“Your mom and I attended the same college. She was quite the beauty and every guy on campus wanted her. She liked me and chose me over all of them, maybe it was because of my fancy way of dressing, I don’t know, I never really asked her. All I know is that we grew to love ourselves so much and became inseparable.

“I proposed to her with the necklace you have there and she accepted, maybe it’s because she knew its worth. It cost me a fortune at that time. I was glad she loved it and a few years later, we got married.” West said and smiled.

“That’s pretty sweet. I’m sure she loved you for you, not material things.” Dahlia said.

“Yeah, I know. If not, she would have sold the necklace after agreeing to my proposal and would have easily called it off. I’m glad she didn’t.” West said.

“She gave it to me. That’s sweet.” Dahlia said as she took it out again and looked at it.
