Chapter 1 Snowfield

Where is this?

I opened my eyes in a daze and saw a vast expanse of white.

"Happy birthday, Liu Nian."

Some voices appeared uncontrollably in my mind. Who was speaking?

"Liu Nian, look quickly. Isn't that the senior you like?" This white scene overlapped with the voice in his mind. His head felt like it was being torn apart. Where exactly was this place?

"Liu Nian, what's wrong with you?"

What's wrong with me?

"Liu Nian!"

Following a burst of tinnitus, Liu Nian gasped for breath, and his clenched hands felt soft to the touch.

Liu Nian raised his hand and saw crystal snowflakes blooming in his hand. Could it be snow in his hand?

He staggered to his feet, the only sound he could hear was his own heavy breathing.

Liu Nian touched the snowflakes stuck to her body. The strange and unfamiliar place made her ignore that the snowflakes, which should have been melted by her warm body, were still beautiful.

She was wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts, and should have been shivering in the snow, but she just walked forward as if she felt nothing.

A light brighter than the snow field seemed to flash before his eyes. Liu Nian covered his eyes with his hands, blinked, and looked away.

I don’t know how long I walked, but the pure white snowfield hurt my eyes so much that I couldn’t even see the white color clearly.

"water."

Suddenly hearing a voice that didn't belong to him, Liu Nian didn't know whether he should be happy or scared.

Liu Nian remembered that he should have been on his way to school, but for some reason he suddenly fell into this white snowfield and heard human voices for the first time.

"Is anyone here?" Liu Nian clasped his hands in front of his chest and blinked rapidly because of discomfort.

"Water..." It was a hoarse and unpleasant voice, and it was impossible to tell whether it was a man or a woman.

The voice seemed to be right next to me, but I couldn't see the person.

Liu Nian stretched his legs and took another step forward, but was tripped by something. Before he could feel the pain while lying on the ground, he discovered that there seemed to be something under him.

Liu Nian looked carefully and found that the pure white snow actually covered a person.

Liu Nian struggled to stand up and quickly retreated far away. The man was half covered in snow, with only his delicate collarbone and half of his pale face exposed. It could be vaguely seen that he was a man.

Fear made Liu Nian forget to move, and he sat on the ground trembling.

The man raised his hand, and the snow on his body slid off a little due to his movement, revealing his entire arm.

Liu Nian was struggling internally. Should he save him? How?

Perhaps thinking that if he got closer he might be able to help him, Liu Nian carefully crawled towards the man.

The man's cracked and purple lips opened and closed, as if he wanted to say something.

"Snow…"

"What?" Liu Nian didn't hear clearly. The man seemed to be saying the word "snow", so Liu Nian leaned forward again.

Liu Nian gently brushed away the snow on the man's face, revealing a delicate face.

The man's eyelashes were thick and long, trembling as they expressed his helplessness at the moment, and his deep eye sockets were a little purple.

This exquisite appearance made Liu Nian relax her vigilance a little, so in order to hear the sound, her ear almost touched the man's lips.

"I said, blood!" The sudden loud noise made Liu Nian tremble. Before Liu Nian could react, he suddenly felt dizzy.

Liu Nian only felt a pain in her neck, and she was already lying on the ground. The person who had just spoken weakly and sounded like only breathing was lying on top of her.

Fear filled his whole body. Liu Nian opened his eyes wide in panic, trying to see the person in front of him clearly, but what he saw was indeed an empty sky like a snowy field.

"Ah! Let me go!" Liu Nian screamed, his hands were clamped and he couldn't move.

The man was incredibly strong, pressing down on her body, making her so-called struggles seem ridiculous.

"Let go...of me..." Liu Nian's eyes became blurred, and the man seemed to stand up in confusion. The last memory she had before fainting was the enchanting red in the man's eyes and the low and hoarse voice.

"Pah, it tastes bad"
