All of the other women in my family walked out of the room, then dad and I walked out with my younger sisters and Sebastian’s sister, Renee, holding up my train behind me. As we walked, we had four warriors following closely behind and four warriors spread out in front of us, watching closely for any threats. As we walked to the door of the hallway, I watched as Sebastian’s quad walked inside, in time to the music. When the last bridesmaid was in, the doors closed until all of the bridesmaids were in position and dad and I were ready to walk in. As the doors opened, we walked in and I heard gasps as we passed each row, from both sides. I noticed Jeremy as I passed him and smiled at him. I heard him whisper to his mom, “She’s beautiful!” I chuckled as I walked past him, trying to keep my tears from falling from my eyes. I saw Sebastian standing at the altar, smiling, and wiping away a tear. I whispered to dad, “Dear Goddess, he’s going to make me cry before I even get up there.” Dad chu
I laughed, “We haven’t even gotten our bags yet.” In the blink of an eye, we were on a deserted beach with only a single house on the entire island. The house was beautiful, with an adobe exterior, palm trees surrounding it, and it looked like a Spanish-style home. I asked, “Where are we?” He smiled, “It’s our private island off the coast of Costa Rica. Let’s go to the house and get changed.” We walked into the house and I lost my breath at how beautiful it was. The tiled floor was such a beautiful blue that it looked like we were walking on the ocean. The walls were white, which only served to highlight the gorgeous floors. As we walked through the house, I was blown away by the kitchen which was huge with state-of-the-art appliances and white cabinets with rich blue countertops. I ran my hands over it, “I have never seen countertops this color before. They are gorgeous. He smiled, “They were specially made from tinted epoxy.” I smiled, “I love that.” We continued walking through the
As soon as I heard the gasp I grinned, “So you all felt that.” I saw all of them nod even though they knew that was not a question but rather a statement. I added, “Many, if not all of you, know that we have an issue with domestic violence in this kingdom.” Every single warrior nodded and I continued, “I am not here to ask you to call the abusers out. The entire purpose of these classes is to give those who are being abused the tools to protect themselves. That includes children who are being bullied, children and teens who being abused by other adults or family members. We will not tolerate unjustified violence; that includes bullying, violence by a family member, mate or parent. Retaliation against this type of violence will be excused as long as they were not the aggressors. In other words, they need to be attacked first before they can throw a punch. But by the time we are done training them, that won’t be an issue. They will be learning techniques and fighting styles that the regu
As we started designing the training room, we decided on a divider wall that would separate practicing trainers from training classes. There were mats stacked in each corner and along one wall so that trainees and trainers could grab one as needed. We did this because class sizes are going to vary and so will configurations. We entertained the idea of combining kids, toddler and women classes, just in different areas of the room. There would certainly be enough room to do it, but I wasn’t so sure we could get the children to focus and I wanted the mothers to feel free to speak, if they felt the inclination to do so. Therefore, we did decide to nix that idea, but open up the daycare on the first floor for them, free of charge. At least this way, they will know their children are safe. After all the work was done, I looked at my phone and saw that we only had another hour before our dinner/meeting in the conference room. I looked around and decided, “Babe, can we get a couple punching b
I woke up this morning at my favorite time… before sunrise. I started a cup of coffee while I went to take my shower and put on my leggings and sports bra for training. I grabbed my coffee and sat in my favorite lounge chair on our balcony to watch the sunrise. I was enjoying my coffee when Sebastian walked out with a cup of coffee in his hand. He sat behind me in my chair, wrapping one arm around me while he held his coffee with the other hand. I leaned back against him and sighed, “Mmm, I think this is my most favorite spot in this world.” He chuckled, “I love the sound of that.” I had to spoil the fun by reminding him, “We only have about thirty minutes until we need to get to the training room. It’s probably not a good idea to get too comfortable.” He sighed in disappointment, “I know. I guess this is life now.” I sighed as I snuggled into him, “We just need to learn to enjoy the little moments that we have alone in our days.” He kissed the top of my head, “I agree, love.” Just th
King Quincy and Queen Lori came out and gasped, “What happened?” I sighed, “This had to have gone on for weeks. She and the baby are so emaciated.” I want my Grandma Gabi to treat her and the baby. She’s the only one I trust right now.” Grandpa Cade showed up as soon as I said that and replied, “She will meet you all there.” I added, “I need to get to that little girl. I had them take her to the private kitchen and take her order. I want to talk to her while she eats. I also told them I want a female warrior in the room with her mother at all times and a log kept of who all tries to visit her and the baby.” Queen Lori replied, “They will all be heavily guarded. I will stay with mom. You go talk to that little girl.” I nodded, “Thank you.” I went to the private kitchen and joined the little girl at a table. She was drinking a glass of milk and looked so cute with her milk mustache. She asked, “Princess, is my mom and baby brother going to be okay?” I sighed, “I don’t know right now. I
I shook my head, “Jessica is beating herself up because her mother kept giving her the food they were given. She also helped her mother deliver the baby. She’s only five but she is way older than her years. To be honest, she’s way older than she needs to be.” Sebastian agreed, “She’s still a child, but she knows way more than she should. She’s super aware of everything around her.” I sighed, “PTSD at its finest. I need to see if we can find a good counselor to take up residency. I think we’re going to need one… or five.” Sebastian nodded, “We have two on staff now. One male and one female.” I smiled, “Good. That’s a really good start.” Grandma Gabi shook her head, “That poor mother has all kinds of cuts, bruises, broken bones, and she had a punctured lung. That’s not even a complete list. We are still waiting for imaging results, and lab results. I have inserted a chest tube to reinflate that lung, but I may have to do surgery. The problem is, she needs to get stronger before I can. I
I turned to Grandma Gabi, “Can we talk outside for a moment?” Grandma Gabi and I walked outside and I stopped her, “Sebastian found the house. The baby girl is still alive. They are rushing her in. She’s an omega.” Mom smiled, “That’s why she was quiet and didn’t move. She knew, instinctively, that she needed to do that. We should wait until I see her and treat her before we say anything to Jessica.” I nodded, “I agree.” Grandma Gabi and I walked back into Jessica’s ER room and she smiled, “Well, Jessica, here is what I think we need to do. I need to put you in a room of your own. You will be right next door to your mama. Okay? You will probably be in that room for the next couple days. I want you to be able to heal your ribs and your leg. I need to keep a close eye on your kidneys too.” Jessica smiled, “Will I be able to visit my mama soon?” Grandma Gabi nodded, “I hope we can take you to see her tomorrow. I need to keep a close eye on her tonight. Okay?” Jessica nodded, “Thank you, D
My quadruplets are five years old now and we have added five more children to the family since then. We had a set of triplets when the quad was two, and then a set of twins last year. To say I have been busy would be an understatement. My triplets, Eddie, Cade and Damien are quite the handful. I’ve tried to get Sebastian to intervene, but he just says, “They’re just boys.” My twins, Allie, short for Allison, and Emma turned one today. We had a huge playground installed at the castle and our kids just love it. We are giving all the kids in our children’s age groups the day off from training so we can celebrate the twins’ birthday. As we watched all the kids play, Joshua asked, “Mom, does the quad have to be here?” I laughed because all the kids in our quad are way more intelligent and mature than they should be. By the time they were three all four of them knew how to read and were highly skilled on the computer. I sighed, “But don’t you want to wish the twins a happy birthday?” He ga
Sebastian and I have been officially on the throne for three months and I am now miserably pregnant. My belly is absolutely huge and Sebastian loves watching me waddle everywhere I walk. I, on the other hand, seem to be nesting. I got all of the blankets for our little ones crocheted and I have been doing a lot of extra cleaning lately. I was cleaning the bathroom when Sebastian reminded me, “Babe, we have staff that do that. You don’t need to. If you want to do something for the babies, why don’t you crochet some more stuff. You could make little booties or hats for them. I smiled, “I think you’re right. Thank you.” I grabbed some yarn and a hook and sat down on the couch. I got up almost immediately and started walking away. Sebastian asked, “What’s wrong?” I sighed, “I have to pee… again.” He chuckled, “It’s almost over, babe.” I smiled, “I know.” I got to the bathroom and felt a gush of water. I knew I hadn’t peed, then looked down at the puddle under my feet. I walked back to the
When Sebastian and I got to the hall entrance the doors were closed and they were waiting for everyone to take their places. While we waited, I looked around us. There was a man behind Sebastian who was highlighted in red. With one hand, I conjured a dagger of ice. Just as he was raising is hand with a dagger of his own, I threw my dagger at him and it pierced his eye and went into his brain. He instantly fell backward, dead. Sebastian looked at me, surprised, “Was it a highlighted one?” I chuckled, “He was literally seconds from plunging a dagger into your back. I’m just glad I saw him.” He smiled, “I’m glad you did too.” Just then, the doors opened and we locked arms. I guess I was gripping his arm a little tighter than I meant to because he mumbled, “You are cutting off the circulation to my hand, love. Relax.” I chuckled as I loosened my grip on his arm, “Sorry, babe.” He chuckled, “No problem.” When we got to the stage, we walked up the steps and stood in front of King Quincy and
I woke up the next morning with my first thought being, “Holy shit! Today is Coronation Day!” I didn’t even take a second to stretch before jumping out of bed and practically running to the bathroom to take a shower. After taking my shower, I went to our closet and put on a sundress until it was time to get ready for the event. I went to the kitchen and poured myself a cup of coffee and sat in my favorite chaise lounge chair by the windows. I hadn’t been there long when my mom walked in. She poured a cup of coffee for herself and sat at the other end of my chair looking out the windows, “Are these the same kind of windows we have?” I nodded, “Yep. I like the idea of me seeing out, but no one can see in.” Mom agreed, “I always liked that too. Are you ready for your crowning ceremony?” I smiled, “I am. I was nervous at first, but Queen Lori told me that I’ve been doing the duties of a queen since I got here.” Mom laughed, “Being a queen is no different than being a luna. You are the moth
We spent more time than we originally planned in town and we had so much fun. After more baby shopping, Sebastian took me to a bakery that also sold ice cream. I ordered a jelly donut and a scoop of cherry ice cream, while Sebastian went with the classic apple turnover with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I reveled in the taste of my sweet treat and Sebastian laughed at me. I shrugged, “What? It’s good.” I filled a fork full of it and held it to his lips. He took a bite and smiled, “I guess you’re right. I never thought of that combination.” I smiled, “Now, I just need to learn how to make jelly filled donuts. I already know how to make the regular ones.” His eyes went wide, “You know how to make donuts?” I laughed, “I do. Would you like those for breakfast tomorrow?” He replied, “Probably not tomorrow. We should eat in the dining room tomorrow morning with it being coronation day and all the guests we have coming.” I looked at my phone and gasped, “Guests! My family is probably at the c
I woke up this morning, stretching and enjoying the sunlight streaming into our room. We have been moved into our wing of the castle for almost a full week and I have been thoroughly enjoying being able to cook for my mate. Once in a while we invite his parents over for dinner, just to see how they like being out of the castle and to consult with them on small issues. I got out of bed and headed to our kitchen to grab a cup of coffee. I moved to the chaise lounge by the window and sat there, looking outside, while I drank my coffee to wake up for a bit. As I sat there, I had to think about everything that needed to be done today. It’s the day before our coronation, so my family will be here today. I’m so excited to see them. As busy as I have been, I still miss them. I finish my first cup of coffee and sigh as I get out of my chair. I went to the kitchen and started making the biscuits for breakfast. As soon as they were cut out, I started making the sausage and bacon. When the sausa
It has been a week since Yahir was captured. King Quincy had sentenced him to death after one week of taking fifty whip lashes daily. Today is the day he is put to death and I am looking forward to it. His mate’s parents were sitting in front of us and I placed one hand on the mother’s shoulder and my other hand on her father’s shoulder in a gesture of comfort. I released a small amount of my omega waves and they visibly relaxed. The mother smiled at me, “Thank you, princess.” I smiled, “You’re very welcome. This may get a little gross. Let me know if you need more.” She smiled, “Thank you.” Just minutes later, Yahir was brought out, his entire backside, including the backs of his legs, was covered in bloody slashes. He was led to a wall, his arms spread out and wrists cuffed to the wall. His ankles restrained to the wall with his shackles. King Quincy sat in his throne and one of the warriors stepped forward to face us, “We are here to witness the execution of Yahir for the charges o
When they landed, I noticed that their hands were all forced to stay straight at their sides. The man in front was a tall, slim, man with long brown hair and brown eyes. I noticed that his eyes looked sunken in and his complexion pale. The men behind him looked like death warmed over. They were all skinny, eyes sunken in, and pale complexions, so I knew something had happened to them that was making them waste away. Possibly a rejection. The man in front stood there with a smirk on his face, “So you figured out a way to find me. I have to tell you, though, this isn’t all of my army.” Queen Lori laughed, “The rest are probably in our dungeons.” Queen Winnie added, “Or they aren’t very committed to your cause.” Yahir responded, “No, they are just good at hiding.” I laughed, “I guess we will find out.” King Quincy had some warriors grab them, “Take them to the dungeons and guard Yahir diligently.” After the guards took them away, Queen Winnie raised her arms again and cast the spell agai
It has been two weeks since Crystal moved away and she couldn’t be happier. She called us the night after she moved to the new town and told us that Alpha Abel is her mate! They are taking their time, he wants to be sure she trusts him before they mark and mate each other. She has already started warrior training and is super happy with it. She and I are starting to become friends and I am so happy to see the confident woman she is becoming. The other woman who wanted to reject her mate, Katie, was able to do just that the following day. We were able to get her and her child new identities and moved them to another town that is thirty miles away. She was able to get a job as a bookkeeper for the pack and is very happy just concentrating on giving her daughter a better life. I am so happy for her each time we speak. Meanwhile, we have been watching the training classes and the great improvements each class has made. Now that we have a comfortable schedule for the women’s classes, I as
