Xylan woke up the next morning to the shining rays of the sun which shone brightly on her face.
She yawned slightly as she gently rubbed her eyes trying to look for a way to pull her cutton over her face to protect her face from the schoring sun.
Her hair wasn’t a mess surprisingly because she was expecting some hair to have fallen over her face but her face was feeling very refreshed.
She stood up and then she noticed immediately she was in a car and not her usual relaxing bedroom.
“What?” She exclaimed, hitting herself to be sure she wasn’t dreaming.
She was very demented and didn’t understand what was going on. She sat properly so she could evenly access her environment. She was so surprised to find herself in a car.
It was one of her dad’s cars,he didn’t really use this one and it was his most expensive yet.
“What is going on?” She asked the driver who was keen on the road and acted like everything that was happening back there was none of his concern.
“I am just doing what I was told,to drive you to your new husband and by the way congratulations.” He said and continued driving.
“Don’t congratulate me,I am not getting married to anyone. Turn the car back right now.” She yelled at the driver who didn’t flinch.
“I am sorry but I can’t.” He said plainly and continued driving.
Xylanwas so lost and so confused as she tried to put the uneven puzzles together. It was then she remembered everything that happened yesterday.
About her dad wanting her to get married and she had refused the idea. Her opinion didn’t matter now and Corinne was going to make sure she got the best part of her.
She remembered being in bed all day and now this?
They actually locked her out and we’re taking her to get her married against her will.
“I can’t believe they would do that to me,” She muttered to herself as tears started gathering up at the corner of her eyes.
She was very distressed and tired, she couldn’t cry more as her eyes were already as sore as it could be.
“No,no,no,no,this can’t be happening. I am probably just stressed out and I’m just in a scary dream and nothing more.” She tried to reason to herself but it was obvious this was reality.
They knew she would not want to go willingly so they decided to set her up.
It all didn’t seem real and she didn’t want to believe this was actually happening to her.
Just then she heard her phone ring from the sofa and she picked it up.
“Good morning Xylan. I hope you are doing well?” Her dad said from the other end.
“Dad,what is going on?Is this a joke?I know it is but please stop it. It is not funny and if you want to punish me this should not be the way dad. Tell the driver to bring me back. I am not okay with this and I am not doing well.
Why are you doing this to me?” Xylan pleaded and her voice was already breaking as she tried not to choke on her own tears.
“I told you this is not your decision to make and I have already made up my mind. Good luck with your new life. You would be treated well over there because I got you someone good. Just to disappoint me there too because this is the best I can do for you at this point.”
“Don’t bother trying too hard to get back this your fate just subdued into it peacefully. I will call you after you have arrived there. I have made some arrangements for you which you will see as soon as you get there. The maids have been briefed on how to treat you. You are not to visit at any time you wish.” He said and the call ended without him giving her a chance to say anything.
Throughout the whole conversation his voice was as plain as hell and held no emotion.
It finally dawned on her that she was in fact not hallucinating but her dad actually locked her out.
She finally calmed down but still found it painful that had succeeded in sending her away, into somewhere she doesn’t know, someone she hasn’t seen and into a place she hasn’t seen before.
As they were moving she felt like she was losing her heart, she was far away from home now and she was now closer to the palace.
One was supposed to be overwhelming the feeling of living in a palace but it was quite different for her because she just had to result in her fate.
At this point there was nothing she could do, so she couldn’t go back and her dad had already made up his mind and there was no going back to that.
“Can you at least tell me about where I am going.” She asked the driver who turned to her and smiled.
She felt weird taking to a driver because although she wasn’t proud but this was meant to a quiet journey but she was curious about what she find at the other side.
“Well if I am not mistaken you are getting married to a prince. He’s not the type in movies as people never have good comments to give about him. I don’t really know much about him but I hope this was a little bit helpful.” He said plainly.
That was not enough for her to walk with, she still wanted to know more about that.
“What do you mean he’s not the type of prince in movies?is there something bad about him?” Shs inquired.
“Actually yes, rumors have it he has cold as possible abs he’s not his father’s son. That doesn’t mean he isn’t his biological son but he is really on his father’s bad side most of the time as he is called “The demon”
Caspian is seen in the last large garden space scolding a guard who was on his knees in front of him. “So? You really need to understand that here I answer to no one but myself and if you know you don’t want me to have my eyes on you then shut up.” Caspain retorted to one of his guards. “Yes sir but I don’t mean to offend you. I am simply saying what is written there, please pardon me." The guard tried to explain but he was soon interrupted. “But nothing. If you are sure you want your head where it is, don't question the things that I do.” He said and turned to leave, still leaving the guard in that position. He walked slowly yet firmly back into his room and shut the door behind him. He picked up a paper before him clearly showing its content and shredded it into so many pieces and then threw it away. Caspain knew his father was trying so hard just to suppress him but he made sure to disappoint him by not giving him anything to use against him. Caspain didn’t put any mind on the wedding as he had already planned something big for the wedding and they would bever be able to suspect. He refused his father’s call because he knew he would want to discuss Xylan since she was already on her way. But he had nothing to discuss with him because he warned them to stay off his issue but they were quite persistent. He has made sure to give them a shock they would never forget that would teach them to know their place. The guard went over to tell that Caspain had refused to seek his father’s audience in front of the whole council. “Does he even know why I was calling him?” He roared out. He was angry not only because he tended to disgrace him and in front of the whole council this time around. “I told him you have something important to discuss and he said he might come if he has the tim

Xylan just looked on at Alpha Onyx like she was waiting for the next order, even in her stupefied position and the unwanted marriage preparations, she still didn't wants to mess up. "Its so nice to meet you too." Alpha Onyx offered her an handshake, noticing that she wasn't familiar with the palace and royalty stuffs. "You're mostly welcome." Alpha Onyx greeted again with a smiling face waiting for her to be relaxed. "Your father didn't enlighten me about your beauty. Oh yeah! We didn't actually talked to that extend." Alpha Onyx laughed, although he was just trying to show Xylan that she'll be okay. Xylan felt a little bit relaxed, for the first time in her life, she felt welcomed and wanted but she had learnt to never depend on her present situation. Xylan was unmoved by Alpha Onyx acts but she faked a tight smile. Alpha Onyx led Xylan to the mini sitting room in his chamber, he had it in mind to crystallize Xylan about Caspian. He offered her a seat and a cup of coffee. He sa

Xylan stared at her reflection in the mirror. She was dressed in a white ball gown, which was covered with diamond stone. The gown was back free in the upper side, the magic skirt under the down part of the gown helped the down part to formed a mighty ball shape. Her hair was well dressed after being dyed to pure black, her natural hair was brownish in colour. He

So it was such a shocking sight for the people that attended and to see him in his imperfect nature is something beyond their imag
Xylan slept off inside the bus, she got awoken by the driver when they got to the last bus stop.Xylan woke up, staring at the driver strangely. She required from the driver who he was and what he wanted. The driver had to remind her that she was inside a public bus. He noticed someone in the back, who was not making any attempt to go down, even as they've gotten to the last bus stop, so he came down to check. He told Xylan.Xylan nodded her head and checked her pockets, searching for money to pay for her fee, she gulped hard when she found none. Xylan looked on and searched through her pockets, looking for a lucky cash, even as she remembered that she left no cash inside the pocket, neither did she put any, when she wore it.Xylan stared at the driver and shivered in fright when she noticed how huge and fleshy the driver was. "I'm sorry, I don't have any cash with me."The driver smiled, "no pity here and you cannot owe anybody here, all dept must be paid.""But I am not having any n
Hearing those words the tension grew in the room, xylan knew almost immediately that she was deep kneed in trouble, she needed help. She knew not who there was but they seemed to be really displeased about her existence as a whole, they didn't like the fact that she was alive and they seemed to be so serious about the whole rule of belittling omegas. It took them little or no time for them to begin to chant about her death, luckily for her she had been saved by an alpha but she knows now that she is greatly indebted to him.Having to pay ten fold of what she owed doesn't sit right with her, now he said she should be taken to the cave which sounded more like a cell. All she ever really wanted was to run far away from the pain and hurt she felt, having gotten rejected twice now.First it was her true mate and next it came down to being a man whom she felt was not even up to her standards.Knowing well the pain would only get deeper, xylan could still not put a finger on why she was b
Epilogue"The long awaited day has arrived dear viewers," The female reporter smiled brightly at the camera "We've just been informed that our dear Queen has gone into labor and a little prince is expected soon. The whole world is in anticipation and we're sending our hearts, prayers and heartfelt wishes to the Royal family. We wish the Queen nothing but a safe delivery"Caspian walked back and forth, his eyes darted towards the closed door every now and then. The whole of the chambers was dead quiet save for the constant screams and cries coming from behind the door and the loud thudding of his heart. His heart pounded against his chest so fast, he was sure it was going to explode any moment. He still couldn't believe what was happening— his wife, his queen, his mate was finally in labor.Caspian had waited for this day ever since that night and now that it was finally here, he didn't know why he felt this nervous. A fear nagged at his being, one that refused to go away no matter ho
Xylah sat in front of her dressing mirror, dressed in all white and a veil over her head, a single tear flowed down her cheeks. Today marks the third month after Caspian's day and today, everything was going to change for her. She was getting married, again. And to whom? Sire Onyx himself. Xylah recoiled at the mere thought of marrying Caspian's uncle but she was helpless, just like she was on the night she stabbed Caspian. The whole city had gone into mourning after his body had been found cold the next morning. The cause of death was said to be a stab in the heart with a silver knife. Silver was lethal to all werewolves— it took their lives like it meant nothing.Investigations had been carried out but Sire onyx ofcourse got the case closed. Days passed by and Caspian was soon forgotten, he was but a useless prince after all.Xylah shook away the thoughts and took a long sigh as she's escorted out of the room.' Today was going to be a long day' She thought, clutching the small kni
Xylah slowly made her way to the dinner room flanked by her attendees. It's been days since her meeting with Sire Onyx Xylah had tried really hard to forget all about it but having to see him everyday was a constant reminder on its own. The royal family had this tradition He had given her time and his eyes held the same amount of warning whenever it met hers.Today was no different, the moment Xylah had stepped into the dinning room, her eyes met his Onyx's first. A disapproving look crossed his face. Onyx had already given her the instructions on what to do and was expecting the results for days now. Xylah couldn't bring herself to just do it.She sat in her place at the table, opposite her husband and looked everywhere but at Onyx. She felt his eyes bore into her soul as the kitchen maids serve breakfast. Xylah made it a mental note to eat quickly, excuse herself and hurry out of here before Onyx was done. She didn't want him to trap her like he always did the rest for the day.Ch
You.." Jane growled the moment she reached Xylah."Oh, mothe—" Xylah barely had the chance to complete her words when a heavy slap.lamded on her cheeks, the sound resounded across the entire drawing room. Two amidst who stood there gasped at the same time Xylah did."Mother?" Xylah called out in shock, a hand to her cheek."I am not your mother!" Came Janes harsh growl "Don't u ever call me that you filthy bitch" she barked, the veins on her forehead Popping. Xylah has seen Jane angry so many times but this was the first time she was seeing her like this. She looked mad, almost possessed. She looked up at the maids who stared at them in shock."Leave us" She simply said and they nodded almost immediately before scurrying out of the room. Jane humped "You must be enjoying yourself are you not? You must be so happy after ruining my daughter's life!""But what did I do?" Cykah had no idea why so much anger was being directed at her. she hadn't done a thing."Everything!" Jane yelled and
"Come now, let's go" Ian said finally releasing her from the hug" We don't have much time left as it is"His hands held hers as he pulled her along and of course, Xylah's feet betrayed her, they trotted after him mindlessly as they headed for the door. It was only when she saw him open the door that her heart started to race. She can't do this, she can't go with Ian. His life was already on the line and if they leave like this, then—No, Xylah swallowed. She wanted nothing more than to run as far away from here as possible and start a new life with her mate, of course. But she knew she couldn't do that."I can't come with you!" She used all the strength she had left to scream those words, stopping Ian dead in his tracks. He turned to look at her, his eyes filled with questions."Xylah?" His voice broke as his grip on her loosened. Xylah used that opportunity to free herself."Yes Ian I'm sorry but I can't come with you""But why? Wh–""I don't owe you any explanation" her jaw tighten
Ian stopped on front of Xylah's door, his hands raised as he dropped a soft knock on the door"Xylah?" He called out, his voice even softer "Are you in there?" He asked. It was a stupid question ofcourse, as she most certainly was in there. She couldn't go anywhere else.Moments later, he heard the shuffling of feet and the door being unlocked before it was pulled open, the face of his mate coming into his view. The smile on Ian's face disappeared the moment he saw her."Xylah?" A small frown made it's way up his face. "What's wron—" she didn't let him complete his sentence as she crashed into his arms without warning.Whether or not Ian was taken aback, Xylah didn't know because she felt him wrapped his arms around her a moment later. The familiar sparks were sent running across her body again, it felt like she was electrocuted but not bad electrocuted, electrocuted in a good way. Xylah closed her eyes, it felt oddly comforting. How grateful she was he didn't say anything through ou
Xylah returned to her room devastated after her discussion with Aeon and Raphael. They had given her an ultimatum knowing fully well which one Xylah would pick. With a heavy heart, Xylah obviously ended up picking the latter— to save Ian's life.Xylah would endure anything, but she couldn't tolerate a single scratch on Ian. He was her friend and savior, he had given her a new life, chose to hold her hand when others didn't and above all, Ian was her mate. She couldn't let any injustice come to him when it was her fault after all. The reason they had both snuck out was for her to enjoy some fun time.As she collapsed on her bed , face first, she couldn't hold back all of the tears threatening to fall, all of them came down in a huge stream. Her bedcovers were stained in no time as Xylah cried. She cried and cried, her body racking with powerful sobs yet she didn't even try to stop them. She let herself cry her sorrows away.Xylah couldn't believe how unfortunate she was. Just yesterday
Xylah took a step back, the surprise and shock on her face was evident as she watched the grown up man drool and mumble some incoherent words which she couldn't understand at all. She watched him burst into laughter and pointed at her while an idiot which made her gasp.It looked like she was the only surprised one because the other two men in the room looked ok as if nothing had happened– as if all was just normal to them.Xylah now understood why everyone refered to him as the useless prince. Horror washed over her as she wondered what could've turned such a fine man into something as dreadful as this?He had beautiful ocean blue eyes, accentuated by thick black lashes, a long and perfect nose sat on his face.Xylah could swear she had never seen a finer man all her life. His features were enough to make one drool but he was drooling instead? She watched the prince pick up a piece of salad from one of the bowls on the table and bring it up to his face. He blew on it, then sniffed it
'You're getting married to the prince tomorrow'Those were the only words that kept repeating themselves over Xylah's head as she walked down the long hall leading to the dining room. The hallway she walked in was adorned with gold paintings and intricately carved sculptures and the whole floor was covered with a red carpet, which contrasted with the long dark pink gown she had chosen to wear.On a normal day Xylah would have been looking around, at the paintings and designs curiously and marveling at how beautiful they were but that day was not just today. Her mind was filled with so many thoughts, it was so jumbled up that she had a hard time time knowing what was what.Earlier, she had chosen a pretty decent pink gown and decided to wear it to her meeting with the prince. She allowed her hair to fall down in her natural waves and didn't see it necessary to do any makeup or anything of the sort as she was going to meet the prince.Xylah was just going there to finally see this "pri
