There seems to be a lot of confusion with Atticus's parents. A lot of people think Niles was his dad, and he was not. At least not his biological dad. Niles did not come into the picture until Atticus was around 5. Atticus's mother died when he was 3 years old. (I initially couldn't remember how old Atticus was when she died so I had to look it up. I found it in chapter 54 of Harris's book) 2 years later the vampires came back and began attacking them so The Dragon King Mahan went to the alpha King for help. The alpha King sent his beta, Niles, along with a group of warriors to help. Nile and Mahan fell in love. Niles ended up staying at the castle for a year and for a year everything was perfect Atticus had two parents again. Unfortunately the vampires attacked again, and killed Mahan. Niles couldn't live without him so he killed himself where Mahan died. So, Niles was not Atticus's biological dad. He was only in his life for a little over a year before the Dragon Kingdom fell, an
Third Person's POV “No, it's not far. We just have to go down one level, and it's at the end of the hall,” Atticus said as he pulled the door closed behind them. Naham was eager to see if his friend was alive. Many years ago, he shared the same room with another Omega for a short time. One day, without warning, they took Andy, and he never saw him again. He always wondered what happened to him. He always wondered if he was still alive or if those bastards killed him.His desire to see his friend allowed him the courage to fight his fears and walk down the hall in search of him. Naham stayed close to Aero, holding his arm while Roman was tucked tightly in Ezra's arms. Ezra caressed Roman’s back as they walked down the stairs. Every so often, the little Omega peeked his head out, only to bury his face in Ezra's neck seconds later. Ezra chuckled as he rubbed the Omega's back and kissed his head. He couldn't get enough of Roman. He was amazed by how happy the Omega made him. He was am
Third Person's POV Nadja's eyes shot open as he sucked a breath in. His heart raced as he looked around. White hair on his chest caused the Elder to freeze. He's quickly reminded that he's no longer in that dark cell and they weren't beating him. His left leg ached. They broke it in his dream, and it felt so real. Maybe that's because they did break it, more than once. He looked down at Evelyn, and an overwhelming feeling of happiness washed over him. He couldn't believe he was waking up with his angel in his arms. He had dreamed about this moment a million times. Her body was so warm against him, and those little tingles dancing along his skin where their bodies touched were more magical than he ever remembered them to be. Her beautiful scent of honeysuckle surrounded him. All he could smell was her, and all he could feel was her. Nadja silently prayed to the Moon Goddess, thanking her for giving him one of her most precious children. He made a promise to the Goddess that he would
Third Person's POV It's been two full days, and Nadja is finally able to leave his room. The ancient Elder has spent the past two days recovering. His body has been healing, and his strength has slowly returned. Ten years locked in that hell, starved and deprived of blood, had taken a toll on his body. Nadja is finally feeling strong enough to leave the room and do something he's been wanting to do for ten years. He stands in the hall and knocks on the door. The Vampire on the other side smiles at him as he steps back and allows someone else to step into view.“Roman,” Nadja said softly. The moment he saw the Omega standing, his eyes filled with tears. Neither of them had been strong enough to stand in the ten years they had lived in that hell. The Omega already looked so much healthier. The bruises were gone, the wounds were nearly healed, and his eyes shined with life returning to them. The Omega's lip trembled as he took a step forward. Like Nadja, he couldn't get over how healt
Third Person's POV Joey laughed as he held tight onto Luke's wolf's fur. The Omega wolf is swift on his feet but careful not to throw Joey off. With his chest against Flash, Joey tilted his head back and closed his eyes as the wind rushed through his hair. He smiled, feeling like he finally got his wolf, someone he never received at 16. He swears he can feel him, but he has never heard him. Sometimes, he feels his wolf is so close, and he tries desperately to listen for him… But other times, he's so distant and he tells himself it was all in his head, that he needs to accept he is a wolfless Omega—something no one has truly witnessed before and has only read about.Joey hears Luke in his head, asking him to brace for the sharp turn and the leap over the last stream. The Omega opens his eyes and grips Flash’s light gray fur tighter. He leans to the left with the wolf as his body wraps around the tree. His paws push off the ground and force him forward at lightning speed. His feet leav
Third Person's POV Naham stands on the balcony, staring up at the sky and wishing his dragon would talk to him. It's been so long since he's heard his dragon's voice in his head, and it's been even longer since he's shifted. The last time he shifted was when Roman was a baby. They allowed nursing Omegas to shift to their dragon so they could feed and care for their young. Through trial and error, they discovered that the baby's survival rate was greater when the Omega was allowed to shift and care for them. They learned many things through trial and error with the Omegas. Unfortunately, it took them a long time to realize they couldn't starve the Omegas and feed from them when they were pregnant. At first not many Omegas carried their child to term. Most that did, delivered stillborns.Naham closes his eyes and his head drops as the memories surface… He was no different… He experienced the same heartbreak all the Omegas captured from his realm had experienced. During his first preg
Third Person's POV When Naham didn't seem to want to let go, the Elder sat down on the bed. After propping several pillows against the headboard, he leaned back against them and closed his eyes as he caressed the Omegas' back. It was such a comforting feeling to lay down with the Omega, his mate, against him. His beautiful, sweet scent wrapped around him like a warm blanket. All of his stress seemed to melt away, and his lack of sleep caught up to him as he began to drift off. Naham opened his eyes when he felt the vampire's body relax and heard the difference in his breathing pattern. He felt Aero's hands go limp and slide down his back as he pulled back to look at him. Naham tilted his head as he looked at the vampire and realized he was sleeping. He let his eyes rake over his face, allowing himself to really look at his mate for the first time. His skin was so smooth and pale, such a stark contrast against his skin. His hair was so straight and long. It looked like silk lying a
Third Person's POV Now that the Elder feels back to himself and has fulfilled his promise to someone who is like a son to him, the Elder feels it's time to see his people again and check in on Ezra to see how he is managing since he has come into his powers. He heard that the king came into his powers and felt it himself. He felt it through the link of the elder, and he felt it at the moment he peered into his head briefly as he shifted through all the vampires throughout the world. Nadja listens to Evelyn as he tightens his belt before pulling on his shoes. He looks at Evelyn when she suddenly stops talking. Her eyes glazed over, letting Nadja know she was talking to someone through the link. Her eyes return to normal, and she breathes out as she places her hand over her chest. “You might want to hold that thought for a while,” Evelyn said, confusing Nadja. The Elder watched Evelyn walk toward the door and step back after opening it. Nadja's eyebrows pull together, confused as he
