Olivia's POV

My body ached from the kicks and punches Adam had inflicted, but my spirit felt even more battered. Every scream from Alexander sent shivers down my spine, each tear from him a heart-wrenching dagger. We had to hold on, not for ourselves, but for the people we loved.

Looking over at Cassandra, who sat there unfazed, made me think that she was working with Adam.

Adam’s cold laughter echoed through the room, a chilling reminder of his power over us. He yanked me by my hair, forcing me to my feet again. The edge of his blade cold against my throat made me wince, but I steeled myself, focusing on the faces of Liam and Sarah in my mind. My babies needed me. I couldn’t give up.

"Make a choice, Alexander," Adam sneered, tightening his grip on my hair and digging the blade in just enough to draw a small stream of blood. "Cassandra or Olivia. You decide who walks out of here."

Alexander’s chains rattled as he strained against them. "You coward!" he snarled, his voice a guttural g

Olivia's POVAs Alexander stabbed himself in the stomach, I couldn't watch any longer. The sound of the blade tearing through flesh and the sight of blood pouring out made my heart scream in pain. I closed my eyes tight, a flood of tears streaming down my cheeks; I couldn’t lose him. Not like this, the twins needed their father, and even after everything he had put me through, I needed him. I began praying out loud."Please, Moon Goddess, spare him! Please! I love him and can't live without him. Please, hear my plea!"Adam's evil laugh broke through my desperate cries, his voice dripping with venom. "How pathetic, Olivia. Do you really think the Moon Goddess can help him now? None of you will leave here alive. You will all meet your end tonight."My eyes snapped open as Adam approached Alexander, his intent clear in his malevolent gaze. Alexander was barely holding on, his life slipping away with every drop of blood that fell to the floor. Panic surged through me, and I knew I had to

They should have been back by now. I let out a frustrated groan, clenching my fists at my sides. "They should have been back by now," I muttered to myself for the umpteenth time.Lidia's voice broke through my tumultuous thoughts. "Victor, I understand you're worried, but we need to think positively. Olivia is strong, and she's with Ethan. He wouldn't let anything happen to her."I stopped pacing and turned to face her. Part of me knew she was right, but the fear gnawing at my heart wouldn't let me find peace. "You're probably right, Lidia," I conceded, my voice showing a weary edge. "But if they're not back soon, I'm going after them."Without waiting for a response, I slumped into a nearby chair, the weight of my worry pressing down on me like a heavy burden. Alexanders povI spun around to see Adam standing in the doorway, his eyes wide with terror. A masked figure, clad in black, loomed behind him, a knife protruding ruthlessly from Adam's chest. Time seemed to slow as Adam crumpled to the ground, his lifeless body blocking the entrance. Olivia gasped, her hand flying to her mouth. "Alexander, who is that?" she whispered, her voice trembling. "Stay behind me," I commanded, gently setting Olivia down and stepping forward, my body poised to protect her at all costs. Their eyes, visible through the slits of the mask, bore into mine with an intensity that made my blood run cold. For a moment, neither of us moved, like two predators sizing each other up. Alexander's grip tightened around me, protective and unwavering, but the weight of uncertainty pressed down relentlessly. Cassandra followed closely, her steps silent but her presence loud in the back of my mind. Every time I glanced at her, a gnawing suspicion grew stronger. How could she have shown no fear amidst all this chaos?Everything screamed at me that Cassandra had been working with Adam, and there was no way I would let her get away with it. She needed to be stopped before she hurt anyone else. I wanted to tell Alexander right then and there, but I knew that now wasn’t the time. So I pushed the thought down and told myself that I would tell him everything I knew as soon as we found Reed and Ethan

Victor's POV The forest air was thick with tension, each breath tasting of fear and pine. My heart pounded fiercely in my chest as I followed Olivia's scent, an unnerving dread twisting in my gut. I moved swiftly, the pads of my paws sinking into the damp earth with every step. Olivia's scent grew stronger, pulling me deeper into the forest. I prayed silently, begging the Moon Goddess for her safety. Going alone was a risk, but I couldn’t afford to leave Lidia and the twins unguarded back at the hotel. The thought of them helpless if something went wrong gnawed at me, so here I was—alone. The scent was leading me toward an old, decrepit building. It stood hauntingly against the backdrop of towering trees, its walls cracked and windows shattered. I shifted back to my human form, ignoring the rush of cold air against my skin. Picking out a worn pair of shorts from my emergency pack strapped to my leg, I slipped into them for the sake of decency. A faint light glowed from one of the
