Isabel took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the moment hanging heavily in the air. She looked at Mason, his eyes searching hers for any sign of hope. She knew her decision would go against what he might expecting, but she couldn't stay with him any longer.

"Mason," she began, her voice quivering with a mixture of sadness and determination, "I already told you my decision. There will be nothing between us anymore. It's over."
