Agatha's POV

I stared at Bella for the millionth time since today as she kept eating from her meal quietly.

“Aren't you going to say anything?” I broke the silence with a question, and she gazed up at me.

“Why did you fire the maid?” She retorted with a question.

I scoffed before drinking from my juice. “Is that what has been bothering you?”

“You terminated her employment for no reason, Agatha. If your Dad returns and gets to know of her disappearance, he might rage on me.” She complained gruffly.

“Didn't you hear how she spoke to you? She is a mere maid, and she deserves to be laid off.” She replied with a sigh. “Dad won't make it a big deal if we lied that Raven left by herself and without me terminating her employment. That way, he won't get mad at you.” I added, and I saw her sigh in relief.

“If that's it. But still, you shouldn't have fired her. Perhaps it was a misunderstanding which could have been settled.”
