“You’re fine. I just don’t want Walker to hear about this. He knows what we are but he doesn’t know the difference between being in a pack and a rogue.” I tell them as the timer goes off on the oven. I pop the door open and grab an oven mitt taking the pan out of the oven. I turn the bread over and add the shredded cheese on top and put it back in the oven for the remainder of the time.
“We will get on a better subject then.” Blake said going to stand by Nora and putting his arm around her waist. I watch as the two of them look lovingly in each other’s eyes before Bailey clears her throat and breaks them out of their own little world.
“How long have you two been together anyways?” I ask Blake and Nora.
“We found each other the day we left the pack. She was part of the group that we got out in time before the extermination process started.”
“Oh wow. That’s horrible but so s
“Ok?” I said not understanding.“Since Liam and I are both Gamma’s from our old pack we don’t know who is an Luna unless they tell us, like you just did. We just get drawn to them. Want to protect them like family should. Gamma’s are pretty much a Luna’s body guard.” Blake tells me.Wow. Maybe that explains why I feel drawn to them too.“How does that work though because my other mate is a Delta? I shouldn’t need protection with two.” I asked them before thinking. I never did tell them I had two mates. I just told them I was mated.“Wait. You have two mates?” Bailey asked confused.I sigh. “Yes. Alpha was my first mate but once everything started the moon goddess blessed me with the Delta also because of a war that was supposed to be coming. I needed protection from them and also their help. She blessed them with a few abilities.Whether or not they still hav
*“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to but no. We will not allow you to go there without us! If something happened to you and we weren’t there to protect you, you know how guilty we would feel?” She asked with tears in her eyes.“She is right Evey. You can’t go by yourself. You said it yourself that your wolf has been dormant and you don’t really have powers anymore, so we need to be there with you.” Liam said with finality.I sigh knowing I can’t get out of this. “Fine but I don’t know how they will react to me being there let alone four rogues, a child and a human. Well, Sophia probably not so much since they have opened pack lands to humans for the shopping district. Or it was open the last time I was there.” I tell them.“Ok good. Now on to your questions. Call Sophia and ask her to come over. It will be easier if she was here that way if she has any questions she can ask and we can an
“So, to go in to detail, the Alpha is the leader of the pack and his right-hand man is his Beta. His Beta’s duties include helping in battle and prisoner questioning. The Beta is also the one who promotes warriors and trains them or delegates those task to Head Warriors.” Bailey spoke.I nod my head in understanding as I feel Sophia scoot closer to me on the couch and grab my hand excitedly.“Delta’s are the strategic ones. They strategize war tactics, plan ambushes, send out scouts to scope out our enemies. They also train the scouts and hunters. It’s a huge honor to be chosen. Very few have ever made it all the way. They are the only ranked member who doesn’t get their position handed to them. Just because someone’s father is a Delta doesn’t mean they will be. They are made not born that way.” Nora said dreamily. I wonder if that’s what she always wanted to become.“Gamma’s are the l
Walker I’ve had a great day today. At school we learned about circles and the color blue. We learned how to write the letter L and the number 12. It was exciting. I love learning new things. On some subjects I’m a lot better than others. In others I have a hard time but I am getting there.I’m getting better every day. I’ve had fun with my friends all day. I can’t wait to get home though. My family is coming over for dinner. For the longest time it’s just been me and mom and Aunt Sophia but now it’s us, Liam, Bailey, Blake and Nora. My family.I’m surprised to see Aunt Sophia pick me up after school and take me home. She explained that my mom had a last-minute customer and that was why she picked me up. Mom always lets me come to the studio after school though so I don’t know why she didn’t today. Oh well, at least here it’s a bit comfier and I get snacks!I don’t know how long I was here but I hear someone knock on the door and Aunt Sophia goes to open it. I hear moms voice so I dro
Dream“Mom!” I giggle as mom chases after me. She is chasing me around this big yard trying to tickle me. She keeps telling me the tickle monster is going to get me. I’m trying hard to not get caught by her. I run as fast as my legs will carry me. I squeal as someone grabs me and tosses me in to the air. The person catches me and tosses me again but this time another person catches me. I can tell they are boys just by the way they look. They are very tall because when I look at the ground I’m really high up in the air. Plus, they toss me really high up. I can’t see their faces but they feel familiar. Like how my family feels to me but I don’t think I know them. I haven’t met any boys other than Uncle Liam and Uncle Blake. I see one of them talking to mom and the other one is carrying me on their shoulders. It’s fun up here. I look around and notice so many cool wolves running around. I see gray, black, brownish, black and white, black and gray. A lot of them. I wonder if I could pet
Grey I’m running patrols like normal. The day is beautiful and the trees blocking the sun rays helps keep me cool as I run the perimeter. There has been nothing out of the ordinary for the past year but we keep up the patrols just in case.I don’t know what happened to the huge threat we heard about but we are not taking any chances. If we ever get Everleigh back we want it to be safe for her. We have taken every precaution we can think of to make sure the past doesn’t repeat itself. When my patrol is over I nod to the warriors who are about to take over and link them letting them know there was nothing out of the ordinary. Even though I’m exhausted and want to go home to bed I can’t.There is a nagging feeling in me so I take a run to hopefully get rid of it. It might be nerves or something for the upcoming mission Zay and I are going on in the next few days.I find our field and walk to my favorite tree and lay down. It’s a beautiful cherry tree in full bloom. The subtle scent it
My head whips in the direction of the little boy and he giggles. Why is he acting like he knows me?“This here is my friend Snowy. I don’t know if you remember her. She protects me from the bad people just like my mommy does.” The little boy said while putting his small hand on the top of her head and running it through her fur. It finally clicks. My other dreams. I’ve had a few others that include this boy but I don’t remember any with this other wolf. Usually, Zay’s wolf is with me. Remembering this I look around to see if he was here too. When I don’t see him I look back to the boy. I notice he has gotten closer to me. “Chocolate can we go for a run?” He asked me with a smile. I give him my best wolfie smile and nod my head. He whoops and hollers before coming the rest of the way to me. I lay on the ground so he can climb on my back. He is still a bit small
Zayden. There is a feeling inside me that I have been getting for the last few years that makes it feel like there is something missing. Like a piece of me is gone. It might just be the mate bond and me missing Everleigh but it feels different. I don’t know what it is but it keeps getting stronger. Grey and I never accepted her rejection of us and we won’t until we get the chance to talk to her. That chance is coming soon.We are in on our pack plane flying from Missouri to Georgia to meet up with the warriors. We have a plan set that we need to go over before everything is in motion. They told me that they watched her go in to a photography studio yesterday. They don’t know what she was doing there but just that one of the women who owned it rushed off to meet a school bus to get a little boy off while the other stayed and talked to her. They said there was something oddly familiar about the other owner but
“I can and I will. You have messed with the wrong person in life. I am done being a stepping stone. When all of this is said and done I WILL have my mates back and this time no one will get in between us.” I tell her looking her in the eyes. I see the fire in them die a little as she stares at me knowing I’m not joking.“Just kill me because when I get out of here I will come for you.” She spits at me.“Na. Just go to sleep and don’t wake back up until I get back.” I tell her as my eyes turn black. She looks in to my eyes and I know it’s working. Her eyes start to drop and her body starts relaxing. I let go of her hair and let her fall before stepping back. I turn around and see the shocked looks on everyone’s face.“What was that?” Blake asked me.“I honestly don’t know.” I said shrugging my shoulders as Evan let me out of the cell before walking himself. He picks E
The wolf looks up to me with the most gorgeous silver eyes. It blinks at me before answering. “My name is Snow.” She says in my head. I nod at it looking around at everyone else and see the shocked looks on their faces.“It’s nice to meet you Snow. Can you tell me what is happening?” I asked her.“Yes my Queen. I haven’t shifted in years. I refused to after she started going to the Master. I wanted nothing to do with it. I told her not to but after our mate died nothing else mattered. Master promised all the followers power, land, wealth and freedom from all the regulations we all have to adhere to being in the supernatural world. He wants to make the humans slaves and all us supernatural beings superior in all ways. He wants to take over the world.”“Wow. That’s a lot to take in.” Dawn says.“He wants complete and total control over everything. He wants to be King.”&ldq
“Why have I been brought here and being treated like a criminal?” She demands standing up. “I have done nothing to deserve this.”“We beg to differ Eve.” I say to her letting go of Desi’s hand and slowly walking closer to the cell.“You have no say here you conniving little bitch.” Eve spits out. “If it wasn’t for you, Jayden wouldn’t be in this predicament. He would be by my side ridding the world of trash like the lot of you!” She screeched trying to reach through the silver bars to get to me. She yelps at the at the burn that is happening on her arms but yet she can’t seem to pull them back soon enough.“So, you are working with the one who is wreaking havoc on the supernatural world?” I said and looked at the others. “We figured so but we couldn’t prove it until now.” I tell her turning back to look at her face.“You can’t prov
Everleigh“Ma’am.” I say walking up to her. She turns towards me and smiles.“Ms. Everleigh. It’s so good to see you again. I never did get to formally introduce myself when you were here before. I am the head omega Helga.”“Hello Helga. It’s nice to meet you. Can you please mind link Beta Dawn please and tell her that Desi and I are going to the dungeon?” I ask her.She nods her head as her eyes cloud over. It takes a few seconds before they start to clear.“She said to wait a few minutes and they will all go with you.” She tells me with a smile before it drops. “How is your friend? The one who go hurt?”Shock went through my system at her question. I didn’t think anyone knew about that. We tried to keep it on the down low of who it was and what happened.“He is doing better. They say he should be waking up any time now.” I tell her skeptically.“Good. I’m glad to hear that. I told Warrior Bronston about the weird new guy who was in the kitchen that day but I haven’t even heard whisp
“Felix.” Desi said with tears starting to form in her eyes. “How do you know your daddy is in the sky?”“He told me mommy. He visits my dreams. He told me to tell you he loves you no matter what and he doesn’t blame you for what happened.” Felix said reaching up and cupping Desi’s cheek as she silently cries for her mate. She grabs ahold of Felix and wraps him in a hug burying her face in his neck. He wraps his small arms around her neck and holds on tight.“It’s ok momma. He said he is happy and watching over us. He is waiting for the day he will see us again.” I hear Felix whisper to her.“How do you know baby?” She asked in a barely audible whisper.“I see him in my dreams momma. I just said that silly. He said he would visit you but he doesn’t want you hurting.”The only way to tell Desi is crying is the shake of her shoulders. She has silent
“Yes! We can do it but we have to practice a lot and learn everything we can.” Walker tells him.As we get closer to the training field the boy’s excitement grows even more as they see the training happening in real time by warriors. The run over to the edge of the field and watch the warriors practice. They talk about how awesome these guys are and how they can’t wait to be like them. Someone walks up next to us and laughs at the boys antics.“You should see our Alpha during training. He would put these warriors to shame.” He says to the boys watching the warriors still.“No way!” Felix mutters never taking his eyes off of the action.“Our Alpha has taught all of us how to fight and be better at it. His father did the same thing. They train what is called a lead warrior and that warrior trains all of the other warriors. When the Alpha learns something new he shows us all how to do it too.” He te
“Isn’t it though Soph. These people are after me for some unknown reason. Whether it’s to kill me or take me as a mate. Someone has been after me since I showed up here. I think the reason I’m not dead yet is because either Zayden or Grey is the one who always brought me food and when I was by myself I got my own food not wanting anyone to know where I was.” I whisper to her. I don’t care who hears me when I say how I feel. I know this is all my fault. Maybe I should have died when I was younger. Then we wouldn’t be having this many issues in the present.“Don’t you ever say that Everleigh. Those men loved you. If it wasn’t for me starting stuff then we wouldn’t be in this situation.” Desi said looking at me.“It’s not all on you though Desi. If there wasn’t any hesitancy in their mind then a spell shouldn’t have worked.” I tell her.“I’m sorry.&rdqu
EverleighI wrap my arm around Remy’s shoulders and chuckle. I understand noticing a cute guy when no one else does.“You’re good Remy. Glad you noticed. Can you picture him and let me see what he looks like?” I asked looking at him. He nods his head. I let his shoulders go as I bring my hands up to his head and see the picture of the man he was talking about. Why does he look familiar? While I still have my hands on his head I ask if he can picture the guy from any other time he noticed him. I watch as the pictures in his head start to change slowly. One picture shows the guy standing by the forest in the shadows watching the guys train, him in the shadows watching a pack meeting, I watch as the pictures change a few more times before I tell Remy to stop on the one he is thinking of. I stare at his memory of this guy talking to a cloaked figure out in the forest. I let go of Remy’s head and let my hands fall to my sides. When I open my eyes everyone is looking at me but Remy’s worrie
“This is my idea for the rescue. With not knowing how many of the witches would be willing to help out I estimated two to each group. The vampires that will be helping out from my coven will add an extra ten to each group. I like the idea of three groups going in.Since these two lands boarder each other our best bet would be to attack from the North, East and South of White Fang. The other group will attack from the North, South, and West of Black Lake. The groups on the East and West sides will cause a distraction to get as many rogues and warriors to those sides as possible.”He looks around at everyone and nods before continuing. “While the distraction is happening the two groups on the North and South sides will advance inwards. Those two groups will break in to two more groups. The first group will fight and keep the other group covered so they can go in and get the kids out. But the problem is how will we get the kids to safety when we g
