Ch-2
She walked slowly down along the red carpet which was laid out for her to walk upon. As she walked past, all the heads from the vampire race and the werewolf race would turn towards her side.
In general, a werewolf female was meant to be beautiful. But, surprisingly, Adira was even more beautiful than the other females. Maybe it is because she was special compared to these werewolves.
Hooking her hand into her brothers, she walked forwards, hiding the nervousness from everyone. She didn’t want to embarrass the whole werewolf empire just by not being able to walk properly as well as by tripping down. Adira felt so glad that her brother William Maximus was with her. But her smile soon faded when she realized he wouldn’t be with her. Lifting her head, she watched the side profile of his face.
“Smile, Lil Twerp,” he bent down and whispered in her ears, reminding her of the place they were in. Adira lifted her head and looked at the people’s staring eyes. She bent her head slightly and then lifted her head after a split second which was crept with a wide and yet beautiful smile.
Her smooth jade-like skin, delicate features, rosy lips, blushing cheeks, her thin frame, and her bright smile. And the dress she was wearing, fitted her perfectly exposing her curves.
Adira felt like she was being stuffed with all the corset and the layers she was wearing. She was wearing an off-shoulder frock with reached the ground. For every step she took the tail of her gown would sweep the ground. She badly wanted a maid to lift her gown tail. She wondered what made them be not holding it for today.
“Brother,” she called him out.
“I want a maid to help me to hold up the frock,” she whispered in a requesting tone.
“Not now, Twerp. Let the Vampire elders meet you. After that I will make you comfortable,” William assured her.
Adira walked slowly and carefully as if she was walking in the well of snakes. Her heels were not working for her situation. She felt she was carrying 10 to 20 kilograms of weight upon herself.
Meanwhile….
Far away at the main table of the banquet…
A man wearing a black tux looked impatiently at the red carpet. He was forced to marry a werewolf princess. In fact… from what they knew about werewolves they have their mates fixed by the moon-goddess. In their lifetime, they can only love them. If they don’t mate with their destined mate, their inner wolf would be weakened as time passes and would die.
He pitied his soon-to-be wife for it. Well… he didn’t pity his soon-to-be wife’s brother as the rumors say that he was a Lycan.
From what he knew, when his mother died, his father found his second mate which was an extremely rare thing to happen for any werewolf. But as his father was the king of all the werewolf packs he needs a Luna. So, he married his present wife. And it was said that Adira was the daughter of the present Luna, Serene Adolphine. Well, Adolphine is her maiden name. she still carries that name without changing it. Everyone finds it weird but no one has the guts to question her due to the power she holds.
Thinking about her family he realized it has many internal mysteries. He wondered if his wife would be able to cope with them. From what he heard his soon-to-be wife was a prankster and a trickster. Wondering, how she would be mixed with his family, he chuckled lightly.
He stood up from his seat quickly when his subordinate had said that he has gotten an important letter from the Velorine empire. He went along with him and soon read the contents in it. His chocolaty eyes turned red and fangs started growing as he read it.
“Don’t forget who is the king and whose orders you should follow!” He said through his gritted teeth.
Fisting his hand, he tried to suppress his anger but he couldn’t. He walked back to his seat slowly, as he continued to suppress his raging anger.
He realized quickly that he needs to drain someone, to make his anger vanish. He was about to call his subordinate to get a slave to drain her blood from her warm body. But before he was able to call him, he suddenly heard a few gasps. He rapidly followed the line of sight of his men. That’s when he saw her.
His soon-to-be wife. She looked too beautiful to see. He didn’t notice his fangs disappeared and his eyes turned blue from red.
As she walked across the carpet her beauty was complemented by her dress. It had an A-line neck dress with a low cut, that reached her breasts. As it’s off-shoulder it revealed her snow-white skin to the eyes of the men. Her half sleeves made her hands look more slender than usual. The upper part of her dress hugged her body like a ruched bodice. The back of her dress was designed with Tea-length making her back look more beautiful. Men looked at her with awe, a few men stared at her longer than usual which earned an angry growl from William Maximus. Hearing his growl all the werewolf men lowered their heads, seeing this action from werewolves, the vampires quickly understood that they should keep their eyes away from Adira.
Even before when he was engaged to the prime minister’s daughter, he never felt any kind of love or lust for her. But to his soon-to-be wife…. He felt like kidnapping her from here and hiding her from the whole world. He wanted to spend every damn second fucking her and claiming her as his.
Meanwhile….
Adira reached the main table somehow.
“Adira, Your soon-to-be husband,” William said.
“Zaros Orpheus Velorine,” he said walking towards her in his husky voice.
Adira felt her heart skip when she heard his voice ringing in her ears. The next thing he did gave a shock to her death.
Ch-3 Meanwhile Adira reached the main table without stumbling and embarrassing herself. She heaved a sigh of relief. She held on to her brother’s arm for support to stand till she got seated. “I am tired, brother,” Adira pouted at him, like a cute bun. Forgetting the eyes on her. “Let’s end this early and retire. Then you can get rest, okay?” Maximus said to her. “But I am hungry too,” she pouted again. “Let’s feed that little black hole in your stomach to its heart content. So that it won’t be trouble in the middle of that night to the point you have to sneak into the kitchen, okay?” Maximus said.
Ch-4 Adira was about to run away from that place. She thought she could just hide from everyone, using her brother as her shield. But everything is messed up! Can’t she even have a breather from all this? When she took her first step to run, she mistakenly stepped on the tail of her behaviors her eyes, she was sure that she would kiss the ground. She expected that she would fall to the ground from the moment she saw these high heels. She has a habit of wearing eight-inch or ten-inch heels but these were twelve-inch heels. She felt like she was walking on ice, rather than on the red carpet. She already had expected that she would fall to the ground at the start but falling in this situation was too embarrassing. People would say that Werewolf Princess Adira fell for the Vampire King. Not good!
Ch-5 “King Elisaveta… we will take good care of your sister,” an elder said. “I can see how well you are going to take care of her from your current behaviour,” Maximus said. Adira wanted to say something but she shut her mouth. She gripped his hand tightly, hinting for him to stop. Maximus looked at her, their eyes met. Her eyes held a pleading look. He wanted to ruffle her hair, she just looked like a cute puppy. But as much as he loves her… he understands her better than others. She was saying that she was fine and she could bear it. But how could he let her bear it when he was still present. He might not be able to get her justice when she travels to the Vampire Kingdom… but he can protect her and get the justice she deserves when she is w
Ch-6 Lenora’s words shocked everyone in the hall. She not only surprised Werewolves but also Vampires. Ophelia was shocked too. She never thought that her daughter would be this heartless. Maximus smirked at her actions. He could understand what she was trying to say. She was trying to tell her that she was no lesser of a person than her. A beauty with brains was surely trouble and his future wife was exactly that. Ophelia gritted her teeth and kowtowed thrice in front of Adira. “Princess Adira, she is yours to punish if you are still not satisfied,” Lenora said with a gentle smile. Her features softened when she saw the expression on Lenora’s face. She looked gentle, harmless, and in
Ch-7 “Looks like you don’t like crowds, My Lady,” Lenora heard a voice saying to her. Her heart skipped a bit looking at him. “Yes, your highness. I like quiet places,” she answered him. “I can see that,” Maximus said as he tried to control the trembling nerves. His wolf was asking him to claim Lenora as his mate. This thing never happened to him. His first mate died unexpectedly without any reason. There were no leads to find the culprit too. From then, his wolf has always been aggressive and rejected every female who came to him. But, he asked him to claim her. How could a Lycan have a second mate? He needs to go through the Lycan history books or meet a witch. She wore a white dres
Ch-8 Lenora and Maximus returned to the ball. Now, the soon-to-be couples have to dance with their partners for the opening dance. Both men were adorned in black suits. Zaros was adorned with a Charcoal black suit, with his hair partitioned and jelled back showing his beautiful facial features. Maybe because of the royal blood in his veins, he wasn’t sickly pale like the other vampires. He looked handsome. “Would you like to dance with me, My lady?” Zaros asked as he forwarded his hand to her. Adira just smiled at him and forwarded her hand to him. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw him closer which was caught by his sharp ears. A smile formed on his face, when he realized that he was having an effect on her, he felt like he was flying in clouds. His heart leaped in joy. He wanted to laugh, yell and shout but he ke
Ch-9 “What is it, Angel?” Maximus asked. Adira felt like everything was a dream. Was it the reason why she couldn’t find her mate? She was confused. But if she says Zaros was her some people might use that as her advantage and makes her life miserable. But she doesn’t trust anyone as much as she trusted her brother. “Brother,” she ran into his arms and buried herself in his hug. Adira shivered in his hug. Maximus knew something was wrong with her. Whenever she have troubles she would come to him and hug him. If the trouble was big she would shiver. He wondered what kind of problem she was having. Or was she not able to process this marriage thing? Did Zaros do something to his princes
Ch-10 Adira felt someone touching her kissing and caressing her. Opening her eyes, she only saw fluttering curtains in her room. There was no one in her sight. Was that her imagination? Maybe. Or maybe it’s the effect of her wedding jitters. She got up and drank some water before going back to her bed. But sleep was far away from her. All she could think was about her Vampire Husband’s scent and his touches. He wasn’t pale like others. Even his sister looked like a normal human. She wondered what’s the thing with these both brother and sister. They have something different which made her curious about them. Also, she
Ch-118As the battle raged on, Maximus and Zaros fought valiantly against Azazel and Vrykolakas, their movements growing sluggish with exhaustion. Lenora and Adira watched with growing concern, knowing that their companions could not hold out much longer against their formidable foes.Adira, who had been feigning unconsciousness, seized the opportunity to speak with Lenora, her voice urgent with purpose. "I think they need something special to kill them," she whispered, her eyes darting towards the coffin of Lazarus.Lenora nodded, understanding dawning in her eyes. "You're right. Lazarus vowed to kill him. Then it could only mean something related to Lazarus could kill him. If Lazarus could kill Vrykolakas, then there must be something in his coffin that we can use as a weapon.""I'll go get it," Adira volunteered, determination burning in her gaze. As the chaos of battle unfolded around her, Adira's heart clenched with worry for her husband, Zaros, and her brother, Maximus. With eac
Ch-117"Then why have you entertained me till now?" Lenora asked. "Because I wanted to have one last conversation with my granddaughter," he said with a smile. "I regret being his daughter and your granddaughter. How blind was my mother able to be?" Lenora said with hatred in her eyes. "Well, what could I say if your bloodline is obsessed with my sons?" he laughed. Lenora looked at him with hatred. Azazel already started reciting spells. Maximus and Zaros stood outside the hall with anger bubbling in his chest. Even he didn't know why, but when Vrykolakas said that he killed the love of Lazarus, he wanted to rush in and kill him. But Zaros stopped him on time. "Now is not the time. Wait," Zaros said. Inside, Lenora tried to get up, but she was stuck to the ground as if she were under a spell. "Now, your blood and lifeline will make me strong. While your sister-in-law will be my vessel," Vrykolakas said. Lenora could sense her mate mark was gleaming. Which meant her husband was
Ch-116It's the magic globe of Azazel. It fell and broke. Giving a glance, Vrykolakas got back to his story. "Indeed, it is. Women are some mysterious creatures in this world. They knew she wasn't someone who would run away just to escape two men's pursuit. She loved Lazarus. So, both Amdis and Lazarus tried to find the truth about her disappearance. They came to know I locked her in dungeons." he said with a proud smile on his face, which only looked disgusting with his rotten flesh. "The creatures I created turned against me. The eldest was the most rebellious one. But my youngest was angry yet he calmed down. He always acted in the interests of his people rather than his own. He gradually forgot the woman when he found his fated mate. But Amdis rejected his fated mate and brewed a revenge plot. But Lazarus, the calm one, turned out to be the most vicious one." Vrykolakas eyes turned sinister. Among them all, Lenora was scared that his eyeballs would roll out of his body and look
Ch-115Hearing Lenora's words, Azazel felt that it's time to wake up the ancient. He stood up and started chanting spells. A huge array appeared in the air. As Adira grappled with her thoughts, a sudden movement caught her eye. Slowly, almost imperceptibly, the ancient creature in the room began to stir, its grotesque form emerging from the shadows with a sickening slowness.Adira recoiled in horror at the sight before her. The ancient was a ghastly sight to behold, its flesh rotting away to reveal the grisly remnants of its once-human form. Bugs and maggots writhed and squirmed around its decaying body, casting a foul stench that filled the air with the sickly scent of death.Even Lenora, who had maintained a stoic facade in the face of adversity, felt her stomach churn with revulsion at the sight before her. But she forced herself to remain composed, steeling her expression as Azazel rose to his feet and offered his position to the ancient creature.Adira's mind raced as she strugg
Ch-114The room seemed to hold its breath as the energies wrestled for dominance, each seeking to overpower the other in a battle of wills. Sparks flew as the opposing forces collided, casting shadows that danced across the walls like fleeting phantoms. The sound was deafening, a cacophony of crackling energy and echoing reverberations that reverberated through the very foundations of the palace. Every surface trembled in response to the sheer force of their clash, the air thick with the smell of ozone and magic. For a moment, it seemed as though time itself had stopped, the world holding its breath as the two energies locked in a fierce struggle for supremacy. But then, with a sudden burst of light, Lenora's golden energy surged forward, overwhelming Azazel's dark power with its radiant brilliance. The room erupted into chaos as the two energies collided, sending shockwaves rippling through the chamber and shaking the very ground beneath their feet.Adira coughed weakly as the dust e
Ch-113Adira was at her wits end. She can't keep Azazel engaged anymore, given the stunt she pulled earlier. He was wary of her. And not to mention, her energy was depleting like a air leaking out of a balloon. Due to the absence of her wolf, she was very weak. Given with the fact that she fought earlier with Azazel and his lackey, she was weaker than before. She hardly has the energy to move an inch. She slumped on the ground helplessly. "Do you think they can save you? You don't know what was coming before!" Azazel said as he let out a bark of evil laughter. For some reason, his eyes were shining green. "I wonder who your daughter is. I pity her so much," Adira said in her raspy voice. "You will be surprised to know her," Azazel replied mirthfully. Adira felt a foreboding feeling as she looked at him. This man was just as twisted as the dark magic. No wonder he was attracted to the dark magic. Just then... a woman entered the hall. Seeing her, Adira smiled. But soon... it turne
Ch-112Adira's mind raced as she considered her options. She knew she needed to keep Azazel's attention away from the globe, buying time for her family to rescue her. Summoning her courage, she spoke up again. Adira's wolf was in dormant state too. She can't fight him. All she could do was distract him. "You must be quite powerful to have infiltrated my household so easily," she said, her voice steady despite her fear. "But do you really think you can outsmart the King and my family?"Azazel chuckled, a low, chilling sound that echoed through the dimly lit room. "Outsmart them? Oh, my dear, it's not about outsmarting. It's about power and control. And right now, I have both."Adira knew this man had both power and control. The dark magic he practices, his spells, and his position give him everything that can keep everyone in control. Her sister-in-law can kill anyone with a single blow and burn them into ashes. If a vampire can have that much power, this man, who was an undead creatu
Ch-111Adira doesn't know what has happened to her. She was waiting for Lenora to come and have lunch with her. Just then, a maid came to her and informed her, "My Queen, the King, your family, and everyone else are in the study. They are expecting your presence. Would you like to go now and join them or have lunch first?" Adira didn't know that everyone were meeting there. "Alright, I will go over," she replied, standing out. Also, Adira knew there was something happening in both kingdoms. She hated being treated like a kid and didn't know how to handle things. Today, since everyone was there, and she would be crowned queen, she had to let them know she couldn't be treated this way anymore. She actually thought of talking about this after crowning and prove that she was capable too. This was what Lenora said. "You don't have to verbalize everything. But if you did, stand on it whatever it takes. And make sure whatever you do never compromises your self-respect," Her mother, Serene
Ch-110As Zaros, Lenora, and Maximus stepped into the ancient willow tree, they found themselves transported into a realm of forgotten grandeur. Before them stood a vast stone palace, its towering spires reaching towards the heavens like silent sentinels guarding the secrets held within."This seems to be abandoned," Lenora muttered as she drank into the grandeur of the huge abandoned stone palace. There were some scriptures written on the walls of the palace. Just looking at them made her feel scared. She clutched Maximus's hand a bit tightly. Maximus held on to her hand patting her slowly as if saying it's fine he was with her. Despite its apparent abandonment, the palace retained an air of majestic splendor, its walls adorned with intricate carvings depicting scenes of ancient battles and mythical creatures. The air hung heavy with the weight of centuries past, each stone bearing witness to the passage of time."This place is oozing with the evil energy," Zaros said. "Well… it's
