Chapter 63: Tradegy

Back at Nick's apartment, Ruth got out of bed to use the bathroom. She watched Nick's sleeping face and smiled before exiting the bedroom.

She had only been in the bathroom for less than five minutes when she heard an explosion sound. She screamed and Nick jumped out of bed.

"It is happening again," Nick said and looked outside from the window.

"What is happening?" Ruth rushed back to the bedroom

"I will explain later, go get mum," he said and Ruth exited the bedroom and descended the staircase into the living room.

She headed straight for the entrance door but the moment she opened it she run into Cassandra and Mrs Brown. She let them into the living room and there was another explosion. The glass in the living room shattered and there was smoke entering the room from beneath the entrance door. Ruth screamed and headed back to the bedroom running up the staircase.

Cassandra called after her unable to leave Mrs Brown alone in her wheelchair. Ruth entered the bedroom to inform Nick
