I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I would love to read your comments.
Sebastian laughed, “Security is not an issue, love. Our security team has been working on this since the moment Victor found out that you were my mate. They knew Victor would start pursuing you and that this was inevitable. Therefore, they started making preparations for your arrival almost immediately. I furrowed my brow, “How would they know that?” He laughed, “To be honest, dad told them to start preparing when they got back from helping with the war. They saw the way Victor was acting and knew that he was losing it. They had him watched the moment he stopped hanging around with other women. They also knew that the rest of the triplets had no interest in taking the throne, so I was next in line.” I threw my head back in realization, “Ah, I see. Well, I’m glad they realize we need extra security, but I do think we could use some angels helping out.” He chuckled, “How can angels help?” I raised my eyebrows, “Angels can see into anyone’s heart. The angel that was guarding me when you f
We spent the rest of the day working on final preparations for the wedding and the evening was spent greeting guests as they arrived. When a beautiful woman with light brown hair and a tanned complexion walked in and hugged Sebastian, totally ignoring me, I raised my eyebrows and mind linked him, “Am I going to have to kick a bitch’s ass the night before our wedding?” He laughed out loud and pried the woman off of him, “Valerie, this is my mate and fiancée, Princess Adele of the Werebear and Lycan Kingdoms. Adele, this is Valerie. She is an old friend from childhood.” Valerie smiled, “I apologize for not acknowledging you, princess. I just haven’t seen the prince in several years. I went to study abroad five years ago and then he left the kingdom. So, I missed him when I got back. When I heard he was getting married, I almost cried. I never even got a chance with him.” Sebastian scowled, “You never had a chance, Valerie. You always knew that I would only settle for my goddess-given mat
I asked my mom, “Can you tell me who the guys you saw are, if you saw them again?” Mom chuckled, “Of course.” We went downstairs and walked around the dining room when mom pointed them out. Mom threw an ice bomb at them and they were frozen in place. I smiled at her, “Well, that’s a new trick.” Mom shrugged, “I never really thought to use it before.” We asked a couple warriors to take them to the dungeons just as we were approached by King Mateo, Queen Lydia and Noah. King Mateo asked, “What is going on?” Mom explained, “I saw Valerie speaking with a couple of men earlier today, and I followed the men. They went to Sebastian’s and Adele’s room. I stayed in my room, watching their room with our door cracked open. They walked out and Valerie walked in! She had no business being in there. Neither did those men. Adele just went to her room and we found bugs and cameras, three of each, in her room and bathroom. Then we found this on the bathroom mirror. She showed a picture of it from her p
I woke up the next morning, feeling anxious, but I couldn’t remember why until my morning haze lifted. TODAY IS MY WEDDING DAY! I sat straight up and jumped out of bed! I took a shower and dressed in some leggings and a long t-shirt. I poured myself a cup of coffee and sat in my lounge chair. I grabbed my phone on my way here and checked it for text messages while I drank my coffee. Nothing new there. That’s actually good news. Right now, I just want to relax before the craziness of the day starts. Last night, after all the nastiness with Valerie and the guys she hired, our warriors found the explosives that Vern told us about and he was questioned further to make sure he knew of no more than the two bombs that he described. He swore that he knew of no more and we brought in a tracker who was specially trained to find explosives. He only found residue where the other two were found. He searched the rest of the castle and found more in Valerie’s room. After disposing of all of that pro
All of the other women in my family walked out of the room, then dad and I walked out with my younger sisters and Sebastian’s sister, Renee, holding up my train behind me. As we walked, we had four warriors following closely behind and four warriors spread out in front of us, watching closely for any threats. As we walked to the door of the hallway, I watched as Sebastian’s quad walked inside, in time to the music. When the last bridesmaid was in, the doors closed until all of the bridesmaids were in position and dad and I were ready to walk in. As the doors opened, we walked in and I heard gasps as we passed each row, from both sides. I noticed Jeremy as I passed him and smiled at him. I heard him whisper to his mom, “She’s beautiful!” I chuckled as I walked past him, trying to keep my tears from falling from my eyes. I saw Sebastian standing at the altar, smiling, and wiping away a tear. I whispered to dad, “Dear Goddess, he’s going to make me cry before I even get up there.” Dad chu
I laughed, “We haven’t even gotten our bags yet.” In the blink of an eye, we were on a deserted beach with only a single house on the entire island. The house was beautiful, with an adobe exterior, palm trees surrounding it, and it looked like a Spanish-style home. I asked, “Where are we?” He smiled, “It’s our private island off the coast of Costa Rica. Let’s go to the house and get changed.” We walked into the house and I lost my breath at how beautiful it was. The tiled floor was such a beautiful blue that it looked like we were walking on the ocean. The walls were white, which only served to highlight the gorgeous floors. As we walked through the house, I was blown away by the kitchen which was huge with state-of-the-art appliances and white cabinets with rich blue countertops. I ran my hands over it, “I have never seen countertops this color before. They are gorgeous. He smiled, “They were specially made from tinted epoxy.” I smiled, “I love that.” We continued walking through the
As soon as I heard the gasp I grinned, “So you all felt that.” I saw all of them nod even though they knew that was not a question but rather a statement. I added, “Many, if not all of you, know that we have an issue with domestic violence in this kingdom.” Every single warrior nodded and I continued, “I am not here to ask you to call the abusers out. The entire purpose of these classes is to give those who are being abused the tools to protect themselves. That includes children who are being bullied, children and teens who being abused by other adults or family members. We will not tolerate unjustified violence; that includes bullying, violence by a family member, mate or parent. Retaliation against this type of violence will be excused as long as they were not the aggressors. In other words, they need to be attacked first before they can throw a punch. But by the time we are done training them, that won’t be an issue. They will be learning techniques and fighting styles that the regu
As we started designing the training room, we decided on a divider wall that would separate practicing trainers from training classes. There were mats stacked in each corner and along one wall so that trainees and trainers could grab one as needed. We did this because class sizes are going to vary and so will configurations. We entertained the idea of combining kids, toddler and women classes, just in different areas of the room. There would certainly be enough room to do it, but I wasn’t so sure we could get the children to focus and I wanted the mothers to feel free to speak, if they felt the inclination to do so. Therefore, we did decide to nix that idea, but open up the daycare on the first floor for them, free of charge. At least this way, they will know their children are safe. After all the work was done, I looked at my phone and saw that we only had another hour before our dinner/meeting in the conference room. I looked around and decided, “Babe, can we get a couple punching b
