Leonard hurriedly stepped closer to Elena's condo. She was crying when she called him. He was already in front of it, and he immediately opened it.
When he had already opened it, he saw Elena sits in the dining chair with food, drinks, and candlelight ready on the table.
"Surprised," Elena grinned as she said.
Leonard frowned at what he discovered. He couldn't believe he left his wife confined to the hospital to give in to his girlfriend's unsubstantiated complaint.
Elena noticed that her boyfriend didn't seem happy with the surprise she prepared. She felt sad. "Why do you seem mad? Aren't you happy that I surprised you? I'm making an effort for you, but you don't seem to appreciate it anymore." She said in disappointment.
