Third Person's POV Four large guards step out of the guard house on each side of the gate as Grayson and Coal stop in front of it. The Elder looks past the guards and past the gate. He sees a large building about 500 ft away from the gate. It's a metal, industrial-type building, and the only windows are near the top. Convenient. He sees the parking lot along the back left side of the building and can tell it wraps around along the back of the building. The parking lot looks half full, but he sees no people coming and going. It appears whatever is going on has already started. Grayson rolls his window down and tries to minimize his Alpha aura as much as possible. Coal nods his head ever so slightly, letting him know he was successful.“This facility is not open to the public. Do you have an invitation?” The guard said in a deep baritone voice as he approached Grayson’s door. “No, I don't. I was hoping to get one.”“I'm sorry, you'll have to come back when you can get an invitation.
Third Person's POV Ezra gently grabs his nervous dragon's chin and tilts his head up before taking his face into his hands. He looks into his beautiful chocolate-colored eyes, and his heart beats faster. “You have nothing to fear. My Family would never hurt you. You're part of my family now. They're going to love and accept you. Especially my dad. He is going to love you to pieces!” Ezra said as he looked into Roman's eyes. His thumb caresses his cheek as his head dips, pressing his lips to Romans's forehead. The Omega tugs on Ezra's shirt as he comes up onto his toes. He melts in the king's arms when they wrap around him. Roman holds on tighter when he feels the ground beneath their feet disappears. He opens his eyes and looks around when he feels their new surroundings. When he looks around, he's confused. They're in a bedroom that smells like Ezra. The Omega steps out of Ezra's arms and slowly turns, taking in his surroundings. He sees photos on a dresser with pictures of his
Third Person's POV Lexon thought he would be used to Ezra's aggression, but when he suddenly showed up out of nowhere, ready to take down another facility, he realized he was not. The anger rolling off of the Elder was crippling, and the Elder grabbed Ezra, pulled himself up. This was alarming, especially since he's an Elder and they haven't done the ceremony that crowns Ezra as king and makes him the official ruler. Lexon gripped Ezra's arm as hard as he could, which wasn't very hard because of the aura rolling off of Ezra. “Ezra!... Please, calm down,” The Elder barely managed to say, and Ezra immediately reeled in his anger. “I'm sorry. We have a mission,” The king said before teleporting them near the building so he could tell him his plan. ~As soon as the ground was under their feet, gasps were heard as everyone quickly turned in their direction. Ezra was already focusing on their beating hearts as Lexon entered their minds. The guns that were r
Third Person's POVAfter rehoming the hybrids, the foyer floor appears under their feet at the coven. Lexon turns to head toward his room. His body aches, and he is tired. He can still feel the poison coursing through his body, and it's finally starting to take a toll. As Lexon turns and limps away, Ezra sees his back and how badly it's burnt. “Wait a minute, come here,” Ezra said. Lexon paused and turned toward the king. His eyebrows knit together as Ezra approaches. His eyes widen when Ezra gently grabs his face and tilts his head to the side as his head dips to his neck. “Ezra, what are you do-ah…Mhh,” Lexon's words were cut off when Ezra's fangs pierced his neck deeply. He felt his King's fangs hit the bone, and he squeezed his eyes closed as he gripped Ezra's chest. A wave of pleasure rolled through the elder before it turned to something different. A strange, tingly sensation spread across his body. It began to itch and caused his skin to feel tight. The king extracted his f
Third Person's POV Joey lies in his bed facing the window, his back toward the door. He's as awkward as it comes. Not only is his tongue cut out, and he walks with a limp, he's left-handed. It was just another thing for kids to tease him about. It seemed the world always had something to tease him about. Everything he did was wrong. He could look at someone, and they would claim he looked at them the wrong way. The Omega lay in bed, his right hand propped his head up as his left hand moved vigorously across the thick sheet of paper, sketching, thumb caressing the charcoal color and shading needed areas. As more time passed, the image became clearer. Long dreads past the shoulders, pulled up around the face, and clamped just behind his head. His sharp eyebrows became a mirror image, and he moved on to his thin and beautiful nose. His beautiful face came to life. His gorgeous dreadlocks, facial hair, and eyes that held so much emotion came to life on paper. Joey felt his eyes burn a
Third Person's POV When Joey pulled back from the kiss, he was a ball of excitement. The little Omega had the biggest smile on his face, which made the Alpha's heart soar. Tate reached up and caressed the Omega's cheek. “Why don't you talk with your mouth?” Tate asked softly, and the Omega’s smile disappeared as he looked down. “Hey, I didn't mean to upset you. It's just. I thought you didn't talk because your tongue was completely gone, but it's not.” Tate said, and Joey became uncomfortable. He didn't like talking about his tongue. He didn't like anyone mentioning it. It made him want to disappear or run away. When Joey tried to climb off Tate, the Alpha wrapped his arms around him tighter and gently held his face.“I'm sorry! I'm not trying to upset you, I'm just trying to understand.” “I can't pronounce the words properly when I try to talk. People can't understand me. I sound stupid, and they make fun of me. My voice is ugly, so I don't talk.” Joey said through the link and
Third Person's POV The curtains begin sliding open from the center out. As it does, Grayson and Coal's stomachs drop as it reveals the so-called merchandise. Whimpers were heard from the stage as the nearly naked Omegas and Delta 3s were shoved forward. Some moved forward as if this wasn't their first time, and others stumbled and fell as they were shoved. The only thing on their bodies were tiny pink thongs that barely covered anything and were at least one size too small. Grayson looked down when he saw the two females standing on the stage, trying to cover their breasts. Unfortunately, when they tried, they were hit with a whip, which promptly made them uncover themselves. “Don't worry, we're using our gentlest whip, and he's not hitting them too hard. We don't want to damage the merchandise too much before you purchase it.” The tall, slender man said. When Grayson looked up, he forced himself to look at each person standing on the stage. They were incredibly underweight and tre
Third Person's POV The Delta 3 opened his eyes, terrified, when he saw the Alpha's glowing red eyes. He squeezed his eyes closed, terrified to look at him and afraid of what he would do to him. He knows he messed up. It's been a long time since he tried to run away. He knows the punishment for running away is one of the harshest punishments. The fact that it will come from this particular Alpha makes it even worse. His shoulders shake as he begins crying. He feels the Alpha stand and feels the bruising grip he has on his body as he holds him tight against him. His fear rises when he hears the Alpha growl. It was so loud and so deep, it was terrifying! His aura is incredibly strong, stronger than any he had ever felt. With an aura this strong, the Delta feared he might not survive an Alpha command from him, not with how weak he is.As soon as the Alpha climbs into the car, his grip loosens, and the Delta hurries out of his lap and falls onto the floor. He's quick to kneel and bends o
Third Person's POV Darien stood in the closet, buttoning his shirt. His mind raced with all the different scenarios of things that could go wrong. He tried not to think of it but couldn't stop his thoughts from racing. What if they didn't like him? What if they hated the fact he was a submissive Alpha and thought he wasn't good enough for their brother? His thoughts spiraled out of control. He had just finished buttoning the last one and gasped when Wyatt suddenly appeared behind him. His strong chest crashed against his back as his arms quickly wrapped around him. Darien smiled as he tilted his head, giving his Alpha access to his neck, which he quickly accepted. Wyatt buried his face against his skin, nuzzling and kissing him.“You're right, maybe we shouldn't go. Maybe we should just lay in bed and snuggle all night. I'm having withdrawals; I need to drown myself in you,” Wyatt's voice was muffled with his lips pressed against his mate's neck. Darien's heart fluttered when the Al
Third Person's POV Grayson's laptop was long forgotten on the little table next to him. The Alpha lies on his side in the daybed, staring at his mate. He loves the Delta's smooth, pale skin and the way his dark, straight hair lies against his forehead. He loves how he chews on his lip while he reads and tilts his head when he doesn't understand something. He loves the time they are spending together, quietly sitting beside each other outside on the balcony, sharing the silence. “So… My job wouldn't be to fight for our people?” Sebastian's soft voice broke the silence. Grayson's heart swelled when he called them “our” people.“No. Your job as Luna is to make sure everyone who cannot fight gets to safety in the event of an attack. We have several bunkers. Normally, we use the two bunkers in the basement of the pack house. In extreme cases, we use the large one under the field beside the pack house, but we haven't used it in a long time. That one is big enough that everyone in the pack
Third Person's POV “I can't be a Luna; I'm just a Delta 3. All I know is how to be a pet. I don't even know how to be your mate,” Sebastian told Grayson before Ezra went to take down Luther. The book Sebastian was reading suddenly goes flying as Grayson grabs him from the sofa chair and falls back against the couch, wrapping him tightly in his arms. Sebastian laughs as Grayson buries his face in his neck, and his light stubble tickles his sensitive skin.Grayson's heart swells; Sebastian's laughter is music to his ears. He takes a deep breath in of the Delta 3's incredibly sweet scent, and his chest rumbles in satisfaction. The sound coming from his Alpha sends a shiver down Sebastian's spine. “I was studying,” Sebastian said, biting his lip when he felt Grayson's warm breath fan his neck. “It was taking too long! I feel neglected,” Grayson mumbled against his neck, and Sebastian's stomach fluttered. The Delta 3 pulled his head back and looked at Grayson. “I didn't mean to negl
Third Person's POV Ezra has been standing outside Lexon's door for several minutes, trying to get the courage to go in. He reaches up to knock on the door but pulls his hand back and exhales, letting his hand drop to his side. Ezra hangs his head as he turns to walk away, but the door suddenly opens. “Leaving so soon?” Lexon said, and Ezra slowly turned to face him. When Ezra looked at Lexon, he was relieved to see how well he looked. His skin looked completely normal, and his hair was just past his ears. “You look good,” Ezra said as he moved closer. He reached for Lexon's hair but paused when he saw Aero standing a few feet behind Lexon. “Come on in,” Lexon said as he stepped aside. Ezra swallowed before entering Lexon's room. When he entered the foyer, Aero turned and walked back into his brother's bedroom. Lexon nudged his head for Ezra to follow, and he did. As he entered the Elder’s bedroom, he found Jace sitting on the bed, watching a movie while crocheting. Jace looked
Third Person's POV Jace was concerned when Lexon slept the rest of the day, through the night, and into the following day.He was relieved when his brother-in-law knocked on the door late afternoon. Jace grabbed Aero's hand and quickly dragged him to their bed, where Lexon lay asleep. “Should I wake him? He hasn't woken up since he came home. I tried to give him blood, but he said he was too tired and needed a nap. That was yesterday! He hasn't woken up yet! Should I wake him?” Jace said as he tugged at his fingers, looking between his mate and brother-in-law. Aero wrapped his right arm around Jace and ruffled his hair.“He's okay. He was just exhausted. His body is working overtime to heal his body. Your skin is the largest organ in your body. He was burned from head to toe. 100% of his skin was burned off. I can tell the difference already. His skin is no longer transparent, and his hair is beginning to grow. See, look,” Aero said as he pointed to the stubble growing on Lexon's he
Third Person's POV Darien was excited but nervous. It was not only the first time he'd cooked in two years but also the first time he'd cooked for Wyatt. Wyatt's nose immediately flared as he entered the apartment. His eyes darted around as he closed the door and didn't stop until they landed on Darien. His eyes moved from Darien to the kitchen table, and his lips parted. For a moment, Wyatt is unable to move or speak. His lack of movement makes Darien even more nervous, and realizes he made a mistake. “I, I can make something else if you don't like spaghetti and meatballs. I, I should have asked you first if you liked it. I can whip something else up,” Darien said as he picked up his plate and Wyatt's. Wyatt was beside him instantly and took the plates from his hands. He set them down before grabbing Darien's waist with his left hand and pulling the smaller Alpha toward him. “I love spaghetti! I was just surprised that you did this for me. I wasn't expecting it,” Wyatt said soft
Third Person's POV Darien had a hard time falling asleep. He kept staring at the door and wishing Wyatt would walk through it. The minutes ticked by, and sleep refused to come. Darian glanced at the clock and decided maybe just a little peek would do. As quietly as he can, Darien pulls the blankets back and climbs out of bed. His sleep pants hang low on his waist, and his bare feet are silent against the wood floor as he walks down the hall. He pauses when he realizes the TV is on in the living room. But after a moment, he wonders if Wyatt fell asleep with it on. He didn't think he was watching TV; the sound was off. As quietly as he could, Darien walked into the living room. His heart raced, afraid of getting caught. He was relieved to find the Alpha fast asleep. His eyes were closed, and his lips were parted. He looked so peaceful, Darien thought as he stepped closer. He let out a quiet breath as he sat on the chair beside the couch. He put his elbows on his knees and rested his
Third Person's POV It felt so strange walking through town like a normal person again. It felt strange to be free. Somehow, the alpha next to him makes him forget how strange it is. The way his eyes sparkle with happiness as they walk hand in hand down the street. The way he opens the door for him, keeping his body between him and the road, showing chivalry, and making him feel special. It's something he never thought he would feel after what happened to him. He never thought anyone could possibly accept someone like him, but this man does. Wyatt does it so effortlessly. Darien smiles as Wyatt pulls him into another store. “What kind of art do you like?” Wyatt asked as he pulled him toward the wall of paintings “Maybe we can hang something behind the couch; what do you think?” Wyatt asked as he looked intently at the paintings, studying each one.“Um, I don't know. I think I like this one,” Darien said as he pointed to a large rectangular painting that would fit perfectly behind t
Third Person's POV Ezra stood in the bathroom with his hands against the counter, staring into the sink. Images flashed in his head of what he did to those he loved. Nadja warned him what the darkness could do, and he believed him, but he never thought it would happen to him. He thought he was stronger. He thought he could control it. Ezra found out the hard way that wasn't the case. He remembers recognizing them, but He also remembers thinking they were insignificant. Whatever love he felt for them was no longer there. They were below him and an annoyance that he wanted to get rid of. He remembers what it felt like to hold Nadja's throat in his hand. He felt so powerful holding the ancient life in the palm of his hands. He remembers what it felt like to want to kill him, but what hurts the most is the reason he dropped his flames in the first place: his father. It wasn't because his father made a connection and was close to bringing him back from the darkness; it was because he fel
