GIVEON’s POV

I had spent an hour traveling to Brielle’s pack and confirming that her papa was really sick. After all, despite how much she had talked about her ‘hometown’ to Anya, I was unwilling to believe they cared about her like I did.

Not in three years had any of them tried to pay her a visit or check how she was doing.

And so the moment Anya called me to tell me about her plans to travel, the first thing I did was confirm that it was no trap.

After that, I had come back to help us pack, her papa’s wound was deadly and needed a highly skilled witch.

Yet, the moment she came, I was met with her cold reception again.

How baldly had she been hurt by being banished that she wouldn’t dare to trust me?

But the moment I lashed out, I regretted it.

I regretted showing her the side of me that wasn’t meant for her.

The side of me that was meant for my enemies, our enemies.

“I…I’m sorry,” Brielle said weakly, her voice soft and hoarse from me pressing down on her neck tigh

BRIELLE’s POV True to his words, Giveon gave me a little over an hour even after I was done eating. Since traveling with him was going to make up for the time I would have spent walking, I didn’t say a word. There was so much I was trying to process with my thoughts and with my heart. Usually, my wolf would have a better understanding but after years of shunning Roxy, in this moment that I needed her, she was dead to me. No matter how much I had called her to explain what was happening. Why had it felt like my soul had reached out with that of Giveon earlier? Did I have some mate that I had no idea about. It was all so frightening to me. After all, interracial relationships were shunned in our world. To be specific, wolves would not mate with anyone else, anyone that did that would have to face being rejected by their pack and being lone wolves for the rest of their lives. After all, the moon goddess had granted us mates because she wanted us to keep the bloodline between

BRIELLE’s POV Thankfully, Ava came out before we had gone too far. “It’s not that easy to leave without Nathan and Kayleb knowing anything” she explained and I nodded in understanding. Our first time meeting in three years… yet, neither of us could focus on the joy of reuniting as things were different. We were reuniting when papa was on the death bed. Thankfully, not long after, Giveon’s driver showed up. It was a different car this time and this one looked like it was more suitable for the rocky and steep terrain that our pack was located. My eyes shifted to Giveon who even though had been carrying papa for close to thirty minutes, his face had no hint of exhaustion or any sweat. All through today, I had seen how good he was at paying attention to details. As soon as he placed dad in the car back seat, he turned to Ava. “Stay in the middle with him in case of any emergency,” after that, he pulled me to the back seat while Ava sat with papa in the middle. To have a ca

BRIELLE’s POV I guess I had either been too worried or the moon goddess had heard my prayers as Ava walked towards me with pursed lips. “You look like you are already mourning him,” she said softly as she settled on the ground beside me. For the first time, I had a good look at her face. It was almost the same. Yet, I felt like I could see the growth that came from being a mother on her. Her body was a little bigger than I remembered but I guess maybe that came from growth or maybe the child birth, but child birth hardly left it’s mark on us shifters. “I don’t dare, I was just done threatening the moon goddess that she dares not take him away from me,” I said with a wry smile and watched as Ava burst into laughter. “You now go the unconventional way,” she said and then placed her hand on my leg. “I had to grow up,” I confessed, which I also took as a silent agreement. “You had no choice,” The mood became a little sour but it wasn’t awkward or uncomfortable which I was grat

BRIELLE's POV However, just before I could reply, Giveon walked over and wrapped his hands around my shoulders. “I got a place where you guys can sit and watch TV while you wait for the doctor to do her thing, come along, I’ll lead you there,” he said warmly and without even giving me a chance pulled me along with him while Ava and his assistant followed behind. “You came at such a convenient time huh?” I asked after he had pulled us far away from the other two. Unlike Giveon that could hear anything from a mile away, shifters had sharper nostrils and not hearing. So I was sure that Ava wouldn’t. “I knew you were going to notice “ he turned to look at me, eyes brimming with adoration that I had no choice than to cough with how intense his eyes were. were. I was falling very fast into emotions that I hadn’t planned myself to get into. “Are you going to talk?” I said, as I felt uncomfortable under his intense gaze. “I don’t trust your friend so for the safety of this people

GIVEON’s POV It was hard to believe, and every minute, I’ll glance over at him to be sure that she was right here and willing to be by my side. More importantly, she had actually listened when I told her to not trust her friend, Ava. After watching Brielle for more than three years, I knew more than anyone how stubborn she was deep down in her bones. Also, she held her papa and Ava who she had come to see as a sister in the highest regard. I didn’t dare to think that she would accept me that easily. Although I understood that right now, her mind wasn’t as settled with everything happening, there was also the part of our souls reaching out earlier back in her house. I tucked my thoughts away as I watched her and Ava sit together and try to make small conversation. “You don’t have to be so obvious if you are trying to keep you both a secret from her friend,” Anya’s familiar voice rang out and my eyes narrowed as I looked at her watching how I was gazing at Brielle. “It’s i

  • The Unclaimed Luna   Chapter 28: Investigating

HUXLEY’s POV “Any news?” I asked as Kane entered into my office back. It had been about three hours since Brielle came over and claimed her papa was sick and on the brink of death. Although John had relinquished his rights as an elder, he was still very much one of the strongest wolves that we had in my pack. This meant that if anything of such a level happened to him, I had first hand right to know. “There’s nothing yet,” he said with a low brow and his response made my heart become heavier. “Check again, it’s either no one knows or someone knows and it’s being covered up deliberately,” I ordered, however, instead of dashing off, he bowed his head lower. “Master, is it possible that Miss Levine is lying, perhaps she had another emergency,” Kane said softly, as if afraid he would mis-speak. There was the possibility of that happening, I was sure, but I was also certain of what I had seen in Brielle’s eyes. Her eyes had pure fear and worry in them when she had come this mor

  • The Unclaimed Luna   Chapter 29: I knew You Would Make It

BRIELLE’s POV The first hour of waiting wasn’t much of a big deal, I and Ava had spent time talking and playing catch up. It was nice to hear all about Kaleb and Nathan. The three of them were a beautiful family, but I felt that some part of her stories didn’t add up. Although her mother in law sounded like someone was disagreeable, she listened to Nathan which meant that if Ava wasn’t being bullied by Nathan, his mother shouldn’t. It was all hard to take in and pull apart. Perhaps, if I wasn’t so concerned about papa, I might have tried to find out more, but at this point, all I wanted to know was that papa was okay. “If papa makes it through this, I think him coming to live with me might be a better option, at least, I get to take care of him without being worried,” I said breaking the momentary silence that had built up. “That’s okay, he might even like it, he kept on calling for you the whole time that he was sick,” she said with a nonchalant shrug. It was almost like it w

BRIELLE’s POV Papa still looked as he had before we came here, he was still as pale as before and his eyes, however now open, were sunken and tired. As soon as I saw him, I couldn’t help myself from bursting into tears and I ran into his embrace. “He’s still weak, you might want to be careful,” Selina who looked tired and a lot less domineering that when we had seen her this morning was seated in a corner of the room. I had no idea what her healing methods were but whatever it was had clearly taken a toll on her. “Thank you so much, ma’am. I’ll do anything you request of me to repay this favor,” I said solemnly and I flushed red when she chuckled and leaned forward to look me in the eyes. “Any demand I make of you would be simply bullying you, just don’t push him, he’s still recovering,” after saying that, she stood up and left the room. “Elle,” papa called out, a nickname that was reserved for only him and my late dad. “Papa…I’m so sorry…” I moved closer to him and held

Because of that, I have given up drinking tor now. I won't be doing anything that could hinder my chances of getting pregnant. "So? How is it going with Peter?" I asked Eva. Eva sighed when I brought up her new mate, who had been chasing her for a few months now. After I killed Nathan, Eva slipped into depression. There was nothing that I could do to snap her out of it. She was done for a few months. She really loved Peter, and then he went and did that to her, it was understandable that she was sad.A few months later, she finally snapped out of it and started to live her life again. He said trying to calm her down and also trying to calm himself."What do I have to understand?! That you want to kill my best friend?! You want to murder Brielle and you want me to calm down?" Eva asked. There was raw pain in her voice and I did not want to watch this. "Eva. You have to understand that Brielle is a threat to us all and I am the only one who can eliminate that threat right now." Nathan said still maintaining that calm tone."What?!" She snapped. "A threat? Are you even listening to yourself?" I know Eva. I know how much she loves Nathan. She's probably trying to tell herself that he must have been brainwashed. And that is why I am here. To make sure she doesn't fall for his lies!"If you love me, you won't do this Nathan." She whispered to him and I knew it was my cue to step in. I can let her be fooled by this man again. "Please

I saw red and handed my baby to the midwife.I trusted her and she froze feeling honored. The maid was startled by my firmness. It seemed like she was expecting me to be completely weak but it was her loss for expecting that. I raced towards her, grabbed her neck, and slammed my forehead against hers, then grabbed the dagger she was holding and shoved it into her neckAs her body fell to the ground, I rushed outside to see strong men heading to my chamber. They were stunned to see me stained with blood and looking as insane as ever."You fools!" I screamed at them. They were not going to touch my child! Not while I was aliveI ran towards them, killing them with breaking a sweat and they all led me to the throne room. CHAPTER 188 BRIELLE I was pacing up and down in my room waiting for Huxley to come back. Giveon was in the room with me. "I think that you need to calm down. You aren't going to get anything out of it if you keep panicking like this. I think that he's strong enough to handle the elders now" Giveon told me. "You think that I don't want to believe that? I want to believe that nothing will go wrong too but I don't know what I am supposed to trust anymore. I feel like things are about to get so out of hand!" I told Giveon. "But this is what you want right? This is what you've always wanted. You said that this would draw them out of their hiding place. Seriously, we wouldn't be doing this if this wasn't your plan!" Giveon said. I sighed. "I know ...I guess that it must be my pregnancy messing with my emotions. I don't even know what's wrong with me anymore. I don't know what to think!" I told him. Just then, the door was pushed open and Huxley walked in. "Huxley! How did it g

Nathan's POVThere were many types of situations I've gotten involved in. Most of them involved taking lives. Of course, I had to spill blood. However, things were absolutely different now.I was summoned by the elders. It was the first time, but I knew the elders so well to know that they were never happy with good news. They were like demons! And never relayed any good advice but anything that was linked to chaos and destruction.Entering the main room where the elders usually gathered, their customary stern expressions made me cringe a bit. I couldn't help but wonder what they wanted to make me do this time."Nathan. You're late." The oldest of them all said."I have my own life, you know," I said, rolling my eyes."Do not disrespect us!" One of them boomed in rage, offended at my gesture."Why am I here?" I asked frustratedly, completely ignoring his outburst. I wasn't here to start a fight with an elder, but I knew that it was inevitable since they always tried their best to fin

For you to get in danger," I said. Brielle sighed. "Giveon, Huxley, I am pregnant," she said. Both our expressions went blank when we heard this we weren't expecting this at all. She's pregnant ...how?! When?! "You are pregnant....how is this possible?" I asked her. She rolled her eyes. "How do you think people get pregnant? I am going to have a baby. We can't continue to ignore this forever. We can't just run away from it forever. They killed my mom, and they tried to kill me. They are also going to come for my child one day. I need to make sure that my child will be fine. That he won't be affected by those people. That is why we need to do this, and we need to do it now!" Brielle said. Giveon nodded his head.
