Chapter four

Diamonda's POV

What do I do now? Oh, moon goddess please save me!! I pleaded in my mind, my body shook and my heart raced in fright.

"We could fight them," Lara suggested meekly.

"And use up what's left of your energy and strength? No thanks." I said not giving it a second thought, I began racking my brain on what to do, I could jump out of the window.

"I'll be fine—"

"I'd rather die than lose you forever." I cut her off abruptly snapping at her, she slowly withdrew to the back of my mind as I checked the distance between this floor and the ground, it was way too high I can't jump down without breaking something, if I had never met Alpha Mares my wolf and I would have been in top-notch condition and I would have been an amazing werewolf warrior.

"Open the door please we just want to do an identity check!" A masculine voice yelled from outside the door and my body calmed down a bit.

"What do you smell?" I asked Lara, I can't smell what she smells, I can't feel what she feels, we are not one with each other, we used to be not any more.

"Werewolves, the Night Shade pack werewolves." She replied.

Those bastards!! Alpha Mares werewolves! Once I open the door it's over for me. "Ma'am or Sir please open up let's do the verification and leave quickly!" The same man commented again sounding slightly agitated and impatient.

"I'm sorry but I can't open the door I think it's jammed and uhm well... I just got here." I said stuttering, tears filled my eyes and my body shook vigorously.

"Then you leave us no choice, we'll have to break it down!!" Another man hollered from outside and I broke into sobs and cried my eyes out, oh mother please have mercy on me, please come to my aid, I pleaded with my eyes shut.

The door flew open slamming hard against the wall and I whimpered at the sudden impact and cried harder as I grasped my reality. Three hefty-looking men rushed into the room and I slowly walked back to the wall.

"Oh! It's you." A very familiar face scrunched his nose and chortled, I felt my stomach churn at this action and I cried even harder.

"Jack?" I asked in a very meek tone, all my sass and courage went out the door, he's one of the pack warriors, he's as cruel as he looked, a large scar ran from his jaw to the base of his neck.

"You remember, that's even much better." He widened his grin showing off his perfect razor teeth, his smile was almost reaching his eyes.

"Don't do this please." I pleaded, I had no idea of what else to do to get out of this situation.

"Oh, so you can beg? You should have begged the alpha for mercy after wrongfully accusing him!!", he raised his hands and took his bottom lips in between his lips, I glanced at his palm which was wide open and aimed for my cheeks and I braced myself for impact.

His hand collided painfully with my cheek, I tried to hold in the tears that threatened to fall down my cheeks, I held my lips shut and bawled with my eyes closed, my hands formed fists and all I could think about was being able to shift into my full form and rip these bastards to shred.

"You are a traitor, a rogue, filth! Give me one reason I should spare you." He asked, his eyes were red and void of any emotion, and a menacing smirk thereafter graced his lips.

"You never lived me?" I asked, weeping quietly, his emotionless facial mask crumbled but it was back up in a second.

"Loving you was the worst mistake I ever made, I lost everything because of you," he moved closer to me staring me down, I could feel his hot breath on my face "do you know what I had to do to earn back the trust of the alpha and find my place in the pack once again?" he lowered himself so we were at the same eye level, I looked into his eyes and all I saw was hate and rage.

His hand was wrapped around my neck in a blink of an eye and without hesitation, he flung me across the room, I landed against the wall with a loud thud and a painful cracking sound could be heard, I think I just broke something. If I had known it was him I would have taken my chances and jumped out the window.

"You are coming with me!" He plodded across the room and genuflected next to me, his lips curved upwards and he smiled at me. He put his hand in a fist and slammed it hard on my head causing my head to collide with the hard-tiled floor immediately darkness covered my vision and I lost consciousness.

I groaned in pain as I walked back into consciousness, my head was aching badly, and I rolled onto my side slowly opening my eyes. I held my head in an attempt to ease the pain. "Argh!" I yelped in pain as a sharp pain shit through the inside of my head as I sat up on whatever I was seated on.

"You're awake!!" A familiar voice commented tittering, I opened my eyes fully and the face before me brought an instant smile to my face.

"Dad?" Tears of joy and pain formed in my eyes, I opened my arms wide and he gave me a big warm hug.

"I've missed you so much my darling daughter," Dad said with a huge grin on his face, I hugged him tighter enjoying this moment. It's been way too long.

"I've missed you even more, I've missed you so much." I grabbed his shirt trying to hug him tighter, tears rolled down my cheeks and I chortled in happiness.

"How have you been pumpkin!" He asked sweetly pulling away from me slowly, I stared at his face taking in even the slightest detail, his brown eyes stared back at me with love, the white streaks on his hair showing signs of old age, his not so pointed nose in a scrunch. I giggled at him and his smile widened.

"I've been fairing very well, thanks, Dad." He patted my head loving his smile not leaving his lips, I mirrored his expression, and a cough rudely interrupted our reunion.

I looked up to see who it was and my smile instantly faded away, I felt a pang in my chest, a feeling I knew all too well, betrayal, deceit, lies!! I scowled as I stared at the disgusting face of the woman who gave birth to me and my deceiving older sister and brother.

"You've finally found your way back home." She hollered with a fake grin on her face, my frown deepened and I started having flashbacks.

"You conniving evil witch!!" I spat bitterly, I felt nothing but hate had disgust towards them, I despise them as much as I hate their stupid Alpha.

"How dare you speak to mother like that!!" Seline asked glaring at me, I mirrored her expression and threw in a bit of a disgustful and hateful look.

"Don't look at me like that." She commanded but I just stared her down even more.

"Our daughter just returned home, be a little more sincere," Dad said to mom softly placing his hand on my shoulder, my dad is the sweetest person I know, he's so kind and loving, even when the world turned its back on me, he pulled me into his warm embrace.

"I'm not an actress honey, there is only so much I can do." Mom spat and I eyed her in disgust.

"I'm not coming 'home' I'm never going to stay in this pack or any pack for that matter, especially not after what your son of a bitch alpha did to me and my wolf—" I started.

"Shut your filthy mouth you low-life rogue! If you dare accuse or try to slander my alpha ever again in your life I will—" She cut me off opening her eyes and glaring at me as she spoke with hatred in her tone.

"You will what?? Hmm? What will you do?! What more can you do?!!! Your damned alpha has done it all!" I yelled and shouted at the top of my lungs, I don't care who hears me as long as my message is fully passed.

"Why would Bia lie about something as heinous as this? And it happened after her visit to the alpha, I believe she is telling the truth." Dad backed me up and supported me, which brought warmth to my heart and comforted me.

"In that case, you wouldn't mind following her to where she is going to." The horrendous and thick voice of the alpha was heard and I scowled. I can never forget that monster's voice or face, one day Lara will fully heal and I will get my full strength and on that day, I will make him plead for mercy and beg for me for his life, the same way I begged and pleaded five years ago.
