Chapter:02: Drugged:

HUMAN MATE:02:

"What are you doing Vera ?" Lucia 

asks her best friend.

Vera smirks and continues mixing

Some powder into one of the glasses of

whiskey.

“Vera" Lucia snaps at her best friend 

impatiently.

"Relax girl. It's just a drug to make my position as Andrew Glyndon's mate”

Vera signals for a waiter. 

As soon the human waiter arrives, she

looks straight into his eyes and

hypnotizes him to do as she said and forget everything soon after.

“Give this whiskey only to Andrew Glyndon

," Vera commands the waiter, who is under her control.

Both Victor and Lucia panic at what she is about to do.

"Andrew will kill you if he finds out” Victor

warns his sister.

"Relax brother, 'if he finds out. Which he

never will. He can never find out what I find"  Vera says smugly.

Vera  and Victor are the step-siblings

of Andrew Glyndon. Their mother and

Andrew's father Robert Glyndon married

each other a few decades ago, when

Robert's mate died.

“what is that you mixed in his drink?"

Lucia asks her best friend, fear evident in her voice.

“A drug which will boost his sexual

desire. Only sleeping with a female will

satisfy him and nothing else will” Vera said with excitement.

"You mean, you want to sleep with him

and become his mate? Vera gaped at

his sister with shock.

“Yes, as mom did, I will become the

most envied woman in the world and the

most powerful. Moreover, I am obsessed

with Andrew. Only he didn't reciprocate my

feelings” Vera said with a cunning

Smirk.

“I am scared sister"  Victor gulped with

fear.

“Don't worry, after tonight, I will be his

mate and you two will hold power over the Wolf clan" Vera assured her

brother.

Andrew is a very cruel and the most

powerful werewolf. Very few saw him in

person and only a couple of them saw his

wolf form. He is cold and ruthless. The

Glyndon's are the most powerful and

rich werewolves in the world.

They can make or break any government

with just a look. Andrew Glyndon is the

CEO of the Glyndon group, which is a

leading company worldwide. With its

various business ventures in oils, gold

and diamond mines, constructions,

gaming, software, entertainment, and

whatnot. They monopolized the business

world single-handedly.

Nothing happens within the trade market

Scene without Andrew knowing about it

and deciding it himself. He is as

handsome as he is cold. He is as powerful

as he is handsome.

 The whole female wolf population is vying

for his attention. But he fancied no one

till date. They are too scared to approach him themselves. There was only one person who had the nerves to get close to him, she is girlfriend and fuck mate, Charmaine Quin.

“But Vera, have you forgotten already?” Lucia retracted her gaze from the direction of where Andrew was standing and turned to face Vera.“Even if Andrew fails to find out about it, Charmaine cannot be fooled by anyone. She won't spare you if she learns about this”  Lucia seems very worried at this point.

   “I told you, right? Don't worry, I will have to take care of her soon enough. She's been getting in my way for too long. If she has his favors then I will have his baby. What's better than an heir?” Vera said with a crushed expression with her hands fisted.  “After I get pregnant, I will have her banished from the pack. Moreover, no one knows who the Alpha's mate is.”

“I know that, but we still have to wait for the full moon night to ascertain the truth. She might end up being his destined mate. Moreover, she's found favor in the Alpha's eyes, Andrew loves her”. Lucia said with fear in her eyes.

   “All that will change in a little while. Just wait and watch”  Vera exclaimed with determination. Then, she turned her gaze toward Andrew.

Andrew Glyndon looked around the big

banquet, which is decorated with

expensive and rare flowers. If it's not for

his father, he wouldn't have agreed to

this meaningless party hosted by his

stepmother on the occasion of their 

wedding anniversary.

He didn't fancy this place as well as the people in this place. 

"Don't look so enthusiastic??????" Adonis said

from beside him with amusement.

Adonis is Andrew's childhood best friend and his right man.

Andrew snorted in reply.

"How charming" Adonis commented

drily.

A waiter approached Andrew with a whisky.

"Sir," he extended the tray forward,

towards him

"I didn't order this," Andrew said coldly.

But there is no change in the waiter's

expression.

“Take it, man. Your dad must have sent it

for you"  Adonis persuaded Andrew.

Upon hearing his father's name, Andrew 

reluctantly took the drink from the waiter.

“Cheers," Adonis said and sipped his

drink.

Andrew shook his head and sipped his

whiskey as well. After a few sips, Andrew

started to feel hot. He frowned his

eyebrows with confusion. But masked his

expression after a split second.

"What's the wrong man? Adonis inquired

upon noticing his friend's strange

behavior.

"I will be back" Andrew left the venue

which was a 7-star hotel. He reached the

elevator in just a few seconds and struggled with his wolf, which was fighting to shift into its wolf. He kept fighting as he rushed toward his room.

Vera closely followed Andrew, not to

miss the opportunity she created for

herself. When she noticed Andrew scurrying away in hurry, Vera too followed suit.

Diana had just arrived at the hotel. She went straight to the pitch, where Mrs. Webster was waiting for her.

As soon as Mrs. Webster saw her, she began to nag at her bitterly.

“Why have you come so late? Do you think, this is your mother's house that you come and go at will?”  She held her waist and nagged.

She seems to be in a bad mood– upon seeing how agigated she looks , Diana knew that she was in for another round of nagging. Although, Ms. Webster always nags at her but she doesn't do it all the time and definitely not as angry as she looks right now.

Diana then thought that she must be under a lot of pressure because of the party at the hotel tonight. So, she decided to calm her down.

  “I'm sorry, Miss Webster. I promise, it won't happen again”. Diana apologized.

“You come so late and end up doing nothing at all, still your greedy mother will come around demanding a huge wage from me” 

  “It's all my fault, Miss Webster” 

“I never said, it wasn't your fault, did I? Of course, it's all your fault!” 

    “I will accept my punishment. Just tell me what to do”  Diana begged with narrowed eyes.

She was afraid that Ms. Webster might send her back home without any money. If that happens , then she might as well kiss her breakfast , lunch and dinner goodbye for three days and night.

“Mrs. Webster, the guests are demanding for the golden moringa leave”  

Just then, one of the workers rushed into the kitchen with a perturbed expression.

  “And why don't you go ahead and serve them?” Mrs. Webster asked, already getting annoyed.

“Well, that's the problem! We don't have any more of them in the hotel”  Anna said.

“What!? How did that happen? Why didn't you send someone over to go get them before the night came? How am I supposed to serve the guests and avoid complaints now? Why don't you try serving them something else instead?”

  “Well, they are insisting on having the golden moringa leave. They won't be persuaded” 

“It's so late. Who's going to go?” Mrs. Webster panicked as she bit her finger worriedly. “Y-You can!” She suddenly recalled that Diana was standing beside her.

“M-Me?” Diana was stunned.

 “Yes, you. Hurry up and go get the Golden Moringa leaves” She instructed without looking at the shocked expressions being thrown at her.“You better come back on time, otherwise, you will be the one to persuade the guests if they end up getting mad” She looked at her wrist to check the time. 

 “But Miss Webster it's so.....”  Anna was about to challenge her decision to send Disna into the forest in search of the golden moringa leave, when Ms. Webster shot a dangerous glance at her, shutting her up midway.

     “Go back to work or you'll join her”  She flared up.

 Without saying a word, Diana simply turned around and left in search of the leaves.
