Chapter 62 Her Vulnerability

Asher's touch was soothing and warm. His lips murmured against my skin but as soon as he whispered the word 'home' something triggered my brain.

The images of my father lying dead in the pool of his blood and the mangled bodies of his comrades swirled in my brain. An uncontrollable darkness swept and blanketed me in its hold, making me lose control.

An ominous voice emerged in my brain, speaking only one word.

'Kill!'

'Kill!'

'Kill!'

I lost all control over myself as the darkness shrouded me for a while and chaos broke out. My consciousness was pushed into the deep crevices of my brain. As the murderous intent took over and I attacked.

A small voice pricked at my consciousness and it grew stronger, trying to bring me out of the darkness I had gotten myself stuck in.

It was like a flicker of light beaming from above and guiding me towards itself. The murderous urges began to be nipped down and I began to gain the control of my body and actions.
