The next morning, I took a shower, got dressed and walked downstairs to grab a cup of coffee and start cooking breakfast. However, when I got downstairs, Quinn and Sam were already cooking strawberry pancakes, bacon and sausage. I grabbed a cup of coffee and asked, “Can I help with anything?” They smiled as Quinn responded, “I hope you don’t mind that we did this. We just didn’t like the thought of you fussing over us all the time. We wanted to be able to help out.” I smiled, “I don’t mind at all. You go ahead and do what you want to do. I need to get Jamie and Bridget here as soon as we can. I want to take care of this dark warlock now. I hate feeling like I’m being watched.” Grace walked downstairs and smiled, “Looks like Sebastian already did that.” She pointed to the door just as the doorbell rang. I opened the door to find Bridget and Jamie standing there.

Jamie smiled, “Good morning, princess. Sebastian asked us to come over this morning.” I sighed, “Yeah, we have another situat

The next morning, I started making biscuits, and frying sausage at the same time. After cutting the biscuits, I put them on the baking sheet and then into the oven. I strained the fat off of the sausage and returned some of it back to the pan. I added flour, salt and some pepper, and whisked it until it was beige and smooth. I started slowly adding milk and kept whisking until the gravy was thick and smooth. I removed it from the heat and added the sausage back in. I took the biscuits out of the oven and started prepping my blender. I pinched apart two biscuits and a cup of gravy, then replaced the lid and pureed it to mashed potatoes and gravy consistency. I poured it into a bowl and topped it with a lid, then prepared a tray for Sebastian and myself. I poured a cup of coffee for him, then topped mine off and carried it up to our room. I opened the door and found Sebastian still in bed, sleeping soundly. We had a late-night last night, telling mom about everything that had happened w

After changing clothes in our wing of the castle, we visited with my grandmother for a few minutes before excusing ourselves to prepare for his siblings’ arrival tomorrow. I told grandma that I was planning a dinner while they were here and I would let them know when I had a more definite schedule set. Both of my grandparents seemed to be okay with that and we left. As we drove away, Sebastian asked, “Wasn’t Payne’s death a little… dissatisfying?” I laughed, “Yeah, a little. But I also gave him what he attempted to give my mother. There seemed to be a bit of justice in that. Ya know?” He agreed, “I did enjoy the look of fear in his eyes as you dug your claw into his neck.” I smiled, “I did that with the sole intention of making it hurt worse than what my mom would have felt. I wanted him to hurt before he died… even if it wasn’t for very long.” He agreed, “Well, I think it worked. At least he felt the fear and the pain that your mom didn’t have to feel. Plus, I kinda enjoyed the look

I was the first person up the next morning. I went to the kitchen and immediately started breakfast. As I started the blueberry pancakes and sausage, I started a pineapple protein shake for mom. I almost had it done when mom and dad walked in. Mom asked, “Can we join you for breakfast?” I chuckled, “I was just about to set aside some pancakes for dad and bring your shake to you. It’s pineapple this time.” Mom smiled, “Mmm. Sounds good. Today is the last day of shakes. I get to start eating solid food tomorrow.” I smiled, “That’s awesome. Do you want some oatmeal this morning? I could make some cheesy grits for you.” Mom shook her head, “This is enough. I can suffer the shakes for one more day.” I asked, “Suffer?” She laughed, “They really are very good. I haven’t had a bad one yet.” I smiled, “Thank you.” I poured a cup of coffee and put it in front of dad and asked mom, “Would you like a cup of coffee?” Mom nodded, “I would love that.” I poured a cup and put it in front of her. I turned around to find Victor standing there. I corrected, “The Goddess does not make mistakes. Maybe you should take a look at yourself to find out why you have not received a mate. If you figure it out, then you could change. I am not the only omega on earth.” Victor shrugged, “Or I could just steal you from my brother.” I shrugged, “Sorry. Not happening. I show him my mark, “Already marked and mated. I am already head over heels for your brother. There is no way you could tear me from him.” He shrugged, “No matter. I will figure it out.” I started to walk past him and he grabbed my wrist. I tried to twist my wrist out of his hand to no avail. I grabbed his arm with my free hand and turned. I threw him over my shoulder making him land hard with a loud thud on the ground. He let go of my wrist on the way down and I heard my mate’s voice from behind me, “Oh. I guess I didn’t tell you that she has been training in hand-to-hand combat since she was old enough to walk.” I added, “MMA is

I went to the kitchen and started the lamb roast. I needed it to cook low and slow, so I wanted to make sure it started early. As soon as I had that in the oven, I walked outside to find all of the younger siblings jumping on the trampoline again. I asked, “Do you all have enough room to jump?” Lizzy replied, “It would be great if we could have another one for flips and handsprings.” I walked to an area just a short distance from the first one and slid my foot into a line and hopped. I stood at the end and started running into a front handspring, a front flip, into a triple back flip. Renee stopped what she was doing and applauded when I was done, “You’re very good. Thank you for doing this for us.” I replied, “I wouldn’t want you guys getting bored.” Then I turned to Lizzy and Emily, “Did you show them the game room?” Robert and Ryan immediately perked up, “Game room?” I laughed, “Yep. If you had joined us on the tour of the house, you would have already seen it. Lizzie, why don’t you

When dinner was ready, Sebastian, Vito and Vance helped take the food to the table while Kelly and Katie set the table. Mom had already called for Renee and Emily to get dressed for dinner over the loudspeaker, scaring the life out of Renee and making Emily laugh. Sebastian sent a mind link to Robert and Ryan to get ready for dinner and Lizzy walked out with them. When everyone sat down at the table, Sebastian smiled, “Mmm homemade dinner rolls. I’ve been eyeing them since you had them out to rise.” I laughed, “I hope they live up to your expectations.” Dad smiled, “I’ve been looking forward to this lamb roast.’ As the dishes were passed around, I could see mom looking sullen. I leaned into her and whispered, “I will make you a feast tomorrow, mom. I promise. All you have to do is tell me what you want.” Mom smiled, “I think the kabobs idea would be great. Maybe a Greek cucumber and tomato salad with it and some couscous.” I smiled, “That does sound really good. I was going to make som

Victor POV I knew I was in trouble the moment I laid eyes on her for the first time. How my younger, no good, brother got paired with her is beyond me. She is everything a kingdom of any species needs. She deserves to be with a king, not a prince who has no chance of reaching the throne. She has everything. She’s drop-dead beautiful… beautiful enough to disable a king with her mere presence. The woman would not be easy to take for my own either. Not only does she have my brother and three of her own brothers protecting her, but she’s a force to be reckoned with on her own. All this was not all she is good at. She could’ve been my private cook on top of everything. She could’ve served me in every way. I overstepped my boundaries at dinner by suggesting that she hadn’t suffered enough. To be honest, I had no clue what all she had been through, but she had too much confidence to have been too horribly abused. When she challenged me, I had no choice but to accept. I could not be beaten b

Adele POV I knew what Sebastian was doing when he joined his brothers in the pool. That was fine with me. As long as my mate is keeping an eye on Victor, he won’t try anything with me. Katie and Kelly swam to me as Kelly giggled, “Lady, you know you are going to make your mate suffer in that teeny bikini. You look stunning in everything you wear.” I smiled, “Thank you. You ladies look beautiful too.” Katie asked, “Do you think Sebastian is going to be able to get Victor to back off?” I shrugged, “If he doesn’t, we will have to visit each other here. I can’t risk being in your kingdom.” She sighed, “We already told him that if he doesn’t give it up, he will be doing it alone and he will be scum in our eyes. Vance told him that the guys would choose you over him if it came to that.” Kelly added, “And we know mom and dad would strip him of his title if he tried this. He’s making his intentions very apparent and we are not liking it.” Katie sighed, “We have already talked to our parents a

My quadruplets are five years old now and we have added five more children to the family since then. We had a set of triplets when the quad was two, and then a set of twins last year. To say I have been busy would be an understatement. My triplets, Eddie, Cade and Damien are quite the handful. I’ve tried to get Sebastian to intervene, but he just says, “They’re just boys.” My twins, Allie, short for Allison, and Emma turned one today. We had a huge playground installed at the castle and our kids just love it. We are giving all the kids in our children’s age groups the day off from training so we can celebrate the twins’ birthday. As we watched all the kids play, Joshua asked, “Mom, does the quad have to be here?” I laughed because all the kids in our quad are way more intelligent and mature than they should be. By the time they were three all four of them knew how to read and were highly skilled on the computer. I sighed, “But don’t you want to wish the twins a happy birthday?” He ga

Sebastian and I have been officially on the throne for three months and I am now miserably pregnant. My belly is absolutely huge and Sebastian loves watching me waddle everywhere I walk. I, on the other hand, seem to be nesting. I got all of the blankets for our little ones crocheted and I have been doing a lot of extra cleaning lately. I was cleaning the bathroom when Sebastian reminded me, “Babe, we have staff that do that. You don’t need to. If you want to do something for the babies, why don’t you crochet some more stuff. You could make little booties or hats for them. I smiled, “I think you’re right. Thank you.” I grabbed some yarn and a hook and sat down on the couch. I got up almost immediately and started walking away. Sebastian asked, “What’s wrong?” I sighed, “I have to pee… again.” He chuckled, “It’s almost over, babe.” I smiled, “I know.” I got to the bathroom and felt a gush of water. I knew I hadn’t peed, then looked down at the puddle under my feet. I walked back to the

When Sebastian and I got to the hall entrance the doors were closed and they were waiting for everyone to take their places. While we waited, I looked around us. There was a man behind Sebastian who was highlighted in red. With one hand, I conjured a dagger of ice. Just as he was raising is hand with a dagger of his own, I threw my dagger at him and it pierced his eye and went into his brain. He instantly fell backward, dead. Sebastian looked at me, surprised, “Was it a highlighted one?” I chuckled, “He was literally seconds from plunging a dagger into your back. I’m just glad I saw him.” He smiled, “I’m glad you did too.” Just then, the doors opened and we locked arms. I guess I was gripping his arm a little tighter than I meant to because he mumbled, “You are cutting off the circulation to my hand, love. Relax.” I chuckled as I loosened my grip on his arm, “Sorry, babe.” He chuckled, “No problem.” When we got to the stage, we walked up the steps and stood in front of King Quincy and

I woke up the next morning with my first thought being, “Holy shit! Today is Coronation Day!” I didn’t even take a second to stretch before jumping out of bed and practically running to the bathroom to take a shower. After taking my shower, I went to our closet and put on a sundress until it was time to get ready for the event. I went to the kitchen and poured myself a cup of coffee and sat in my favorite chaise lounge chair by the windows. I hadn’t been there long when my mom walked in. She poured a cup of coffee for herself and sat at the other end of my chair looking out the windows, “Are these the same kind of windows we have?” I nodded, “Yep. I like the idea of me seeing out, but no one can see in.” Mom agreed, “I always liked that too. Are you ready for your crowning ceremony?” I smiled, “I am. I was nervous at first, but Queen Lori told me that I’ve been doing the duties of a queen since I got here.” Mom laughed, “Being a queen is no different than being a luna. You are the moth

We spent more time than we originally planned in town and we had so much fun. After more baby shopping, Sebastian took me to a bakery that also sold ice cream. I ordered a jelly donut and a scoop of cherry ice cream, while Sebastian went with the classic apple turnover with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I reveled in the taste of my sweet treat and Sebastian laughed at me. I shrugged, “What? It’s good.” I filled a fork full of it and held it to his lips. He took a bite and smiled, “I guess you’re right. I never thought of that combination.” I smiled, “Now, I just need to learn how to make jelly filled donuts. I already know how to make the regular ones.” His eyes went wide, “You know how to make donuts?” I laughed, “I do. Would you like those for breakfast tomorrow?” He replied, “Probably not tomorrow. We should eat in the dining room tomorrow morning with it being coronation day and all the guests we have coming.” I looked at my phone and gasped, “Guests! My family is probably at the c

  • The Warlock's Wrath   Chapter 116

I woke up this morning, stretching and enjoying the sunlight streaming into our room. We have been moved into our wing of the castle for almost a full week and I have been thoroughly enjoying being able to cook for my mate. Once in a while we invite his parents over for dinner, just to see how they like being out of the castle and to consult with them on small issues. I got out of bed and headed to our kitchen to grab a cup of coffee. I moved to the chaise lounge by the window and sat there, looking outside, while I drank my coffee to wake up for a bit. As I sat there, I had to think about everything that needed to be done today. It’s the day before our coronation, so my family will be here today. I’m so excited to see them. As busy as I have been, I still miss them. I finish my first cup of coffee and sigh as I get out of my chair. I went to the kitchen and started making the biscuits for breakfast. As soon as they were cut out, I started making the sausage and bacon. When the sausa

It has been a week since Yahir was captured. King Quincy had sentenced him to death after one week of taking fifty whip lashes daily. Today is the day he is put to death and I am looking forward to it. His mate’s parents were sitting in front of us and I placed one hand on the mother’s shoulder and my other hand on her father’s shoulder in a gesture of comfort. I released a small amount of my omega waves and they visibly relaxed. The mother smiled at me, “Thank you, princess.” I smiled, “You’re very welcome. This may get a little gross. Let me know if you need more.” She smiled, “Thank you.” Just minutes later, Yahir was brought out, his entire backside, including the backs of his legs, was covered in bloody slashes. He was led to a wall, his arms spread out and wrists cuffed to the wall. His ankles restrained to the wall with his shackles. King Quincy sat in his throne and one of the warriors stepped forward to face us, “We are here to witness the execution of Yahir for the charges o

When they landed, I noticed that their hands were all forced to stay straight at their sides. The man in front was a tall, slim, man with long brown hair and brown eyes. I noticed that his eyes looked sunken in and his complexion pale. The men behind him looked like death warmed over. They were all skinny, eyes sunken in, and pale complexions, so I knew something had happened to them that was making them waste away. Possibly a rejection. The man in front stood there with a smirk on his face, “So you figured out a way to find me. I have to tell you, though, this isn’t all of my army.” Queen Lori laughed, “The rest are probably in our dungeons.” Queen Winnie added, “Or they aren’t very committed to your cause.” Yahir responded, “No, they are just good at hiding.” I laughed, “I guess we will find out.” King Quincy had some warriors grab them, “Take them to the dungeons and guard Yahir diligently.” After the guards took them away, Queen Winnie raised her arms again and cast the spell agai
