BRIELLE’s POV However, the man leading us led us outside and I was stunned by the sight in front of me. Was this really necessary? The outside of Oasis was delicately and exquisitely decorated as if the designer tried to pass a message across of how luxury was delicate. I loved it regardless. It wasn’t in my face and was also not easy to ignore. But by the wall, there was a display screen that read “I’m sorry Brielle,” I felt it was hard to settle in here without feeling weird. “What are you apologizing for?” I asked him after the man that had led us here left and Giveon’s face turned a lot more solemn. “Although I was respecting your papa’s wishes, as your mate, you should be the most important thing to me Brielle. I got that wrong and hurt you,” he explained and I felt myself stiffen a little. All of my life, all I have done is fight for myself. Fight for my breath, fight to get some work and while fighting, I had suffered quite the number of emotional and physical injuries.
Giveon’s POV After spending the day with Brielle, I finally let go of some of my anger. Although, now that I knew where that scum of a man lived, I was certainly going to visit him. “Why do you have to pack so much, I can just come and sleep here,” Brielle whined and I smiled at how comfortable she was getting with me. “Yes, you can. But bless the Fates, I don’t think I can handle more than one night of seeing you in my bed without taking you as mine,” I confessed and then zipped up the small bag with the sleeping charm pouches. Brielle flushed red at my words and then nodded shyly. My Elle. She was truly one of the most beautiful creations in this world. And somehow, the Fates had deemed me worthy of having her as mine. Even if I had to use my last breath, it would be spent on protecting my little princess from any harm. After packing all that was needed, I picked two of my pillows too and came face to face with her raised brows. “For you. I suspect that my scent might have als
Brielle’s POV It had taken a lot of effort to get Giveon to back off from Huxley. Not because I didn’t want to leave Pierxly but because I was worried that I’ll be involved in some fight between two different races. Wolves were also quick to anger and any opportunity to take things up would not be passed by. Also, now that I knew what Huxley was capable of, I would at the very least be able to protect myself. There was also this part of me that felt like he wouldn’t hurt me. It was weird but, Huxley’s reaction the moment he realized I didn’t want what he was doing made me feel like he was probably not completely hopeless. I felt a tap on my shoulders and I turned back to look at Lucas who was currently holding onto two different chandeliers. “Have been calling you since forever. Which of these two is for this room here?” He asked. My mind was distracted and I couldn’t trust myself to remember so I pulled out my phone to access the notes and allocations we had done. “Okay, this g
Giveon’s POV She had caught me by surprise. Complete surprise but I couldn't stop my primal instincts from chasing after her. It was like the blood pumping into my veins. Her petite body had just flown into the woods as soon as I stepped out of the woods and I stopped for a second. Licking the blood that she had dripped into my mouth and allowed myself to relish her taste. She was easily the best thing I have ever tasted, especially since her human blood supply was usually blood taken through injections from willing sellers. But Brielle tasted like heaven on earth here. I could still hear her steps and the sound of the wind from her wheezing through the forest and as soon as I saw that she had run long enough, I dashed into the woods too. I wanted the hunt to be special. So I don’t use my super speed. Instead, I take my time, running in the places that had her scent. Some of the places she had run past even had drops of her blood and I would stop, allowing her to gain more ground
Brielle’s POV For a second, I’m regretting agreeing to this. And then there’s this part deep within me that seems completely ready to give myself up to this man that was taking everything from me. Not only was he taking, draining me, there was some sort of exchange. It felt like my body was gaining in something while my blood was leaving. And so the moment when the soul tug broke free to bind the both of us, the energies of whatever it was he was giving me, and his venom clashed fiercely within me and rendered my body completely unconscious. It was almost like there was some connection between us because despite being unable to move my body, I also felt I could see everything through Giveon’s eyes. I watched as he ran, the trees whooshing around in a blur. Even after he laid me on the couch gently, he raced around the house, frantic and terrified. And after a while of doing everything he could, he carried my body in his arms and sat down, cradling me as his body trembled. But no
Brielle’s POV If for one thing, Giveon had been purely honest when he said he couldn’t hold back because at my words, he lifted my body a little and tore apart my part. He then laid me down gently on the couch and went down on his knees like he wanted to worship. Well, you could say he was indeed worshiping, At my temple. The cold air slapping against my core was tortuous but as I made a move to close my legs together, a little out of the coldness and a little out of embarrassment at being laid bare in front of him. The very last time I had been this way, it was totally not within my will. But this right here? I wanted nothing more than it. Giveon was faster than me as he held my thighs apart. “I need to see all of you,” his voice was husky and deep, making the already ambiguous atmosphere turn even more seductive. He lowered his head, and I flushed in embarrassment as all that was left was his mess of brown curls peeking out from between my thighs. “Fvck!” I cursed out as his
Huxley’s POV I felt a sharp tug from my wolf and then he started to whimper endlessly. “What the Fvck is wrong with you,” I used all of my willpower to hold him back. “My mate,” Alarm bells rang in my head. What was wrong with Brielle? Only I knew for certain that the mate bond between us was still there. And if my mate was feeling a tug, then it had to be from her wolf. But how was I going to find her? I closed all the tabs on my computer as I dashed into the elevator and for the first time, I’m glad I left the top floor empty for me and Brielle. At the very least, no one would see their president racing through the hallways. The drive to Brielle’s place was torturous. At this time of the day, the traffic was light and the hectic time had already passed stiI drove past every car and broke every traffic regulation. Usually, when a wolf acted against their human counterpart's wishes, the person was most likely in a type of situation that they couldn’t escape from themselves. Wh
Brielle’s POV I opened my eyes slowly. The first thing my mind registers is the pain. I’m sore and I feel as if a truck had run me over. Giveon had pinned me to the bed all night and refused to let me go. At some point, I had been reduced to a whimpering mess, begging and asking that he lets me go. Even though I wasn’t human, I had to accept that the stamina that came with being a vampire was either indestructible or my Mate was just really insatiable.... At the thought of the mate bond, I warmed up, my heart racing from the mere title. Before my thoughts could go any further, the door was pushed open and he peeked into the room. "Are you okay?" He asked me. He had a knowing smile on his face. I glared at him. "does it look as it I'm okay right now?" I shot back with a glare that made Giveon give out a cheeky smile. “I feel like my body is about to break and you think I’m comedic relief?” I scooted as he came to sit by my side. "I'm sorry. I should have been careful yeste
CHAPTER 191Five Years LaterEva and I stood on the balcony of the palace. We were drinking coffee. It had been five years since Giveon, Huxley, and I had our son, and Huxley, Giveon, and I had decided that it was time for us to have a second daughter. Because of that, I have given up drinking tor now. I won't be doing anything that could hinder my chances of getting pregnant. "So? How is it going with Peter?" I asked Eva. Eva sighed when I brought up her new mate, who had been chasing her for a few months now. After I killed Nathan, Eva slipped into depression. There was nothing that I could do to snap her out of it. She was done for a few months. She really loved Peter, and then he went and did that to her, it was understandable that she was sad.A few months later, she finally snapped out of it and started to live her life again. But she was never really healed. She has gotten over Nathan and his betrayal, but it was always as if there was something that she used to protect he
BRIELLE"No! No! Stay away!" She screamed. "Please!" "You have to calm down Eva. You have to understand why I am making this decision." He said trying to calm her down and also trying to calm himself."What do I have to understand?! That you want to kill my best friend?! You want to murder Brielle and you want me to calm down?" Eva asked. There was raw pain in her voice and I did not want to watch this. "Eva. You have to understand that Brielle is a threat to us all and I am the only one who can eliminate that threat right now." Nathan said still maintaining that calm tone."What?!" She snapped. "A threat? Are you even listening to yourself?" I know Eva. I know how much she loves Nathan. She's probably trying to tell herself that he must have been brainwashed. And that is why I am here. To make sure she doesn't fall for his lies!"If you love me, you won't do this Nathan." She whispered to him and I knew it was my cue to step in. I can let her be fooled by this man again. "Please
BRIELLE's POV"My child?" I asked, surprised then looked at my innocent baby boy who had just come to the world only to be threatened by death. I saw red and handed my baby to the midwife.I trusted her and she froze feeling honored. The maid was startled by my firmness. It seemed like she was expecting me to be completely weak but it was her loss for expecting that. I raced towards her, grabbed her neck, and slammed my forehead against hers, then grabbed the dagger she was holding and shoved it into her neckAs her body fell to the ground, I rushed outside to see strong men heading to my chamber. They were stunned to see me stained with blood and looking as insane as ever."You fools!" I screamed at them. They were not going to touch my child! Not while I was aliveI ran towards them, killing them with breaking a sweat and they all led me to the throne room. Many of them were gathered and looked shocked.I let the dagger fall to the ground, smiling wickedly then released my powers in
CHAPTER 188 BRIELLE I was pacing up and down in my room waiting for Huxley to come back. Giveon was in the room with me. "I think that you need to calm down. You aren't going to get anything out of it if you keep panicking like this. I think that he's strong enough to handle the elders now" Giveon told me. "You think that I don't want to believe that? I want to believe that nothing will go wrong too but I don't know what I am supposed to trust anymore. I feel like things are about to get so out of hand!" I told Giveon. "But this is what you want right? This is what you've always wanted. You said that this would draw them out of their hiding place. Seriously, we wouldn't be doing this if this wasn't your plan!" Giveon said. I sighed. "I know ...I guess that it must be my pregnancy messing with my emotions. I don't even know what's wrong with me anymore. I don't know what to think!" I told him. Just then, the door was pushed open and Huxley walked in. "Huxley! How did it g
Nathan's POVThere were many types of situations I've gotten involved in. Most of them involved taking lives. Of course, I had to spill blood. However, things were absolutely different now.I was summoned by the elders. It was the first time, but I knew the elders so well to know that they were never happy with good news. They were like demons! And never relayed any good advice but anything that was linked to chaos and destruction.Entering the main room where the elders usually gathered, their customary stern expressions made me cringe a bit. I couldn't help but wonder what they wanted to make me do this time."Nathan. You're late." The oldest of them all said."I have my own life, you know," I said, rolling my eyes."Do not disrespect us!" One of them boomed in rage, offended at my gesture."Why am I here?" I asked frustratedly, completely ignoring his outburst. I wasn't here to start a fight with an elder, but I knew that it was inevitable since they always tried their best to fin
Huxley's POVLetting out the news that you are back here and you have activated your powers..... is just going to put you in danger. And that is the last thing that I want. For you to get in danger," I said. Brielle sighed. "Giveon, Huxley, I am pregnant," she said. Both our expressions went blank when we heard this we weren't expecting this at all. She's pregnant ...how?! When?! "You are pregnant....how is this possible?" I asked her. She rolled her eyes. "How do you think people get pregnant? I am going to have a baby. We can't continue to ignore this forever. We can't just run away from it forever. They killed my mom, and they tried to kill me. They are also going to come for my child one day. I need to make sure that my child will be fine. That he won't be affected by those people. That is why we need to do this, and we need to do it now!" Brielle said. Giveon nodded his head. "You are right, Brielle. Hiding from them is never a solution because they are going to find you at
HUXLEY's POVI was shocked when I saw Brielle walk in. I thought that we would have to go through a lot before we found her, but we didn't even need to do that at all. She just walked up to us herself what is going on here? Brielle...what is going on? Is this really you? I thought...I thought....how are you here? How did you get away?."" I would like to tell both of you the entire story, but I think that it will have to wait for some other time. There is something I picked that the both of you need to know!""Who is he, and what is he doing here, Brielle?" Giveon asked her"He is ...he is from my kingdom. Like I said, I have a lot of things that I want to tell both of you. There are a lot of things that I found out about my pack that you both need to know," she said. "What is going on? What do you need to tell us, Brielle?" I asked her. "Well, you see, I come from a lineage of demigods. Many years ago, our ancestors were sent down to restore peace to the Earth because there was a
BRIELLE's POVJust because he wants to be an Elder? He doesn't mind giving up the people who are important to him just so that he can get what he wants! " Eva said. I took Eva into a big hug. "You don't have to blame yourself for this, Eva. You didn't do anything wrong. He is the one who was wrong for doing this to you. Don't spend your time thinking about a person who isn't worth it at all!" I said."I know. Don't think that I don't know any of this. I know that I should hate him, especially since after what he has done to me, but I can't...I really can't help myself here at all! I am so hurt by what he has done!" Eva said. "Eva, please don't tell me that you are thinking of taking him back after all of this. Don't tell me that you are going to beg him if he apologises to you?" I asked her. Eva immediately shook her head as if I had suggested the most evil thing in the universe. "Of course not! I am not going to forgive him! Not after what he has done to you! What he has done to u
BRIELLE's POVI can't take that risk. I have to make sure that everything is fine for my child. I won't give birth to my child when there's a danger like that coven lurking around," I said. "Are you sure that this is what you want, Brielle? You want to go against that coven?" Dad asked me. I nodded my head. "It is not as if I am trying to go against them because I don't have anything better to do with my time. I would prefer if I never had to deal with them in my life, but I can't just ignore this. I can't do it. I have to make sure that they won't hurt anyone else the way that they hurt my mom. I have to make sure that my child won't be their victim," I said. "Fine. Since that is what you want to do, then I am going to support you," Dad told me. I turned to Eva, who hadn't said anything since. "Eva? Are you okay?" I asked her. She nodded her head. "Yes. I am fine. I am just trying to process this. You are pregnant....wow....this is huge news," she said. I smiled as I patted m
