“Hmph!” Zephyr flashed a wry smile; he had not stopped there. Zephyr dove through the water curtain, out into the Forest, and went after Kerr, still mid-flight. Zephyr reminded Kerr who he was dealing with, he stomped onto Kerr, and it sent him crashing down into the ground below. Kerr let out a scream of pain, both hearing the snapping of bone as they crashed into the dirt, it even sent out shockwaves that ruffled the trees. As the dirt kicked up, the leaves fell gently down onto the cracked grounds below. As the dust clouds dissipated, it revealed Zephyr as he stood upon Kerr above a web of cracks, like a spider with its prey.Kerr coughed a fit, and spewed blood out onto the ground, his looks showed of the disbelief he felt. He stared up at Zephyr, eyes full of hatred. He could not believe how an insect like Zephyr had bested him, and now standing atop him. Kerr could only writhe helplessly while he glared at Zephyr. “H-how?! How is this possible?! How did you get so strong! You’re
A scroll was found, but to be more exact, it was a painting. Zephyr unfurled the scroll, it revealed a scenic view of mountains, spring water, poppies, and more. At first glance, it looked like an ordinary painting, yet, Zephyr knew there was more to this painting. Why would Kerr have this on him? More so, how did this fragile painting not get damaged during their intense scuffle earlier? Zephyr knew this was no ordinary drawing.“There must be a secret somewhere!” Zephyr was keen-eyed by nature; he was sure that this was no ordinary artwork. He studied the painting closely, observed it’s mountains, trees, birds, flowers, beasts… Suddenly, he felt his power swell up inside him, a hurricane formed within. His whole body shook vigorously, a small stream of blood trickled out the side of his mouth. The painting had changed, it no longer showed a scenic mountain view. No, it showed its true nature.Swords and blades. That was it. A multitude of bladed weaponry appeared in his mind’s eye
“This painting’s Blade Focus when compared to Earth-shatterer’s Fist Focus does have little difference.” Zephyr said. “I, however, do not wish to stay at their level, I want my own style of Focus to be better than theirs!”“My Blade’s Focus shall be legendary; nobody shall ever come close! I will be the strongest swordsman there ever will be!” Zephyr’s eyes lit up once again, and allowed a steady stream of iridescent light to pour out. He carefully focused upon the two battle Focuses, meticulously chanted his mantra, poured his all into this ritual. He lifted a finger and drew slashes, as if it were a blade itself.Following his finger’s movements, his Focus transcended his fingertips, and materialized into little slashing blades. ‘The blade is the master of all weaponry, the ultimate tool for battle!’ Zephyr thought. “My Earth-shatterer, although bold and powerful, is clumsy and slow… However, even if the Focus within the painting was vile and wicked. I, on the other hand, will ha
The Feather Forest was still and quiet, nothing out of the ordinary had occurred. However, the breeze that flowed throughout the canopy, and through the leaves of the trees were still wrought with cold dead air. A great howl pierced the silence — the horrid cry of a wolf. Its silhouette could be seen as it darted through the greens with it’s speed of light lightning. A sword cut through the howl, and shimmered brightly in the darkness, much like how lightning cuts through the sky, it then shot straight for the large wolf’s head. Seeing a great flash coming its way, the wolf yelped, the light from the sword revealed its face of terror. The wolf was large, much like a camel, it’s maw ripened with fresh blood. Besides that, its spine was covered in bristles, terrible, terrible spikes of death. A common fighter would have screamed at the sight of the beast for it was no ordinary wolf, it was a Direwolf, a tier-two beast of the Forest. It was not to be underestimated. Even an Agility figh
Lewis ran as though each step was his last, he could not bear to turn his head around as he was deathly afraid of something. A rustle came from behind, followed by a loud crack. Seven figures appeared before him and blocked his way. The leader of the group held a sword, full of killing intent, and stared down at Lewis pridefully. Lewis felt like an ant before the man, Linus. The other six were Puck’s personal envoy.Seeing Puck’s envoy before him, Lewis lost control of his body, he knelt to the ground, body shivered without an end in sight. “Run, fool, run! Why’d you stop?” chuckled Linus. “I never once would have thought a managerial underling like you would dare go against master Puck, and yet, here you are! How brave!”“Master Puck had been investigating the disappearance of Zephyr’s handmaiden, and turns out, you were the one responsible for keeping her in secret, wow! What a brave display!” Linus snorted, his intent clearer as he went on. “Bullsh*t! There is no master Puck! The
The voice sounded and felt like it descended from the heavens, a commanding tone indeed. Even Linus’ men could not stifle their shiver. “Who goes there!” one of them yelled, all of them equipped their weapons immediately. The leaves rustled in the wind, some broke free from their branches and floated blissfully onto the ground, the man behind the voice appeared, and he slowly walked out of the Feather Forest. His body was lean, his hair flowing freely, an icy yet calm demeanor surrounded him. Zephyr had arrived.“You!”“You’re still alive?!”Everyone was up in arms as they saw Zephyr. They looked like they had just seen a ghost. Linus however, brightly smiled, “Wow! Just, wow! I never thought I’d see your face again! I’m sure I’ll be well rewarded once I bring you home!” he called out. “Zephyr my boy, why don’t you start begging, maybe I’ll even cut you some slack!” Linus stared at Zephyr the same way he stared at Lewis, as though the other was a bug.“Master, please, go! Return to
Fear!Shock!Terror! Those were the feelings that crumpled up within each of them. However, the greatest feeling that was felt — disbelief!“How…? How did you manage this? What sort of Focus is this? Why can’t I measure it!?” Linus gripped his sword tightly, doing his best to fend off Zephyr’s flurry of slashes. “Pathetic!” Zephyr stated coldly, loud enough to rupture Linus’ eardrums, this sent him into a shivering frenzy. “Die,” Zephyr flicked his fingers, before Linus even managed to spit out one syllable, a blade was sent flying at Linus. The blade went through Linus, and just like that, with wide eyes of terror, a sliver of crimson flowed down from his forehead and slowly expanded. Linus’ body then slowly tore apart from itself, splitted itself in two, his blood spurt out like a geyser. And with that, a metallic clunk sound rang throughout the forest, his blade had fallen to the ground.“Run! Save yourself!” one of the men on the ground called out. All six of them were still o
Zephyr had pushed Lightfoot to the limit, he struggled to focus his pent-up rage into efficient use, but right now, all he could see was red. All the while Zephyr blamed himself, he blamed his carelessness in this situation. Although he had let Leah stay with Lewis under his protection, it would not have lasted long, Puck had eyes everywhere, the both of them could only hide so much. Although Leah was only Zephyr’s handmaiden, she was the closest he had to an actual family, she was the most important person in his life. In his previous life, Zephyr was unable to stop her suicide, but in this life, Zephyr would stop at nothing to keep her safe.‘Puck! Lincoln! If I find that you’ve laid even a finger on her hair, I will show no mercy!’ Zephyr thought to himself as he increased his speed, vanishing into the air.…The Khans were the second greatest house in Starlight City. The Khan household was like a castle, or a fort, it was much different than the commoners’ dwelling. In this pala
