave?”

"I do not know. Maybe people got sealed in here for some reason. I think the answers could be in the drawing on the walls. We will find the answers we are looking for."

The photographer and videographer walk-in are amazed. I tell the two of them;

"I want every part of this place photographed and videoed. But do not touch anything until we have found out more about why this cave exists. Understand?"

They both keep starring at the walls, the roof, and the floor. I scream at them and ask them again;

"HEY! DID YOU HEAR ME?"

An echo runs through the cave. I ask them again;

"Do I have your attention now? Do not touch anything, understand?"

They both look at me and nod. Roman sets up the lights, and I start plugging them in so that they can begin our work. I point to the two standing with camera's in their hands and say to Roman;

"Do you see these two guys? They have a job to do here. I do not want them to touch anything, only take photos and videos. That is now your job. Okay?"

"Yes, Dr. Andrews."

I turn and walk outside. Dr. Cloe Addison walks towards me and excitedly asks me;

"So, what did you see? What is in there?"

Curiously, I ask her;

"You are a doctor of what exactly?"

"I am an Epidemiologist."

My shoulders drop upon hearing her answer. I scratch my head and ask;

"What the hell are you doing with us while we are digging for bones of dinosaurs?"

"That is what I was trying to tell you. The local government agreed that I come with you so that if you find human remains. I can collect DNA samples and take them back to them. It seems that the tribe that used to live in these mountains was immune to certain diseases. So, the people back home want to know why. So, that is why I am here."

I cannot believe what my ears are hearing, but I accept that she is here. I tell her;

"There are some human remains in there. You will get your chance to go in and look at the remains and runs your tests. We first have to document everything, and then only can you go in."

She smiles and says;

"Great. I am looking forward to it. Can I go and look what the bones look like?"

I shake my head and say;

"I told you that you are going to get a chance to go in there. Let the team inside finish up first, and then you can go in. I do not want anything touched in that place if it has not been photographed or videoed."

It looks like she is listening but not responding to what I am saying. I am not going to take chances like the last time. I turn and walk away from her. I take out my radio and call Ryan the security;

"Ryan, come in." I hear some static noise over the speaker for a few seconds, and then I hear;

"Yes, sir. What can I help you with?"

"I need you to come up the mountain. We have discovered something important, and I need some security here to make sure no one enters the place unless I give them the go-ahead, over."

"Rodger that. I will be there in a few minutes myself."

I put the radio away and walk back to the entrance and head straight into the cave. As I come to the circular room, I ask Ethan, the photographer;

"And? How are things coming along?"

"I will be taking photos for years if I want to get every detail."

I smile sarcastically and say;

"You have one hour."

He looks at me, shocked. He asks me;

"What? I can not do it?"

I tell him;

"Stop arguing and start taking photos. I am going to try and see if you have a reply to your email. I need to find out if Yasmin recognized the text. Is that okay?"

"Yes. That is fine. My laptop is on one of the tables."

I walk out and see that Ryan is standing in front of the entrance. I tell him;

"I have three guys in there documenting every part of this cave. Our Dr. Addison wants to get in there and bother with the human remains in there. I told her that she is not allowed to go in. But I can see that she is insistent. She does not step on foot in this cave unless I have given her the said so. Okay?"

"I understand, Dr. Andrews."

I put my hand on his shoulder and say;

"Thank you, Ryan."

I walk to the first table and see the laptop there. I take the laptop from the table and walk a little closer to camp to get a signal. I check the emails hoping that something will come through. But nothing is happening. I take out my satellite phone and call her. I hear she answers slowly;

"Yasmin, hello."

"Hey, I am so glad to have gotten hold of you. Where have you been?"

"Who is this exactly?"

"Dr. Andrews. Did you get the email I sent you earlier?"

"What email? It is two in the morning."

"Oh. That makes sense why you did not reply to our email."

"What is so important that it cannot wait until tomorrow?"

"We found a cave with a door that had a locking mechanism. It is ancient, and there are human remains inside, and you should see the writings on the walls. It is amazing."

It is like I can hear her waking up as I start telling her the story of what we found. She says;

"I am on the first plane out of here. See you in two days."

She ends the call. I call her back and say;

"Wait, please check your emails first and let me know if you recognize the text and if you can decipher it for me before you come. I need to know what is written on that door, please."

"Okay. I will look at it and reply to your email."

"Thank you. See you in two days."

I end the call with Yasmin. I walk back up the mountain. I see by now, the entire team is up there and has set up a few tents. The team is busy running language checks on the photos to see if we can get a match. As Ethan takes the pictures inside the cave, the team starts analyzing them and cataloging them. I hear my radio going off;

"Dr. Andrews?"

"Dr. Andrews, here. What is up?"

"Could you come here, please?"

"Why? Is something wrong?"

"I think you need to come in and see this for yourself."

"Okay. On my way, over."

I run into the cave. I get to Roman and ask;

"Okay. I am here. What is going on?"

He points to Ethan and says;

"Show him what you found."

"Show me what? What am I looking for?"

I walk over to Ethan. He points to a section on the wall and says;

"What does that look like to you, Dr. Andrews?"

I look at the image. I tell the three standing around;

"Well. This part looks like the entrance of the cave. Now, this section looks like the people are inside while the rest are busy sealing the door."

Ethan says;

"What do you make of this part?"

"It looks like this room, where they are busy painting or coloring the walls."

"No, not that section. I am talking about this."

"Well, it is this room. But it seems that the ground floor opens and that looks like a tomb of some sort. That is interesting."

"Okay, Dr. Andrews. Now come and see this section on the wall. It shows what is in the tomb."

Ethan takes me to the section and says;

"Look at this section, right here."

I light it with my flashlight. After a few seconds of looking at the section and the sections around it, I ask;

"What the fuck is that? It seems like a dog or a wolf, but it is huge. It looks twice as big as a normal wolf, maybe even bigger."

Ethan says;

"That is not all. Now in this section over here. You can clearly see that the people have put a human in the tomb. But in this section, it is actually a wolf. It makes no sense at all. Is it a wolf or human in the tomb?"

I turn, light up my face, and say;

"Well, that is why we need to look for a way to get into the tomb. We have to study the walls and see if there is a way to open the floor up. Nice spotting all of this, Ethan."

"Thank you, Dr. Andrews."

I walk outside to the crew working on the photos that Ethan is taking. I tell them;

"Okay. New project. I need you to go through the photos as they come in."

They look at me like I am craze and say;

"That is what we are doing."

I shake my head and say;

"No. You are cataloging it. I need you to see if you can find a way of opening the floor of the room. You will see the photos paint a clear picture of people sealed into this room, and there is a tomb underneath the floor. Find the section where they locked the tomb or how they closed the floor of the tomb."

"Okay, Dr. Andrews."
