Chapter 1

“Why are you in daze again?” Hillary asked Kath when she caught her staring at the passenger for too long.

Kath immediately shifted her gaze somewhere, pretending that she didn’t do what her friend said. “I—I’m not!” she lied but Hillary saw her holding the square cufflink with a jade stone in it.

Kath is eager to find the man that even in her dreams is showing up to her, she will not stop until he found him again but the only things she have is his cufflink, and the only clue she know is that he goes in United Kingdom. His image had already vanished in her mind since it has been years. There are lots of question have been running in her head and it increases as the day passes by. Katherine Del Valle is a brilliant, stunning, sexy, and multilingual woman who is qualified to be a flight attendant. However, she just discovered that she wants to do something more adventurous, so she enrolled in Mass Communication and graduated with honors at the age of twenty-five. She comes from an underprivileged family but works hard to become a prosperous entrepreneur later in life. She is now a newbie newscaster in SKN network in the Philippines, her father is against her dream and wants her to be part of their winery business but she chose what she wants. She joined every flight of Sky Philippines to U.K. whenever she wants since her uncle owns the business and permit her to be part of the flight.

Hillary sighed, “when will you stop looking for him, Kath? You're squandering your energy, time, and life on a man who doesn't even aware you exist! It's been a decade! That's ten years! TEN YEARS!" She spelled to jolt her out of her reverie.

Kath stared into her eyes, “I will never back-out! I am willing to explore the whole world just to see him again!”

Hillary keep her cool and folded her arm while checking if all the passengers loaded in their seats, “I don’t believe that you will still find him! Let me ask you this question, how can you find a man who you can’t recognize even his face?” she speak the truth.

"I don't think that's your problem, Hill," Kath says, little upset by the way she exaggerates her comments to her. “Relax, Kath! I am just stating the fact, I hope you don’t mind,” Hillary stated.

Kath has turned back and plans to leave their chat.

“Miss Katherine! Can you help me with something?!” A bossy guy passenger hailed her, forcing her to turn around, and she grumbled when she saw that fussy man again.

Jacob Alejandro is a Filipino-Mexican businessman and most influential business man across the globe, his face is all over the magazine and news. Though he is a successful man he can’t deny that there is something missing in his life but he did not let it affect his life and performance in his career. His father believes that he is born to soar high that’s why he focused in his work that he forgets how to love and at his age of thirty one… he is still a bachelor.

“Here he is again, Hill,” she mumbled.

“Goodluck, Kath,” her friend whispered.

Kath went to the man and raise her left eyebrow at the man, “how can I help you… again, sir?” She's caustic to him while making her voice sound pleasant. She nicely smile at him upon turning at her, he is talking to someone on the phone.

She examined him and noted that he had matured into a more attractive guy, but he still wore the same sneer that irritated her all the time. She quickly shifted her sight around while waiting for his answer.

“Help me put up my things,” he coldly orders her. Hillary drops her jaw upon hearing him order her.

“Why does this man is always making her life hard in the cabin?” She murmured, watching her friend from afar.

Kath lowered her gaze and saw his silver luggage on the ground, “he should have asked a man to carry his things,” she irritably mumbled in a hushed tone.

Kath quickly carried his baggage and tries to put it up inside the overhead cabin luggage but it was too heavy for her to carry for too long, her left wrist aches while she is pushing it in. She had to suffer that for a while, tiptoeing her feet to get there.

Jacob turned off his phone and turns to her, he saw that she’s having a hard time to put his things up. He approaches her from behind, saying, "Let me do it," and holds it for her, causing Kath to turn to face him as he pushes his suitcase.

Kath is dazedly looking at his face, her heart pounding harder as her gaze is drawn to his brown eyes. Her world appears to come to a halt as she continues to scrutinize every aspect of his face.

Her face gets pink as her gaze falls to his lovely pouty lips and lowers to his enticing bump in his throat, as if she is enchanted.

"Katharine, wake up! He's not even your type, come on! He's a jerk who has no regard for women like you! " Her mind is jolting her awake.

"What are you still doing there?! ", Jacob said, lowering his gaze.

Kath’s heart almost jump out of her chest when he roar at her, she quickly shifted her sight and turns to him.

“I…I—” she stuttered while thinking of a reason.

Jacob knitted his brows and studied her reaction, he noticed her flushed face. Jacob moves his face closer to her as she is trying to move her face away from him and shifting her gaze. He shoved her against the chair behind her and stared into her small dark eyes, “why is your face blushing?”

Kath can’t look straightly at him and can’t deny his allegation against her, “don’t tell me you’re in love with me?” he claims proudly and smirk at her.

She furrows her brows and bravely look at him, she place her hands on his chest and push him gently away from her, "good one, sir! I had no idea you were not just a domineering, but also a pompous and egotistical man who thinks highly of yourself!" She rolled her eyes and smirked.

“Stop playing, I am not a fool, Miss. I have seen a lot of girls like you who are playing hard to get but deep down your heart, I know you love me!” he brags.
