Side Story 3 : Sarah's Choice

Sarah's sharp gaze was directed outside the window.

The carriage running at full speed rattled roughly against the pavement, but the tension seeing in through was as calm as a vacuum.

They have traveled far and wide. The distance from her hometown, Sulli, to the Capital, Illest, took almost half a day by horse carriage. Of course, that could only be done with the assumption that they didn't stop to rest in the middle of the trip, while they stopped quite often at Hayden's request, which was worried about Sarah's condition.

During the trip, Hayden squeezed his finger in between Sarah's fingers. Sarah gently traced the callouses on his palm with her fingertips. His hand is not as rough as Sarah's hand even though both of them wielded a sword.

'Hmm, even his hands aren't as rough as mine even though he should be a knight. He sure grew up in an environment that pampered him. I envy.'
